Exploring Tokyo - Tokyo's Best soba noodles - Kanda Matsuya Soba opened 1884!!

This is the famous Soba restaurant that Tom Hanks LOVED during his Tokyo visit.
Opened in 1884, Kanda Matsuya offers a glimpse at an unchanged Tokyo as well as the best handmade soba noodles in a relaxed atmosphere. This was my favourite place to recommend to my hotels guests as a 5 star Concierge.
It's a place I visit about once every month or two and nearly each time I end up choosing the handout soba with a cold sesame dipping sauce, and some large prawn tempura, washed down with a cold beer.
If you want to take in the atmosphere of the true Japan, Kanda Matsuya soba restaurant is that microcosm, unchanged from yesteryear.
