i love using my own stash! i've taken time to purge products in my stash and now only have what i love and will for sure use from all brands. between being a studio calico, ali edwards, elle studio, becky higgins PL and a few other subscribers, purchases made at Michaels, joann, and HL, and attending scrapbook conventions...since 1996...you can imagine i have purged products from two scrapbook rooms to one and it has been sooo refreshing and not overwhelming! i love what i'm left with and always motivated to use it bc i know i could never find it in the market again. i look forward to you using your stash and maybe give new tips that i don't know of. 🙂 how cool! my sister in law is an attorney also-accident & injury, it was soo much fun to watch her thru the entire process- study during school in 2003, graduate with her masters, pass the bar and now has her own firm and runs the show alongside her BFF from law school. what a fun career for you and her! excited for you next video. tfs!!!

I totally get where you are coming from... I too have supplies built up over decades. For the past few years I've been tracking my new supplies coming in and supplies I'm using to make sure that I'm making a dent in my stash. I also went through the hoarding supplies that I loved phase, but now I'm really excited whenever I find a use for stash items. I'm happy to share my tips + ideas for stash busting, I hope you enjoy.

Thanks for the sound of the typewriter… it brought back memories from when I learned to type in the early 80’s.

Yes, use your stash. I'm going to do that more often and try to only purchase items for a specific project if I don't have it in my stash.

That sounds like a great plan! I am going to do a mix of new products + stash items, but I'm excited for more opportunities to stash bust.

Thanks for sharing! Yes to more stash-busting in 2025 with the AE kit change. This year, I've been usually doing two weeks from the SBTM kits because I feel like there is so much product.

Yes, the SBTM kits are packed! I have been planning and creating additional projects with mine (behind on that though) after doing one weekly spread.

You can type very fast on a manual typewriter, but it requires strong fingers that are used to typing that way. It also forced us to be better typists when we couldn't edit mistakes without retyping the entire page. Back when I took typing in 9th grade (1979) it was on a manual and getting strong ring and pinkie fingers was a goal.

Yes, I'm not at all familiar with this keyboard! I am a fast typist on a computer (or I also had an automatic typewriter before), but I rely heavily on the delete (which my automatic typewriter had) and sometimes even on autocorrect. I also have small hands/fingers so probably not great for a manual typewriter (I play the piano also and it's horrible for that). I will need to practice more on this, so far it's been a little frustrating with how many mistakes I make and that I can't fix them, but I'm sure I'll get better with practice.

Why do AE and Cocoa Daisy no longer making monthly kits? Sounds like a trend. I believe a good option is to use your stash. I stopped using AE monthly kits early this year because I felt they were more directed to users of TNs, which I am not but adapted a couple kits. I thought this wasted time. I guess digital kits may be my direction for kits. Very disappointing and bitter sweet for sure! Love your pocket scrapping! Thanks for your stories and thought process!❤ loved the typing sounds too! I love my cliquey keyboard too. Love this video and the picture at the end! 😊❤

AE and Cocoa Daisy are still making their monthly kits! CD kits are staying the same and I am continuing on with their scrapbook kit + pocket card add on which is specifically designed for project life and works great. AE is continuing her SBTM kits which are very much geared towards project life and I will continue using those as well. The big change that is impacting me is that AE is discontinuing her story kits, but she has a replacement quarterly kit instead that is debuting in January. So for me, that means one fewer monthly kit, so more of an opportunity for stash busting. Studio Calico did discontinue their kits, but I haven't gotten from them in awhile so it won't be a huge impact for me. For my main subs, AE + CD, most things are staying the same!
