گهڻو ياد ايندي، ها ايندي تون آهين!
ضروري ته ناهي جو ساحل تي وڇڙي،
وري ڪنهنجي پيرن جي خوشبوءَ جو پُڇجي!
۽ آڌي جو تنها ٿي رستن تي رُلجي!
ضروري ته ناهي ضروري ته ناهي!
جو دل جي شهر جي سڄي هيڪلائي،
ستارن جي دل کي ٻڌائي به ڇڏجي!
ضروري ته ناهي جو پاڳل هوا کان،
کِلي ڪنهن جي زلفن جا احوال وٺجن!
ٿُڪي پنهنجي رَت کي رڳو خواب اُڻجن،
کڻي يادگيرن جا خيما اُڌارا،
ٿڌين موسمن ۾ ٿڌا ساهه کَڻجن!
ضروري ته ناهي ضروري ته ناهي!
جو وڻجاري قدمن جي ڪنولن تي سوچي،
گلابن جو پتيون هٿن ساڻ ميڙي،
ٻه ٽي لُڙڪ هاري ڪتابن ۾ رکجن،
ڊگها درد مَن جي اکين ساڻ ٻکجن!
۽ الڪن جي ڪاري ايامن جي بَرَ ۾،
رڳو نيڻ اُگهجن، رڳو لفظ گُهٽجن،
او ڍوليا او جانم! ضروري ته ناهي،
جو ماڻهو اجايو پٿر تي نسورو،
کڻي خاص موسم جي آرن ۾ وڇڙي،
۽ وڇڙڻ لئه ڪوئي بهانو به گهڙجي،
گهڻي دير تائين ٿِي سگريٽ سَڙجي،
او دلبر پيارا ضروري ته ناهي.
