I had it too. My parents got it for me on my 10th birthday. Wish I still had it. But gonna be getting all my favorite Godzilla movies on Blu Ray soon but I already know this logo won't be available.
rw:i remember this logo when i was little,it came from a vhs called 50 of the Greatest Cartoons volumes 1/2,and surprisingly it came from the other vhs called The Three Mouseketeers ,which i bet you all did not know that John De Lancie (who does his role as Q from the Startrek series and of course the voice of Discord from My Little Pony Friendship is Magic)he also did his voice acting to the Cardinal Cat from The Three Mouseketeers, talk about learning stuff from the past.
This used to scare the holy farts out of me as a kid I would go put on the cartoon tape with the many cartoons and this came on it sounds like something out of a 1980s horror movie now I think it's pretty cool still creepy but cool kinda sounds like something out of Halloween 3 lol
I think I finally found it. As a child, I used to constantly hum this melody that I believe is this one. I loved the sound of the opening theme and is probably why still to this day I like dark ominous synths. Man, that was a nice lil visceral nostalgic moment, lol.
Somehow ended up with the master tapes that this company used for their "Best of Saturday Night Live" VHS releases. Someday when I figure out how to connect the deck to my computer, I'll try to provide a master quality capture of this logo.
It was also at the beginning and the end of Pinocchio and the Emperor of the Light, and later releases of Grimm's Fairy Tale Classics (under the title as Grimm's Fairy Tale Video Storybook, and Grimm's Fairy Tales) VHSs.
I always loved this sequence. It's at the beginning and the end of my VHS copies of "The Land of Faraway" and "Black Moon Rising". Unfortunately, these were the only Starmaker VHS Tapes I've ever had. :( It's too bad that Anchor Bay doesn't include the original Video Treasures and Starmaker logos following its logo on films that used to feature them. They were such wonderful segues into films, especially those of the fantasy variety. Logos today are not nearly so imaginative or detailed. Even TriStar went from it's most fascinating logo of the "Pegasus" flying out of midnight and over the logo with first a less interesting logo, and then finally static images when it combined with Columbia. It seems to me that more thought was put into such things in the 80s, but such thought became less and less over time, resulting in some rather bland imagery these days.
I remember seeing this on their release of 50 Of The Greatest Cartoons, as well as some of their SNL tapes. I personally found this logo to be kinda creepy, especially the music.
Ah, yes. I know this production logo well. I remember it from The Mr. Bill Christmas Special tape I would watch over and over. It didn't even have to be Christmas. My parents would legitimately hide the tape but I'd find it pretty quickly.
I love this logo, it was on a lot of tapes I had as a kid...but why isn't this in those compilations of "scary" video logos? It's kind of unsettling and that synth music is pretty ominous.
I'm with you... it scared me as well. I had it on a wonder years vhs I think... but I remember it on a horror movie with a preview for creepshow, day of the dead, and a bunch of others. Scarier than the actual movies when I was a little kid.
This logo sequence scared the crap out of me as a kid.
I know it is scary tho.
Same. Probably because it was paired with the fact that it would often pop up on horror movies we'd rented.
Same
With logo is more scarier?
Thx logo in Disney vhs tapes or dvds?
The StarMaker logo
The Klasky Csupo logo 1998?
@@4899-m6vKlasky but with this sound lol
I remember always seeing this on their release of 50 of the Greatest Cartoons.
Good times.
Goodtimes was another of the distributors!
It was at the beginning and the end of "Godzilla vs. MechaGodzilla on my VHS tape.
I had it too. My parents got it for me on my 10th birthday. Wish I still had it. But gonna be getting all my favorite Godzilla movies on Blu Ray soon but I already know this logo won't be available.
This StarMaker logo (which I seem to remember liking) was on a VHS of Rankin Bass's 1970s cartoon; "Swiss Family Robinson".

This STARMAKER Logo Used From Double Future VHS Of GODZILLA Movies Are GODZILLA vs. GIGAN And GODZILLA vs. MECHAGODZILLA.

This logo was on my VHS copy of "The Best of Saturday Night Live: Toonces and Friends."
I had this on a copy of SNL commercials
I chanted Godzilla's name to the music in my head.
Justathereptile me too
Man I wish they still had this logo, heck I think that "Mr. Bill's 20th Aniversary Special" on VHS, has this at the end.
I think I finally found it. As a child, I used to constantly hum this melody that I believe is this one. I loved the sound of the opening theme and is probably why still to this day I like dark ominous synths. Man, that was a nice lil visceral nostalgic moment, lol.

I remember seeing this on the VHS of "The Land Of Faraway" (or Mio in the Land of Faraway / Mio min Mio, 1987).
Who else thinks this logo sounds a bit creepy?
Creepiest intro logo ever. Terrified me as a kid
Not creepy to me. I loved this as a kid.
Coolest video intro ever!
This is at the beginning of my Three Mousketeers VHS, which i've had for 21+ years. Still in great working condition too :)
I just saw this on my VHS copy of Dead Heat (1988).
i remember when i was a kid i used to hide under the covers when this music came on. it was very unsettling
I don't find this creepy at all! The music is badass!
I remember seeing this on their release of 50 Of The Greatest Cartoons, as well as some of their SNL tapes. I personally found this logo to be kinda creepy, especially the music.
This is on my vhs copy of “All in a Night’s Work”
Legend of Sleepy Hollow 1980 VHS

Me too bro
I remember this being on Creepshow 2 and some animated mermaid film, which I forgot what it’s called.
StarMaker released the Japanese animated version of The Little Mermaid from 1975. (The English dubbed version, that is.)
I'm with you... it scared me as well. I had it on a wonder years vhs I think... but I remember it on a horror movie with a preview for creepshow, day of the dead, and a bunch of others. Scarier than the actual movies when I was a little kid.
I remember it seeing it on Creepshow 2 as well back in 1998.
100 of the Greatest Cartoons
Pinocchio and the Emperor of the night played this.
50 of the Greatest Cartoons.
I used to have these on SNL tapes and "Warriors of the Wind".
Still sounds a little creepy to me.
It almost sounds like music from the old Doom video games, specifically Suspense from E1M5 of the original Doom.
The only VHS title I have with StarMaker is Thumbelina: A Magical Story, which was my very first Anime.
I have a VHS of Prom Night with this logo in there.
The only thing missing from the International Space Station is this song playing there on loud speakers…
Godzilla 1985
very creepy music this logo has got!
Yeah.
hey KIDS are you ready for 2 hours or royalty free cartoons cause I sure am
Even Godzilla vs. Mecha-Godzilla.
