Sustainable Rehabilitation: Cold Recycling with Vögele SUPER 2100-5i Paver

An agricultural road on the coast behind the dyke of the Dutch village of Ferwert was in need of quick, economical and low-emissions rehabilitation. The contracting company therefore opted for the cold in-situ recycling method, in which the reclaimed material is recycled and then placed again directly on site. A well-coordinated train of Wirtgen Group machines was put to the task, including the W 240 CRi cold recycler from Wirtgen and the new SUPER 2100-5i Highway Class tracked paver from Vögele. This combination as well as the chosen method significantly contributed to the sustainable rehabilitation of the dyke and the overall success of the project.
