Really love this version of Ghost here because he has more screen time, more badass scene, deeper voice, lone wolf type, and most of all him actually not die.
I do like how they changed Ghost physically, I mean the original was a badass but he looked like a normal soldier, just with some cool headgear on. Modern Ghost looks like he's given he's made the 141 his life- he's jacked, he only moves when he needs to, he only speaks when he needs to and his kit is that of a trained killer. They've reimagined him as the phrase "living weapon" and I dig it.
hearing his old VA talk about his character is so interesting too. he treated Ghost like two people; Ghost and Simon. he envisioned the character as semi-broken, saying that a trained killer wearing a skull is akin to "a dead man walking" overall a pretty cool character, the new game does him justice
Not sure if this is a slight retcon to that cutscene from the end of MW's lifecycle Price radios to soap before they jump off the dam, unless that's a warzone specific cutscene Price was with Alex, Farah, Gaz, and Ghost. Meaning it wasn't his first encounter with Soap. Maybe they forgot or wanted to go in a different direction

Didn't notice how massive/tall Ghost is compared to everyone else was until one of the Shadows commented on it in the "Alone" mission and re-watching the cutscenes. Soap looks so short standing next to him
This version of Ghost feels like a well balanced, fully realized person. He’s a badass, a lone wolf, he’s a ruthless solder, but he deeply cares for his teammates, and he has a goofy sense of humor. He’s by far my favorite character in the series.
The best lines in the game about Ghost Shadow 3-1 so, you tellin' me you see that big boy with the skullface and you're not gonna start sweatin? Shadow 3-2 I'm not gonna see him. Shadow 3-1 you're right, you won't see him, it's too late if you see him, you're fuckin dead already.
While I'm still shaking my head a bit at how Jeff got sacked, I do have to be honest here. I actually prefer this voice actor for Ghost, it's really the perfect middle ground between the OG's smooth voice and Jeff's hyper aggressive one. Love it.
In the mission Alone you can hear Graves troops talking about running into soap and ghost they talk as if there terrified and how ghost is an absolute beast of a man. Ghost is definitely an all time favorite for me
2:37 I really love this scene because it displays the complexity of a soldier living a balanced life between being efficient destructive force and a sympathetic human being. In particular, this shot during the raid of Las Almas. Ghost just dispatched two tangos without hesitation. But, when Soap’s life was in danger, Ghost jeopardized his own safety by yelling some sense into Soap; leaving him open to be attacked by Shadow Company.
The best part about the betrayal cutscene is the hesitation in pushing ghosts last known position by graves. He even copes with the fear by making noise and trying to talk shit.
It’s wild to grow up with the original mw2 then grow older puzzling things out and knowing how the betrayal goes down with the new mw, can’t remember exactly but the stealth mission with Soap and ghost ghost asks you who you think will betray first it had 4 answers clearly I answered shepherd, definitely brought back memories
How y’all gonna skip the part where graves warns him of the explosion impact and he’s like fuck it send it😂 that was the best part of the first mission
I think someone said this somewhere but the fact that Graves didn't kill them right away is kinda... odd, right? Like he knew full well how dangerous Ghost or Soap or Alejandro were, and he, for the most part, seemed hesitant to kill them. And if you think about it, he's following orders. Those were not good orders, but they were orders, and from a military man standpoint, I think he wasn't that much of a wrong doer
