I will never comprehend how humans can "buy" an animal any animal then treat it like trash, but then on the other hand there are many awesome real people out there willing to step in and teach those babies what life is all about...... thank the heavens for those angels!!!
Yeah! And I know it really doesn't matter, but these birds are expensive! I wanted to buy a Rustheaded Caique, and they cost somewhere between 3500-5000$ where I live, and a Cockatoo can cost maybe up to 8 grand. And that's just for the bird. So I wonder how you can pay that amount of money to just mistreat the animal. It feels like such a waste.
Doobie may not be able to fly. But thanks to Mom and her blow dryer, he can still enjoy the feeling of WIND beneath his wings. And that makes him want to sing and dance!
It's heartbreaking to think of him being kept in a cage for 28 years. It's shocking how cruel people can be. I'm so glad he's found his forever home and is in such a happy place now. 😊❤
Unfortunately a lot of abuse of parrots is born entirely out of ignorance. People think parrots will be easy pets, simple pets, dumb pets, etc. basically cute ornaments that do tricks. parrot sellers and breeders don't make any effort to disabuse of this notion, because of people truly understood that adopting a parrot is adopting a forever child, most just wouldn't. The sellers would lose money if they educated buyers before any sale.
Nothing says *I love you* like stepping up and saving a life. It's unfortunate that these two lovlies were abused but bless the souls who who saved them and are helping them to live their best lives now. Bless all the souls who make a difference daily to others... be they furred, winged, scaly, shelled or even human. Life is just better when we are kind to each other.
Doobie and Goo are like Bon And Jovi!! 2 Metal Birds that ROCK To The Same BEAT!! They Are A Swinging Sight!! Thank You for sharing their WILD STORY!! With Us!!❤😊!!
I just started binging on cockatoo videos (I don’t think I’ve ever seen on in real life) and I just find them so funny and smart!! I’m a dog person (Pitties❤️) Penny, Buster, Griffi (RIP), Benjamin, Chris, sweet pea… all different personalities but crazy adorable!!
Doobie and Goo are so sweet and beautiful and bless your hearts for rescuing and adopting them 🦜😻❤️❤️! I always think it is so sad when a bird can't fly such as Doobie but he clearly doesn't let that get him down. I will never understand why some "people" get birds just to cruelly abuse and cage them up all the time 😿💔😾😡??!!
Poor Doobie is somewhat overweight too. But what a beautiful bird. Bless. Pretty sure Goo is an Australian Little Corella. They have so much attitude! ❤
The majority of animal rescuers...are women. Here are another two, who rescued fellow creatures that were treated terrible by ...fellow creatures. All types of parrots are extremely social and really NEED to have constant interaction and activity. Thank goodness for these women.
LOVE them both 🥹 They're both beautiful little Angels 😍🥰❤️ I'll forever be grateful to you for giving them better lives! As a feather mum myself, I've always hated the word "cage" - I treat it like his room, a place where my boy can feel safe & comfortable to just hang out, play, eat or sleep - & the door is always open, unless I'm out. It's not supposed to be a punishment.
Goo, is what’s called a cockatiel they are the cousin to the cockatoos. I have both coming into my garden morning and night for their bird seed but mostly for the extra sunflower seeds I give them. Cockatiels are not as noisy as cockatoos they are naturally shyer, where as the cockatoos well they yell hello at me until I give in and take them more sunflower seeds along with the wild bird mix 😹😹😹 The cockatoos are in the feeder where as the cockatiels are on the ground going for the feed that I put there for them 😹😹
That bird in the video on the phone is Giffy. She was also a rescued bird who was brimming with personality. She would normally only let the man of the house handle her. They discovered she could dance and she was off to stardom. I watched her for at least a couple years. I have a Goffin’s Cockatoo that is 30 years old (and recently laid three eggs!), so I watched her regularly. Then one day, the woman that posted the Giffy videos came on and it was obvious something was wrong. Giffy had died after having a stroke. I cried so hard over a bird I only knew from RUclips videos. I think you can still see her videos. The second bird in this story is also a Goffin’s. I have had Momo, my Goffin since 1997. I am her third owner and she was only around 4-5 years old at the time. This was long enough ago, that she was a wild caught bird and probably one of the last wild caught parrots to be quarantined at the airport where she arrived. I hope these birds have years of happiness ahead.
I have a niece with a caged cockatiel and while visiting never saw anyone interact with the bird .She lives in a different country and I do not have the sort of relationship which permits me to broach the subject of this prisoners liberation.Family tensions make this an extremely difficult situation . I reproach myself constantly but there is so much at stake here.
Could you maybe persuade a third party to talk about it? Or send her a video? Benjamin the cockatoo was rescued from a caged situation, and there's a bit about it in the text below the video, plus he's really engaging-- and she spends a lot of time engaging him. Maybe there is some way you can get the message across that neither of us have thought of-- keep asking!
Parrots should never have been made pets to begin with. They're too long lived and too intelligent and just as demanding as a child, but a child that will probably outlive you. It's awful the way people treat them because they just have no idea. Thank god for the people who are willing to rescue and take on the work of caring for captive parrots the way they need to be, but breeding in captivity just needs to stop. It's so unfair to the parrots who aren't rescued or adopted into good homes. Most people just aren't equipped for that kind of work to give a parrot all the love and care and time they need.
I suppose this is the way of not having to see your pets die before you, thus they live so much. But I'm not sure why you send it yo me.I m a CAT EXPERT...
I will never comprehend how humans can "buy" an animal any animal then treat it like trash, but then on the other hand there are many awesome real people out there willing to step in and teach those babies what life is all about...... thank the heavens for those angels!!!
What a precious little one.😊

It feels like such a waste.
Same thing with people that shouldn't be parents but do so cause everyone else does it
Me neither. Very true.
@@seiken04 its terrible regardless of how much the animal costs. No animal deserves to live in a cage 24/7.
Doobie may not be able to fly. But thanks to Mom and her blow dryer, he can still enjoy the feeling of WIND beneath his wings. And that makes him want to sing and dance!
yes so awesome & very sweet ❤❤
probably why he likes it so much, just turn it on and let him play pretend!
It's heartbreaking to think of him being kept in a cage for 28 years. It's shocking how cruel people can be.
I'm so glad he's found his forever home and is in such a happy place now. 😊❤
OMG who can abuse such sweet innocent parrots 😭

How anyone could abuse any sweet and innocent animal/s is beyond me.
Glad they’re free from those horrible conditions

I've gotten hooked on cockatoo videos too, I follow many of the same ones you do, and I agree-- all different, but crazy adorable!
Amen...thank heavens for those who show love and compassion for Gods creations. It never ceases to amaze me how intellegent animals are.👍😍

Goo looks to be a Tanimbar Corella, aka Goffins Cockatoo. And yes they do have so much attitude. We have a female and she rules the house.

He might get the ability to fly one of these days now that he can move around and get exercise.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤💋👌🏽
TEACH him to fly...i guarantee he will to some degree fly
28 years????? Dear God , an animal that flies miles and miles every day in the wild reduced to a bloody ornament…. What’s wrong with people ??? 🤬🤬🤬
How do you abuse a little bird? Why have one if youre just going to mistreat them? They thought having a cockatoo would look cool?
