The Native is one of my favorite designs from Spyderco. I have the original FS version, the S90V 2015 Forum Knife, a Maxamet & two S30V (satin & DLC), as well as the G-10 Blurple S110V.
great review! i like how its surprisingly easy to operate, id call it figitable. also theres no fine tuning needed, its just centered and locks up solid everytime.
@@Knifeandkompass77 I was lucky I guess getting into knives and collecting and sharpening a couple years back and went crazy with the purchases and have a cts-xhp Chief and a c/f s90v versions along with a recent purchase the s30v Chief. Really looking forward to the lightweight chief in magnacut. Happy Nee Year 🙋♂️✌🏼
I have a native 5 LW and I do like it but there is an issue with these knives that spyderco should fix. The handle screw that is right behind the lock bar cannot be tightened fully, it must be left loose. If you tighten it down it will bind up the lockbar. I have had multiple versions of the native 5 LW and they all suffer from this issue.

Yup it’s really a great knife in so many ways
. Thx for the comment!
I love this knife. Always on me with my manix 2. My manix 2 salt is on the way from the USA can’t wait man. 🎉
Oh yea those are slick
Enjoy man
Have many native’s in various steels. Can’t keep the Native Chief out of my pocket. Along with a serrated magnacut native 5 lw. Great knives.👍🏻
I also want a chief
Native is such a great knife
Thx for the comment

@@DuhYaThink nice! That is very Kool
@@DuhYaThink happy new year to you to and thx again!
spyderco FRN is also my favorite handle material/design for folding knives. I'm always amused by how much hate it gets.
Me to
I think they are very usable and durable
I much prefer the japanese spyderco FRN to the US version. Doesn't file your pants or your knuckles when you reach in your pocket
Good luck with the channel 🍀
Thx appreciate that!
Only thing that bothers me is that the cutting edge is only 1/3 of the knife. Metal part of choil is too long.
Yes I know what you mean ther is a few spyderco models like this but to me the native seems less then some
i think that choil is perfect since its meant to be part of the handle. but yeah that does bother me lol
This is the most Canadian knife review I never saw
Lol 😂 it’s unhidable

Interesting
Good thing to note thanks for that!
Wish they would make a native with compression lock. Probably wont happen with the shaman being so similar.
There is a lil native with one
I bought two.
