Nobody would believe me when I say I went to the same school and was even in the same class in high school with Malik but it’s true. Remember them days when we used to drum with pens on lunch room tables and books lol I’m happy he took it to the greater heights.
He drummed on everything from buckets to cowbells. He was already amazing and didn't seem that he could just keep getting better. Yet there he was playing with fire.
As of everything or any musician drummers I've ever seen, Malik is the best of all I've seen no doubt. I'm sure the judges had something to say about the drumstick missing the can but that was nothing..PERFECTION!! Even brought a hoverboard and Billie Eilish.
He needs to make it through, although the Spyros Bros were good, he was able to step it and he would be the perfect Vegas act and variety act for the variety

Tonight, to me, this was so wrong. My opinion..., I feel that Malik Dope is 100% a better contestant. Much more effort and skills go into his performance. Don't get me wrong, Archie Williams is a fantastic performer as well and if Heidi had chosen him for his skills as a performer, that would have been great but she didn't. She voted for him because he had been incarcerated. That was unfair to anyone that went up against him. I think Maklik should have another shot at it. Maybe his story is sadder than some other person. Very unfair.
I'm so disappointed he is gone.. not to sound insensitive to Archie I adore him...... but I thought this was a competition about talent not a pity contest. But no worries Malik will be famous regardless!!
Integrate some of the top drummers of the 20th century into your act and you GOT this (Keith Moon, Phil Collins, Buddy Rich, Alex Van Halen). You rock, man!
He's making a name for himself... Why play other drummers stuff, especially ones a lot of people aren't going to know. Like you may think I'm joking but most people can't name the drummers in famous bands. I don't think he wants to be compared to other drummers which is probably why he chose songs without a "named drummer" or artists without a band. I mean you start playing Rush and people are gonna compare you to Neil Peart 😅 Also the appeal to younger generations that are going to recognize the songs.
Drummers i feel like are the show but i also prefer membranophone over chordophones. Drums can be very loud on their own and create the beat you vibe to.
The whole Covid thing and all the weird empty auditorium and then TV screen audience really turned me off from watching any of this. Nobody really caught my attention this year at the beginning. Always was a fan, but this was just all to weird this year.
It's complete bullshit that Malik didn't get to the finals. Archie seems like a great person, but he is an average singer, and his semifinals performance was a total trainwreck. These ridiculous sympathy votes need to stop. They are depriving the true talent like Malik, who also had a sad story but didn't let it define him.

I got to see him perform with cirque du doleil last night for their Christmas show! The entire show was incredible and fun but his beats were amazing!
