- Comedian Matt Friend joins Adam and throughout does impressions of Adam with Adam, including a hilarious and impressive bit where Matt manages to encompass both Trump and Adam as if they were having a conversation together. He also does some notable impressions of Kevin Spacey, Obama, Paul Giamatti and more. They talk of other comedians and their fitness levels and if and how that affects their comedy. Adam is annoyed at women who swoon over men who have one specific great skill.
Chris reports the news and first talks about a crash that occurred recently with Pete Davidson in Beverly Hills, resulting in traffic school and community service. We learn about the excessive rate at which Kias and Hyundais are being stolen due to a Tik Tok trend, resulting in dealerships giving away free anti-theft devices when you buy their cars.
Greg Gutfeld joins Adam where they discuss cancer culture today, and debate where this current cultural climate first began. Plus some certain politicians were caught being dishonest.

I hope in 5 or 10 years this kid is polished and brilliant. He definitely needs the years. His trump was horrific, and he thought it was so good. Hopefully something humbles him and he can get it.
He has a lot of tonal inflections nailed down. He just needs to polish the pacing and wording, then it will all come together.
Everyone’s a critic as well as a professional that can give him the exact advice he needs to get better.

@@minimaxrock That was on Carolla. He's not the best interviewer, but he was not letting Hammond talk and for Rotten Tomatoes, the premise was Hammond's impersonations, but some idiot on the Carolla staff confused Darryl Hammond with Dana Carvey. AceMan panicked

An impersonater is pretty boring by itself. Humor, charm, and context is necessary to legitimately entertain. Seems like that is lost on this kid. Adam deserves better!
It's why Caliendo's show tanked. Talented? Sure, he's got some spot-on impressions, but it can't sustain itself as a platform.
What makes Kyle Dunnigan’s Trump so great isn’t that it is accurate, it’s that it is recognizable while also being absurd. It’s the impersonation version of a caricature.

Adam has a weird mix of LA and northeastern USA accents, like he lived in PA when he was a kid and then moved to LA. You gotta have a little of that loose New England thing on top of the surfy midwesterner thing

Big failure on the Trump impersonation is that Trump does not do a lot of uh’s and um’s. The pacing is off, too, and you need to do a subdued Nutty Professor-like rise in tone and volume for CERTAIN WORDS!
His trump is actually pretty bad. He doesn't have the dialect down, or the style of speech. It's not one of his more impressive impersonations
His stern is good but his normal voice is very close to stern. His other impression are not good. He needs ALOT MORE PRACTICE THE MORE HE DOES THE WORSE HE SOUNDS.

I already sound like Mike Judge so I do a dead on Hank Hill voice. I also like to do James Earl Jones which when recorded and played back sounds like Butthead doing Darth Vader.
I love Adam. I just read his book, I'm Your Emotional Support Animal. Great freaking book! However, its plain to see why he and his wife divorced. He really drags her through the mud in that book. Much of it was kinda in good fun I suppose. But some of it was plain mean and nasty. Even if all of it was true. Pretty shitty saying all that in a book when you're married, especially if you have kids with the person. Never, still a fan and love the guy! And this guest was really great, too. His Adam impression is just average though. Howard Stern is excellent!!!

I was recently thinking about Alec Baldwin, too. It’s pretty amazing that his grossly negligent handling of a firearm resulted in him murdering someone and his first inclination is to blame everyone and anything other than himself.
And yet he will do no jail time whatsoever. Meanwhile, anyone who was anywhere near Washington DC on 01/06/21 is being tracked down, harassed and threatened with jail time. Anyone who dared to enter the (tax-payer funded) Capitol building to take a selfie is doing decades in prison.

Kid has charm. He made some adjustments and became a great guest. Good on him, man. A little more reverence and he'll be a great guest.
I like this guy but he needs to relax and let things happen a little more organically. On Howard he does the same thing. He doesn’t want more than 20 seconds to go by without crowbarring something in. He could be good and will maybe get there. He’s just had a lot of recognition too quickly. He teeters between funny and annoying.

He does a brilliant Howard Stern impression (and others) but Matt Friend was unbearable during this show. As the great Brian David Whitman said, you have to have material as well as the impression and he does not have ANY material. Just as Kyle Dunnigan is brilliant this guy is 50% of the way there. Destroyed the show to barely listenable.
