I was wondering why the X1 was doing so well, but the onboard made it clear - it's so light and nimble through those tight corners. It's a close race (no pun intended) though, but the 992 steals my heart again - such a beautiful machine 😍
Very stacked field on one of the most spectacular and demanding hillclimbs recorded in a way you really feel dynamic and action. Love onboard bits from few cars there as well.This is how you make a video from racing event.Thank you for years of tireless promotion of this amazing and beautiful raw motorsport.
Great footage, super sounds, marvelous action! My favourite? There is none - these guys are all either heros behind the wheel or nuts, you name it! All of them on the edge - some even slightly overdid it!
My favorite car was the Audi Quattro S1! But the sound of the Lotus Exige Cup 260 was INSANE! And the speed for rear wheel drive was Awesome! But Fiat X1/9 Ferrari has the speed and sound and the agility to Dominate At Least That Hill It Did! Love It!!

The original design for the X1/9 is, what, 50 years old? Whoever penned that design was thinking way ahead. It looks very "modern" compared to the other cars. Another entertaining video!

is it just me or golf have few misfires on last couple of races. great result tough. I can only hope to se Schagerl, Reto, Krupa , Rybnicek, Dondi , Michl and few others on same event with theirs A game.
The thing is that here at Cividale pretty much everyone raced on optimal conditions (apart from Grudnik which crashed on its last run and was on the way to place either 5th or 4th, and Zlatkov who continues the development of the new Quattro).
PLEASE tell me you have the full onboard footage of the Fiat X1?? That is one of the most insane things ive ever seen holy crap. I feel adrenaline pumping while sitting on the sofa eating chips
I would be pleased to participate to a hillclimb race with my 72hp Dacia Logan Break. I might put a "Push me please" sticker on the rear ;-) But frankly the risk of dying in a such race with a Logan is very high ! Ok, I'll won't do it :-)
@@HillClimbMonsters Sorry I can't remember driver names, the Lancia just clipped them, but the Subaru seems to brake late and carry too much speed, felt like he could have got an advantage? But fair enough if they take each case on its merits. Thanks again for a great video!

The skills of each driver not withstanding, it seems the more BHP a car has along with the more air handling the car has (wings, dams and and diffusers) the more a driver has to "tame the beast" which "looks to my unprofessional eye" to add up to a partial loss of efficiency. Again, a good driver in an over-powered car may seem to overcome some of these losses, but I would think the right car for the track would usually prevail.
You could spend several hundred thousand dollars, or several million, on a Ferrari OR you could mod an X 1/9 and have just as much fun for a mere fraction of the cost.
RS3? With 2.0L VW engine, and fwd? I mean,WTF????!?!?? All of my brain cells are died after I saw this,this is golf GTI with all of that stuff,that's not even close to the real RS3

Depends. On that case with Taus, there wasn´t as they deemed there was no noticeable advantage taken from it.

This is the fastest single run time, not the combined time. Schagerl was fastest touring car with just an 0,46 sec. lead.
