Nights can be cold in gambia in january...daytime 30 degrees and at night it can be 10 degrees..lots of wind and houses are not isolated at all so wind is blowing sand evrywhere. Most people sleep on the floor without blankets so yes then its cold!!
And australia is that big that there are different climates..so yes australia can be tropical too..like sally already said!
