Hi Ben great quiz if a bit tiring. I got 141/150. There was a nice selection of history and geography questions luckily my strongest subjects. I didn't do so well on music questions which are by far my weakest subject.
The first person to record sound successfully was Edouard Léon Scott de Martinville in the 1850s, but you’re right on Edison being the first to playback sound
The highest note in the orchestra may very well be on the violin, and not the piccolo- using flageolet technique a virtuoso player can reach dog frequency pitches.

Wasn't the Kraken in Greek mythology too? "In Greek Mythology, the Kraken is a sea monster that is known for its enormous size and formidable strength. It is said to have been born from the union of two sea titans, Oceanus and Ceto. The creature is often depicted as having tentacles that are capable of pulling entire ships underwater and causing destruction on a massive scale."
