Today the Melbourne Grand Prix had a Super Hornet Display instead of a Classic Hornet 2 F/A-18F Super Hornets flew down from Williamtown to Melbourne Airport and being Based out of there Snakeeye who did the Display it was his first time to the GP with the aircraft i stood in the same place as last time for the Classic Hornet Trees have grown and i lost him a bit so Enjoy the Sound and what you can see

Hey tanzeel, somewhere around early may each year the wings over ilawarra airshow is on at albion park rail. just past wollongong . Google it . every year they have an f-18 display and with that georgeous mountain ridge behind it, sound alone makes you shiver.. just a quick rail jpourney from sydney (about an hour)

I'm pretty sure all the Super Hornets are from RAAF Base Amberley, Williamtown only have the normal Hornets along with the new F-35's.

great capture seems you were at turn 2? I was at turn 10. been to the gp since '96 seen dual F18 classics, f111, b747, a380 and now super hornet. such an in your face demo something you don't see at Avalon the power right over your head at 80 metres! liked :)

For me, F/A-18F is the most beautiful 4th-gen Fighter!
Its sucks coz its an Aircraft-Carrier capable jet it has shorter lifespan and would be retired earlier than Airforce Jets!
