Comix Zone was soooo far ahead of it's time. It was so uniquely intuitive in it's style and approach, that very few games could ever replicate something like that. It's a shame it never got a sequel!!
ah !!! it's so good to see that you have them play to Nintendo and SEGA. i'm a sega fan. the choice of the games is really great. SOR forever ! Congratulations.
Comix Zone was such a unique concept. I love that game. I enjoyed the comments comparing Gunstar and Cuphead. Couldn't help comparing some of the special moves in Streets of Rage with TMNT Hyperstone Heist (another classic button-masher)
I used to play Golden Axe with my older sister, always. In a way, she didn't really like it, but those days were weird. To actually have a female protagonist was a big big deal. So, she would normally choose that female... and play, she actually completed GA1 with me! I remember those memories well... ahh those were the days.
I grew up a Nintendo kid, but I have played all these Genesis games. Gunstar Heroes is my favorite of this bunch and Altered Beast stinks. Castlevania Bloodlines is my overall favorite game on the Sega Genesis.

They missed out on the sports games! My buddies and I would get off work on a Friday night, grab a bunch of drinks and snacks and start a hockey tournament that would end sometime Sunday afternoon. And we went hard at it. Once we started the tourney, we'd all chip in some cash and the guys not playing were responsible for grabbing takeout, beer runs, etc. And you had to use a different team every tournament. Some of the best weekends I've ever had.
I still play Toe Jam and Earl and Sonic on Sega , Spyro the dragon on PS1 and Ratchet and Clank on PS2 . I am in my early 60's. I personally think all the old system games are better than the newer games.
I keep forgetting the consoles and games that were around when I was young are over 3 decades old. It's interesting seeing young people discover and react to them.
I got my Sega Genesis 30 years ago in May 1994. It was a birthday present for me and a graduation present for my brother. And it came with a free game and we had to choose between Mortal Kombat or NBA Jam, we went with Mortal Kombat. We had a Sega Genesis and NES and some friends had a NES and SNES when we’re weren’t out riding bikes we were playing having Mortal Kombat competitions between the SNES and Genesis versions.
for me it’s flashbacks to our best friend jasmine’s basement playing sonic while her dad was barbecuing outside upstairs and the whole neighbourhood smelled delicious
These kids who didn't like Toejam and Earl just don't know what's good. lol. I was horribly addicted to that game, and Earthworm Jim, when I was a kid.
Sega had some cool systems back in the day, could have them try some Master System games like Alex Kidd, Golden Axe, Double Dragon, and California Games
REACT, that video was so cool, bro. The only game I really remember playing on the Saga was "Mortal Kombat" & I remember hearing so much fun playing the game on my own & with friends. The REACT cast really need to play Mortal Kombat on the Saga I think they'd have so much fun too. REACT cast, I hope you are all having a really awesome day/night.🇦🇺✌️🤠🔥🎮

Do you remember before Sonic the Hedgehog, when Altered Beast was the game that came with the Sega Genesis? Pepperidge Farm remembers.....
Earthworm Jim would be a goid one to show them.
Comix Zone was such a unique concept. I love that game.

It would melt their brain to see super sonic.
"The old looking things in the old looking thing" I've never felt older and more insulted 😂
Oh wow. I owned the original Sega that came out before Genesis as well. That sucker wasn't easy to find. Most people have never even seen one.

I still have a SEGA Genesis, Sonic, Road Rash II, Paper Boy, Madden 92, 94, 96, 98.
You should've had them play Mortal Kombat.
Ryker is just absolutely amazing 👍👍👍👍
Vectorman, BallZ, Sonic SpinBall
"Those old looking things.."
"Kaset tapes?"
I never felt so old 😂
sonic and phantasy star were the only games i can remember playing on sega, and still love playing phantasy star

When comic zone came on, memories came rushing back!
I love TJ&E so much. I am *always* down to watch people play it.
This is the third time this was uploaded
So I'm not going crazy? This is like the fourth time I've seen a repeat video on this channel.
Yup! Love the content and the teens are likeable. But come on.

Gunstar Heroes and Comix Zone was my best on this list. When i was a kid i play them so hard :D
"I could punch you... WHY WOULD YOU PUNCH ME?!" 🤣🤣🤣
Fun watching "Amelie ▶ and she's so adorable. Great video guys 👏

Comix Zone every time :D
2nd time you've told the people they beat the first level on Streets of Rage 2 when in fact they did not.

Still have my old Sega Genesis to this day.
I have a feeling Joe Bereta's guidance made this experience fun for the kids. Good job.
Toe jam and earl is so much fun.
9:16 . I paused it on their reactions. I love it 😂👍
Fun fact two players can play at the same time. Controller 2 controls tails
true but they are 2 stupids kids from the future for that they never think about that
@@devill2312 got an edgelord chud over here, everybody…
You could even get away with doing SEGA Dreamcast now. Those kids weren't born yet...
@2:01 - "They couldn't make them LONG, so they had to make them HARD"
(That's what she said)
Well said, my good man.
Before Sonic, I think Alex Kidd was the original mascot for Sega, but he wasn't marketable enough.
I love you guys for loving Sega. I have Sega and Sonic and other Sonic characters tatted
LMAO!!! 12:41 "Roadkill?! Do I eat it?" Because that's the first that comes to mind when you see roadkill, right?
As someone who collects for the Genesis I have a feeling this is gonna hurt my soul.
I love "Shining In The Darkness" and the "Phantasy Star" series on Genesis
Comix zone cool. 😎 10. It was also necessary to teach blows. Launch a paper airplane. The blows are different. It was even cooler then. ))
My top 5 genesis games are
Phantasy star 4
Contra hard corps
Streets of rage 2
Shining force 2
Shinobi 3

ah Comix Zone didn't beat it when I'm on 3rd grade, finished it on my freshman year of hs
I love this one.
Fun! Sonic was my whole childhood haha And Comix Zone is awesome to this day!
I still haven't played comix zone and I think it came out when I was 11. still looks pretty cool. also gotta play vectorman!
LOVE LOVE Comix Zone… with X-men 97 and D&W being a hit Disney needs to re-release the X-MEN games.😮
Altered Beast is one of my all time favorite games
Flashback is my favorite game on the Genesis and probably most favorite game of all time.
Sega was truly the peak level of 16bit games!
How are they confused on sonic controls? There's literally one button, jump. Down and jump to spin dash. Thats it...
I would have loved to see their reactions to Skitchin’ and Golden Axe
2:26 . She roasted him 😂
You gave me chills when you brought out gunstar
You should always say Sega fast and loud like the old commercials. "SEGA!"
I still play Toe Jam and Earl and Sonic on Sega , Spyro the dragon on PS1 and Ratchet and Clank on PS2 . I am in my early 60's. I personally think all the old system games are better than the newer games.
Sega genesis hella underrated
I had the Sega Nomad which made the Genesis games portable.
Streets of Rage 2 and you didn't let them hear/see the bar scene?!?!? An absolute SIN! LOL
*prob not age appropriate 😂*
You needed to play Beavis and Butthead
That Charlie girl defenetly has the right mind set and attitude to be a gamer

Alex Kidd was going to be the mascot but could not compete with mario
"Took me a while to know what controls did what"....
Jump.
That's it.
Sega genesis was my first game console and i preferred genesis to snes
The colors/art on Comix Zone are insane. Probably one of my favorites in the video for sure 🔥
It's sad they didn't show shining force.
"They couldnt make them long so they had to make them hard!" xD
Declan and Charlie would make a great couple. This is a rerun!
To really make the experience authentic player 2 should have a crappy Mad Catz controller.
With a turbo mode who never work
Blessed to see all from 1980-Now what a life of gaming throughout the decades
The Genny has so many great games. The Sonic games, Castlevania Bloodlines, Flicky, Gain Ground, Chuck Rock, The Lost Vikings, etc.
Tuvisteis la mizma reacción que yo con 12 años jugando a CZone, es una idea espectacular y un juego que nos fascinaba a casi todos, i love it
If only they knew about the 1up at the very start of SoR2 also that was not the end of the level for SoR
Streets of rage one of best games ever, and the soundtrack... AMAZING!
This makes me feel so old haha 🤣
My first console was a Sega Genesis. I, like many people who grew up during that era were veterans of the Bit Wars.
All the games I grew up on and still play (-:
Classic multiplayer for the win🏆
My favorit game in Sega
1.Aladin
2.Contra the hard corp
3.Sonic
No Zombies ate my neighbors?
'High energy, considering we are about to fight'........what kind of music does she except....Ministry of Sounds Best of Lounge Chill Out? lol
Cool Spot is another great Sega game
Love your lineup! Wish you could have had them play Rock and Roll Racing, Street Fighter 2 or Maximum Carnage but I guess those aren't exclusive.
My kids are 17 and 15 and they know what the hell a Sega Genesis is.
My top 3 favorite Sega Genesis games are 1) tiny toons adventures 2) bubbles and squeak 3) Pocahontas
I always tried to convince my friends to play Comix Zone, but they were all nintendo fan boys and refused to paly sega. It's such a great game
Fanboys are sad, they lose good games because of ego. We should just enjoy good games from any platform.
I was a Sega Fanboy, but i never disdained to play some Nintendo only games.
Such a Great Video... Thanks for making me feel super old. Love it still
Emerald Hill Zone Act 1 is NOT "intense"!
Try Underground Zone on the Game Gear version, that's intense.
Comix Zone would be so much easier with a controller with 6 buttons.
streets os rage 2 was great,., they actually came out with a 4th one on steam
Tails-Miles Prower is so adorable. Alex Kidd was the old SEGA mascot. SEGA is short for "Service Games".
This vid hurt my soul...I felt ANCIENT! ( I'm 37)
I'm 45. I empathize.
I feel ya man, I hate to admit it but we're...old
[pushes up glasses] There's a little thing called "blast processing" that makes all of this possible. Genesis does what Nintendon't!
These kids who didn't like Toejam and Earl just don't know what's good. lol. I was horribly addicted to that game, and Earthworm Jim, when I was a kid.
