This video is a different Minecraft challenge concept that we have never done before!
In this challenge, BadBoyHalo is a hostage and we have to try and take him to the end portal. There are two teams, I am on one, and GeorgeNotFound & Sapnap are the other. BadBoyHalo can try and escape, but he can't break the rope that he's attached to.
It's a race, and it's super intense and we had a lot of laughs. I love doing these challenges.
Not Minecraft, But Water Rises or Minecraft, But Lava Rises, or any other but challenge like that. This is a speed run / speed runner of Minecraft against a killer / assassin

I'm actually really impressed by Bad's ability to not only troll his captor(s) by stealing items and getting himself stuck, but also killing them through loopholes in fhe game mechanics. Burning the fence post, swimming deep underwater, using beds in the nether, and I'm not even halfway through as of writing this.

Fantastic video idea! To optimize the concept, I think there should be a time limit to reaching the end. If neither group can reach the end before the time limit, the hostage wins; this gives the hostage an objective and incentive to mess with the captors.

Idk if that would optimize it since it seems like the base concept already has that. A charity feature would be cool though, where the hostage technically helps donate to a charity by being a little shit

That was actually pretty interesting to watch. At first, I thought it would've been just idly transporting a player from one place to another while fighting over them... But then Bad completely changed that once they got to the Nether. I like the chaotic element of the hostage still being able to use blocks, craft things, and steal items. Leads to funny things like being bedded in the Nether or hostage escaping using flint and steel to burn fence posts.
Edit: I think a cool nerf for the hostage to make them a little more bearable would potentially be limiting their ability to sprint. If a hostage can just get enough beds and end up in the Nether, they could stall forever. So if hostage had sprinting with a forced cooldown, they could be easier to deal with.

@ThatHolyGamer Nahhh I'm a fan of Dream too but let's be real with ourselves here. Objectively Dream has just been lazy to upload anything for the last like 2 years. In 2019 and early 2020 he would upload weekly, occasionally even more than once in a week, and there have been many times where he's said he'll upload or do something at a certain time and then he just ends up not doing it. For example how he recently said "the lack of content will come to an end in December" and making it sound like there'd be tons of Minecraft content, only for his next upload to be a non-minecraft video posted midway through January. Realistically if time is utilized efficiently it really doesn't take nearly as long as you think it does. Have a feeling you guys won't believe me or think I'm wrong for whatever reason so let me break this video down and put some things into perspective:
Prob takes 30m-1h max to brainstorm, come up with this idea, and agree on it, same time with coding it since they don't gotta code much with something like this, they almost certainly don't do multiple takes, film for 2-5h max, would prob take around 3-4h to edit, uploading can't take more than the video length so it has to be less than 39m and since it's Dream he probably has a really good internet and therefore upload speed so let's say 10m max to upload.
All that takes 6 hours minimum up to 11 hours maximum. Can be done in under a day easily if you're committed, which Dream clearly isn't lol. No hate, again I'm a fan, just pointing this out.
