      Got a ? Pedro , >1 mile- 2 , sandwiches (actually 1 lg cut in 1/2)
      2 sides (pickle & brownie) and 2 drinks (lg rasp ice tea, sprite) $31 bill plus $8 tip (on the bill) driver knew of $8 tip, shows up missing the rasp ice tea--driver didn’t want to return w/ drink (went to reach in pocket to refund me $2.49 for the missing drink. I told her not to worry about it, but then got to think about the transaction as it transpired, it is less than a mile, and then made extra $2.50 (for nearly $11 tips forgetting it wrong--what is proper “dash etiquette” ????

    Mine has been 100% for a few months. 10 minutes is all that’s required to wait at any store. After that, you go through the dasher help automated chat feature to drop the order with zero stat penalties. You NEVER click the “unassign” feature straight after the question mark. Go down to that dasher help automated chat feature and go through the process to unassign the order. Always click “I want to drop the order” rather than customer or store wants it dropped. They will call to see what’s going on. Keep ‘em rolling and make it to git gone!

      I've been getting an option lately to cancel with no penalty after waiting 5 min in drive thrus. Doesn't happen every time but I see it nightly now

      @@SationalCyn that lasts for a few days, then randomly starts popping up when we don’t really need it. When we’re waiting for a cheap $3.25/5 mile order we took to stop the string of bad orders, it’ll never pop up. If we’re on a $15/3 mile delivery…oh we see that thing after 5 minutes no sweat. DD is all about giving drivers everything they need when they need it the least.

      Yeah sometimes I wait a long time and I don't get the option to drop penalty free. I read somewhere else in these comments that the store has certain options affecting right to refuse. I think it's tough to figure out the algorithm. But I wonder if it's busy, or the store is known for a long wait times. Then it gives you the option to drop after 10 minutes or so.

    Of course ratings matters .. wanna know a key metric that is super important yet undisclosed.... Pickup to delivery time is a hyper focus by most gigs yet not really disclosed.

    AR rating is now mattering more than when I first started. hit over 90% and I'm getting bigger offers, less of them but better paying. Still don't take anything under 4$.

    Something weird happened the other day. Completion rate went from 83 to 100 magically. Then yesterday my ar went from 44 to 90% magically. Not complaining as I got good orders

    Ive been dropping more lately. If its going to a hospital or "front desk" of a business/school and the tip is small i cancel the order. Gotta be worth the hassle
    That being said, after doing this for a few years i can admit there was a time when i took whatever i could get cause i needed it. Everybody is in a different situation and have to act accordingly. Make it work for you

      Over 6k deliveries and i do not go into schools or hospitals. I get a few every month and i simply text or call the customer and let them know that I will meet them at any entrance the building they choose. Front, back side ill be there but im not coming in. Ive never had 1 problem or bad rating from this. Dont assume the customers aren't willing to work with us.

      Dropping those “drop at the desk” orders is just common sense. Only complaints I got were from clowns like that. I dropped a few other orders, but if I recognize the address or even the general area near certain places I won’t even accept ‘em. Never been worth the aggravation.

    For me in my area. If my AR is between 90-100% I get nothing but crap offers and high mileage. Verses AR between 80-90% the offers are great for my area. Crap being back to back $2.50 offers and great being average $8 and above with lower mileage. On time 96% and completion 100% 1519 delivery's. That's not a lot but it's enough to get an idea about what may be happening. Keep pushing forward. It might get better.

    Ratings definitely matter. If you want to have success, you have to adapt. Doordash is changing. It’s becoming more focused on what you do or you will make less.

    it makes no sense that we get knocked for completion when the RESTAURANT is running 20 MINUTES late
    we are not being paid more to waste our time waiting on someone's order
    but if we drop the order because WE DONT WANT TO WASTE OUR HALF HOUR WAITING FOR A 3 DOLLAR ORDER
    that shows up on "completion rate"
    because we didn't want to wait
    20 mins
    on a 3 dollar order.

    I’m 11😂 percent acceptance on door dash and 95 completion rate and I still get 30 dollar tips sometimes it don’t matter

    my rating dropped under 70% for the 1st time since i made my new account about a month ago and man, the offers were awful. i can’t imagine the shit you see under 50% 😭 cherry picking or following some dumb rule just to decline orders all is day is crazy to me

    We make it "matter"...first they introduced the yelp and twitter where we rate and review restaurants and businesses. Then we rate uber/doordash drivers and finally we'll be rating our neighbors and family. Soon enough we will have a social credit score like China. It's the programming/conditioning of the mind. Eventually it'll be like that Blackmirror episode. Or like George Orwell's 1984.

    Yo pedro my dude!!! Hope all is well! Just wanted to share. My acceptance rating is a 3%. I still get catering orders with 30$ plus in tips hidden. For .9 miles. 38$ bucks for 7 mins total not bad for 3% acceptance. That’s just one example of many. But I still prefer spark. Make over a grand easy barely working. Used to be way better but starting to get over saturated in my market now. Just what I’ve experienced here in the Pittsburgh market.

    Doordash has not paid me for my tip that was added after my delivery was completed. They put it together. I accepted a order for $10.25. Then I got a add to route for $2 at the same store. The customer that was added to the route gave me a $5 tip., 10 later. Doordash put my tip on the first order I accepted for $10.25.

      Actually they did.
      Go look back at the order in your app and you will see it is added to "DoorDash pay" not "customer tips"
      Not sure why they do it that way but I have over 15 orders show the tip was added to "DoorDash pay" every time. and the final total is higher.
      I will admit took me about 10 mins to figure it out the first time it happened. I got a text saying a $10 tip was added and I couldn't find it in the tips line. It was a single order and they didn't stack so easier to see. Anyway I looked at the tip line and it did not go higher. Luckily I remembered what payout was after I completed the order (was like $11.25) , so I looked at the total payout and it was $10 higher (22.25). But still didn't show in customer tip line. Thats when I realized DD added it to "DoorDash pay"
      If you still don't see it, DD could have possibly added it to "Other reimbursement"
      To find that, go to earnings tab and the WEEK you dashed and scroll all the way down and you will see OTHER in bold print and under that it may say reimbursement $10
      But should be the first way I explained, as thats where I always found them, every time>

    I use to be super inpatient when I first started delivering and would drop a LOT of orders but over the years I've gotten better at being patient so now my DD completion rate is 89%

    I take screenshots of my stats when I’ve been late or dropped an accepted order and the math doesn’t add up. My completion rate and on time don’t update correctly. Haven’t since day one. I’ve reported it and nothing. I had one late in 275 orders and I’m at 94%… if they matter so much why are they not right?

    100% AR matters in my area. I slipped below 50% for a couple days. Hovered between 47-49%. Another of low pay, high mileage or mile to mile orders offered. The instant my AR hit 50%, $10.75 diamond order, $13.50 diamond order. This has been the norm in my area.

      It's not too common but does happen. Especially later at night as restaurants run out of things. Honestly the most common reason for an order to be dropped are for those customers that don't tip us. I don't usually accept them but sometimes one will slip by.

    I have 93 %competition rate and 67% asepting reat and I don’t see order more than $10 for 6mi 85%of the orders they was for $4.75for 2.9 mileages 3.9 mileages come on. And I don’t t make more than 600 per week But when I was 37% or 30% accepting rate I was making 800 to 1000 for same hours same area I try everything and I don’t care anymore for asepting reat I care how much I’m gonna make!!!

    I unassigned 2, $2. No tip Orders lastnight. After waiting 20 minutes & the unassign button never popped up. Plus, Looked up the street view on Google maps & didn't feel comfortable going to those houses that late at night. I hate it. I had 100% completion rate til then 😢 lol O well

    Nope! I been at almost 80 n at 53 I still see same 3.00 orders but u do get to get on when u want except this week n next week it’s dash whenever for all! I’m cherry picking because I’m sick of taking crap orders n getting a bunch of 3.00 orders at 80 percent n then I’m at 53 and I’m getting 12.00 orders!

    Damn this isn’t what your talking about but my satisfaction rate was 99-100 percent for over 2 years , now it’s at its lowest at 95% , which I only deserve one of the bad reviews because I may have delivered to the wrong address. I wasn’t sure when I delivered it because there was no house numbers, other than that the only bad reviews I’ve ever gotten were from people who tried to scam and get free food, or from people who got missing items in their order from the restaurant, which is not my issue when the bag is sealed

    Lmao😂😂😂😂. I worked on all the major platforms and I know how they all work. DoorDash's is the worst in my opinion. Do you know what the criteria is for them in consideration of handing a person a order? The easy answer is no. But there are five main points that all of the platform use to be able to dictate who gets what order? It has all to do with efficiency.

    Chili's is the reason for most the orders I reassign.
    Applebees is another reason I drop the orders. They are super slow so now I don't even mess around with those places unless the tip is very good.

    Ratings do matter if there are a lot of drivers out for that day. If i dont want cheapies, i will only dash a short time or i'll do just a few orders. I don't dd full time as a did when I 1st started, for different reasons. I agree if there's a driver out there with a higher rating, they'll get more orders. But a lower rated driver can increase their ratings for that day if they take everything, then it helps them.

    It does depend on your area a lot of times because if you have five people out there that have a top-rating and then they're all out delivering and then somebody else comes up with a low rating, and orders star coming in, dd needs to get their delivery out, so they're not going to let food sit. They're going to reach out to someone who is closest sometimes.

    I DoorDash in the Houston area and I have to say I do my time & tip, and it has helped my rates out tremendously, the only complaint I have no matter what they should be a tip, a mandatory amount, will you do a time you don’t really see what you’re getting or anything until it’s all done

    The problem with getting 50%+ AR is getting there the first time. I cannot stomach to take a 4$ order going 8 miles just to gain a couple AR percent. Ratings wouldnt matter if so many people wouldnt have been brainwashed into getting diamond. Yall are feeding into doordash and making sure they never raise the pay. Lmao

    Hell yeah they matter if you don't believe it why am I getting paid more to travel farther to pick up orders when there drivers sitting in the parking lot pay attention my numbers are 4.99cutomer 96%acceptance rate 100% completion rate and a 93% on time rate and I run 3 times the amount of order then anyone any of the zones I work so facts

    You're customer rating matter because I was making $24-26 per hour with an 32%AR. Dashing in the Central West End, Manchester & Maryland Heights. Get your money by any means because we don't own DD, UE, etc

      It’s for their benefit. Now that some states have a mandatory hourly pay DoorDash will now lose money if your sitting at each pickup 30 minutes.

    I have a perfect ratings on each category. I have sat and watched DD get orders all week that doesn't have perfect ratings. I made 12. Today. 26 last night. Does it matter? Come on DD.

    If you believe that, then just come out and say it: rankings protect you from $2.75 orders. Or perhaps you might say that you decline fewer junk orders before you see a reasonable order. I’d venture you see better orders (when you ‘demo-dash’) because you’re a fairly high profile gigtuber, who is compliant, and mostly noncritical. “It is what it is”…. I’d wager it pays better than driving full time.

    I have been hovering around 88% CR. Only reason its that low is because i use it to offset some crap offers. Ya I think it might matter cause my High Priority offers arent the best. Gonna focus on CR to see if that helps.

      Doordash is ass I multi app all the time and my acceptance rate on ubereats is 6 percent and I still make twice as much as doordash and I have a 90 percent acceptance rate

    My problem is that my acceptance and completion rates very,VERY rarely go up. Out of my last 50 completed orders only THREE...THREE have counted for me. But let me decline an order? Drops immediately.
    I have called customer service numerous times and they told me there is nothing they can do to bring it back up but they will direct it to the proper division. Cricket..nada.. freaking nothing is what I hear back. So I have requested to speak to a supervisor, and yet again I get written up to this other division and yet again nothing happens. I have requested at least a dozen times now to please, please, please have a supervisor call me because I've got to get this straightened out. So no one calls me but they reset my acceptance rate. Now it was already at 78 where it should have been 100 but they reset it and my completion rate did not change at all. Now both of my ratings are really cruddy.. I'm barely in the priority range and you are correct Pedro it definitely has made a difference. I don't know what to do I can't get customer service to get me to his supervisor, I can't get any help. I just don't know what to do.
    I do take screenshots at the beginning and end of each shift so I can prove it if the world stops spinning and someone calls me.

    The new metric on rideshare platforms is your overall driver score which gives you different levels of status and I can promise you that when you achieve Platinum status and maintain it you get much better responses from the support.
