You will need CL, riftwatchers and rebellion in modern. You will also need SPS if you want to earn rewards.
If you open your CL packs you could sell the golds and buy more packs and keep repeating because CL golds are going up rapidly despite the overprint because they are needed for land and they are the sweet spot. You only have a short time before the next set comes out on the 5th. The new set is deadly.
How much SPS is needed? what is the sweet spot ?
The Splintercards website and Aftersound Gaming on youtube (he's like Bloomberg for Splinterlands) will keep you always up to date. The new set coming out called rebellion seems to be aimed at making it much harder for bots and battle helpers. In my opinion BH's have already invaded modern (because they can't be detected) so I stopped playing ranked and I'm waiting for the new set to come out.

@@SLGuides It scales depending on your league. For example, for similar rewards before SPS staking in Diamond you need to stake 200k.
