- NSE has been in talks with the stock market regulator, SEBI around extending timelines of stock market operations. The exchange wants the timing to be up will 6 pm in the first phase and then till 11:30 pm.
The official reasoning behind this is to minimize the impact of the global markets, the next day Indian stock market opens up.

This is very serious matter,it will definitely going to destroy retail traders but also they will suffer from their health issues
♦ I am basically an Option Seller and I do other business too. For me extended hours will be a punishment.♦ Finally the number of Weeks will remain the same, but still I have to give more time to the market leaving or neglecting all my other works. In my opinion, if NSE has to extend hours just for the sake of increasing their own revenue, then much better will be Morning 8 to Evening 5 or 6 at a stretch. Or much better will be if market remain open on Saturdays.

1) 50:50 win loss traders may get wiped out early in this market.
2) In the past in one of the newspaper, i read about neutral strategies and how big market players are fed up with them. To wipe out those traders which are mostly new, market have to make big moves. In short being volatile.
If time gets extended these new players will find it more difficult to adjust.Big players will get sufficient time to wipe them out.

Time बढ़ने से सिर्फ retail traders बर्बाद होंगे , NSE को फायदा होगा, ब्रोकर को फायदा होगा, और FII , DII को फायदा होगा ।
सीधा सा जवाब है, 95% लॉस मेकर से ब्रोकरेज, टैक्स पाने वाले का फायदा होगा। यदि किसी कामकाजी विभागीय कर्मचारी का लॉस हो गया तो उसकी वसूली वह रिस्वत के रूप मे आम नागरिक से वसूल करेगा। किसी न किसी प्रकार से उसकी भ्रष्टाचार से पकड़ मजबूत होगी। भ्रष्टाचार और बढ़ेगा।

The market will stabilize after a few months. Existing traders will adjust their trading time windows, and new traders will enter the market. There's likely to be more sideways trading sessions as the volume splits, but it should hopefully stabilize in a few months.

As a intraday trader i see no issue, even in this market i trade only 9:30 to 11 am. and then close the windowl. Yes setups will be impacted, and requires revisit for sure... As option seller i will avoid spike market with low volume

Present market working practices are perfect. It will be headache if time of trading increased.
1. You can not work productively more than 8 hour.
2. If new customer is only priority then institution make only profit.
3. Market is based on quality of stakeholder not a quantity of time.

This time i dont agree Mr.prafull kulkarni point of view , Option sellers already stress with Vix, premium, mkt volatility, capital , margin issue, Sl trigger not hit @sensex, midcap, finnifty, major part health & stress....pls check commodity mkt volume(9 to 11.30pm) , commodity premium ,bid and ask difference much higher because of liquidity issue (huge difference in spread). who makes money without liquidity in mkt?

It's not about the time, it's about discipline. Trade for a few minutes window, close your profits, and enjoy the rest of the day.
It is better to keep the market open 24*7. Anybody should be able to trade anytime as per their convenience. This will reduce gap ups and gap downs and also reduce price anomalies.

This Govt. will go to any length to implement policy in favour of corporate lobby. It is also a indication that Corporate lobby turnover has reduced over a period of time, that's why NSE is adamant to introduce so many policy without a single feedback from retail traders....RIP Retail traders 😢😢

I work in a BROKING firm and subah 8 se leke raat 8-9 baj jate h kaam karte karte pagal ho chuke hai, aur kitna kaam kare.

I personally think, it will be good for investors. Market has already many rules in favour of traders. Ex -Trader are getting extra time compare to normal person for entry and exit in market and by doing this market will able to attract salary class employees as investors in market.
