    "I would have loved to have been a world famous painter". It all seems like a joke to Farage and Boris, it doesn't seem like they're actually taking this seriously at all, which is more worrying than the actual vote. If you don't want this, Boris, go buy some paint and some brushes. Let someone with conviction take your place.

      They knew exactly what to do, right? Maybe they were more relaxed because they knew that as soon as the referendum happened they would both let someone else deal with the fallout? Good one.

      +Myna Detail that is a stupid thing to say seeing as being a member was one of the things that was funding the NHS and also preventing the conservative effort to "Starve the Beast" from being successful. Now we get the watch them cut her up and privatise the pieces to our loss because people like you are unable to think past your own self-affirming bullshit.

    • @Gus-tw7zw
      @Gus-tw7zw 8 лет назад +1

      Myna Detail Doomed how? People on your side of the fence seem to like parroting that without adequately relaying on how everything else creditable I've read point at the fact the NHS has not been negatively effected by EU influenced but instead by our own parties purposeful actions. So again, how?
      Also I want to say I appreciate the light and friendly response. It is nice even if I disagree with what you said.

    • @Gus-tw7zw
      @Gus-tw7zw 8 лет назад +1

      Myna Detail Do you have links to these papers that show that Commission intends to go against it's stated potion and enact the clauses that would make privatising the NHS and health serviced mandatory for member states. when I've had this discussion with others they have given me no credible source material I could read that confirmed this idea, I am honestly asking for links here so that I can read it for myself and not just rely on agenda-ed "he said she said" from initial period negotiation.
      Anyway, Let me see if I have got your logic correct. You would rather take the onus from the EU, the party who has stated that they are going to put in measures to protect public health serves and prior to TTIP being put on the table have a track record of supporting such intuitions. And then give it to the holy to the government that has for the past decade been using underhanded methods such as "Starve the beast" to cut up and privatise swaths of our health service, who have been for considerably longer calling for it's demolition, who have been calling for TTIP just as hard as the European Commission but without as many assurances and an abysmal track record in reality?
      Excuse me, but i'd rather protect the institute i love using realistic method rather than wrap up in nice sounding sentiment. That is how we got here. We had a much greater chance of protecting the NHS within the EU. Now that we are out of it we will have to follow the trade regulations of our greatest partner, the EU without having the special say we have enjoyed all these years. Never mind the fact the America, the group that has been pushing this the strongest will now negotiate with us while we are in an unprecedented position of weakness. Even if the government that comes after the conservatives states they don't want to privatise the NHS it is becoming more and more of a reality that they may need to offer that on the table if they are going to get anything close to a useful trade relationship.
      I don't think people grasp the massive amounts of negative repercussions this move may have in reality. They are too busy saying things that sound nice to them.

    • @Gus-tw7zw
      @Gus-tw7zw 8 лет назад

      Myna Detail Thanks for link I'll read into it.
      Also do you not see the irony of you says I am pessimistic and then suggesting that government organisations always lie. Then suggesting I have my head in sand while suggesting it would be better for our Government to have total control over the NHS while wanting it to "protect" it from privatisation.

    Teebs: "If Boris Johnson looked downbeat yesterday, that is because he realises that he has lost.
    Perhaps many Brexiters do not realise it yet, but they have actually lost, and it is all down to one man: David Cameron.
    With one fell swoop yesterday at 9:15 am, Cameron effectively annulled the referendum result, and simultaneously destroyed the political careers of Boris Johnson, Michael Gove and leading Brexiters who cost him so much anguish, not to mention his premiership.
    How?
    Throughout the campaign, Cameron had repeatedly said that a vote for leave would lead to triggering Article 50 straight away. Whether implicitly or explicitly, the image was clear: he would be giving that notice under Article 50 the morning after a vote to leave. Whether that was scaremongering or not is a bit moot now but, in the midst of the sentimental nautical references of his speech yesterday, he quietly abandoned that position and handed the responsibility over to his successor.
    And as the day wore on, the enormity of that step started to sink in: the markets, Sterling, Scotland, the Irish border, the Gibraltar border, the frontier at Calais, the need to continue compliance with all EU regulations for a free market, re-issuing passports, Brits abroad, EU citizens in Britain, the mountain of legistlation to be torn up and rewritten ... the list grew and grew.
    The referendum result is not binding. It is advisory. Parliament is not bound to commit itself in that same direction.
    The Conservative party election that Cameron triggered will now have one question looming over it: will you, if elected as party leader, trigger the notice under Article 50?
    Who will want to have the responsibility of all those ramifications and consequences on his/her head and shoulders?
    Boris Johnson knew this yesterday, when he emerged subdued from his home and was even more subdued at the press conference. He has been out-maneouvered and check-mated.
    If he runs for leadership of the party, and then fails to follow through on triggering Article 50, then he is finished. If he does not run and effectively abandons the field, then he is finished. If he runs, wins and pulls the UK out of the EU, then it will all be over - Scotland will break away, there will be upheaval in Ireland, a recession ... broken trade agreements. Then he is also finished. Boris Johnson knows all of this. When he acts like the dumb blond it is just that: an act.
    The Brexit leaders now have a result that they cannot use. For them, leadership of the Tory party has become a poison chalice.
    When Boris Johnson said there was no need to trigger Article 50 straight away, what he really meant to say was "never". When Michael Gove went on and on about "informal negotiations" ... why? why not the formal ones straight away? ... he also meant not triggering the formal departure. They both know what a formal demarche would mean: an irreversible step that neither of them is prepared to take.
    All that remains is for someone to have the guts to stand up and say that Brexit is unachievable in reality without an enormous amount of pain and destruction, that cannot be borne. And David Cameron has put the onus of making that statement on the heads of the people who led the Brexit campaign."

    At the end of the day this issue has been a long time coming, even if Boris and Gove backed remain the outcome would still have been the same. What you fail to understand the arguments for staying didn't outweigh the leaving so naturally was payback for how the European Union treated Britain over the years. However if David Cameron had got the issues of free movement, a reduction to the bill and actual real reform the outcome would have been different. The British people gave the EU one last chance to see if they would reform and they didn't. No matter how much remain propaganda was put for remain. The British people aren't stupid.

      I agree, but what was more horrible was the vile and derogatory comments coming from the liberal brain washed youth of Britain, calling 17.4 million people idiots and racists because they can't have the common sense to look up what the EU is actually about, how it operates, and if it is even democratic. Which for the most part I think the leave side understood very well that it is not, so many spoiled brats it actually puts me off going to the Uk and interacting with 'my generation' .

      When you say "how the European Union treated Britain over the years" - you mean, giving us a better deal than any other member nation was allowed, constantly making special exceptions just for us, and putting up with it every time we tried to drag down working conditions for everyone?
      Yeah, I'm sure they'll be just begging to have that crap back.
      No, wait... they're all telling us to hurry up and leave, then.
      Now we're going to have lose all our special bonuses, while staying in the EEC (since leaving it will destroy our entire economy beyond recovery) - so we'll still have to pay all the costs.
      Short form: we're about to pay all those costs you hate, and get none of the benefits. OR lose more than half our entire trade balance, and go hide in our caves, too poor to even have an economy any more.
      Yes, the English people are deeply stupid. (Not British. You don't get to blame the Irish and Scots for something that only the English regions were angry and stupid enough to vote for.)

However, only certain segments of the society were insured at that time, such as government workers and the elderly. It was Adolf Hitler, who actually completed the process and imposed socialized healthcare on the entire German population, as a part of nazification of the healthcare industry. "

    Is it just me or have the Tory BREXIT team gone all wibbly wobbly since the vote.
    I voted remain, but now I am thinking - come on guys - kismet - let's have the big plan and get cracking.
    If you get it wrong, we will just have your political scalps - fair? That's democracy.
    Gove and Borris look shell shocked and frankly not up to it. As for IDS, he looked even more like an undertaker this morning on TV. Could someone please tell them that they have gotten what they want?
    Leadership is wanting amongst the 3 musketeers it seems, just when it's most needed.

    I think its time to shut the BBC News down because its no longer serious about the news and finds it difficult to avoid bias. Interestingly there are rumours that this has been considered. Good, when it happens please shut the rest of it down as well and let me save some licence money. Lots of other good news providers out there.

    so we made a good choice to leave EU. now this money will stay here which we can use to develop our great nation UK. we should now start making things in our own country and compete with the rest of the world. God bless Britannia 🇬🇧

    we should have someone who knows nothing about economics and the EU to become prime minister. I really don't see much difference between this and allowing universal suffrage on an issue that the vast majority of people, by a long long way, know absolutely nothing about. This has been a very dangerous and politically correct decision to allow universal suffrage
