Jimmy Eat World has a unique sound that I'm constantly craving. I recently dived into Integrity Blues and I'm glad I did. They've done so much for my mental health and self esteem. Yes even my self esteem, being able to listen to them omw to and at work makes everyday just that much better. From old to new songs there's not a single bad one that I've heard. Honestly they could play anything at a concert and I'd be the happiest person in the world.
When I fell in love for the first time at age 21, she was 18, 1 year later she didn't want to be with me anymore. I was depressed AF, Remember listening to Jimmy Eat World and it truly got me through the heartbreak. I owe this band a lot. Now 15 years later, i still listen to them when my mind is in a dark place.
True, outdoor acoustics are terrible but this is nothing short of an absolute abortion. It's like some work experience kid has just been thrown behind the desk for his first time and his just beating his dick off over the desk. Lucky it wasn't 90's Axl Rose on stage, probably launched into the crowd with a beer bottle, broken it on the way to the desk, slashed the fucks throat, gone back on stage, thrown the mic down with that style all of his own and fucked off home. And who coulda blamed him?!
Callum Welch is right but also it was a festival so they probably didn't have that long to check the sound for an early band like them, they probably tried to check the main headliners the most instead of every other band.
To be fair to Orbitable, they were mixing for BOTH the live crowd AND the audience this was being streamed to. I have no doubt they were running parallel mixes. It got ironed out pretty good after a rough start.
Why? It was a happy day for me because they can get consistent tone from show to show. They can better replicate the sounds from the records with less compromises. They need less roadie work moving gear and maintaining. It sounds better out front because stage volume is almost non existent. What do you want? a bunch of fake cabinets like bVb or Kiss?
@@jaclob_ They use digital rack system, is like a digital pedal that store all de effects and send them directly to the console, no need to use amps anymore.
I'm always a little frustrated with their setlists. They love playing Theory & Casino early, leaving their better tracks buried mid set or off the list entirely. Just wish they would mix it up more often
Right!!!?? It's kinda mindblowing all of them are going DI to PA through AxeFX. Sounds amazing all around. I hate that I'm digging amp modelers, but they're freaking on point.
This bad sound may be a result of them switching over to AXE effects recently. Notice, they have no amps on stage. Their guitars sound really cold. The vocal mix...yeah, that's on a crappy sound guy.
that's because their touring live sound engineer is not the guy that does the lolapalooza web mix. different guy, random guy. guy mixes 50 bands a day and doesn't give a fuck. Jimmy's FOH engineer is only there for Jimmy.
25 years of solid rock and roll. Jimmy Eat World is so underrated
Lead singer looks like Steve Carroll
agreed
@@beck3740 I usually get annoyed when people say "this or that underrated" , however, in this instance you are so correct!!!
"Sweetness" is one of the songs of my youth!
This song always makes my heart sing!
The recent arrangement is very cool too!

Great performance of Hear You Me!!
What’s up kids and drunks?! 😆🤣
I love how Americans - no matter what part of the country they’re from - say “y’all” when they’re abroad 😂🤣
One benefit of a bad mix: I could hear the keyboard player really well!
Jimmy come here ... PERU!!

Ha I just scrolled into the video some and landed and my fav song! “My best theory”
Ok I’m on one song and they deserve a better cowrd, I’ll get into it when I see them this summer
They’ve still got it
@30:18 😂😂 “EYE‼️”
LOVE them!!!
Rigs of Dad is one of the greatest accounts. Was stoked to see the drummer rocking their merch.
great stuff, we do several of these tracks in my band...always a blast!!
I love that they did basically half of futures 🥺
Was hoping for more of Static and Clarity....oh those were the days.
There was just no way that there was gonna be ANY emphasis on Static.
Man, eu amoooo Jimmy Eat Worl, como gostaria de ter ido no show deles....
Awesome! Sound really good, my childhoood!!!
Mesa AZ my home town
Holy Shit!! A Jimmy Eat World Live concert that is above 240p in quality! :) :)
best band ever
jim looks like a who from whoville mixed with steve carrell- thought id throw out my thought, but hes still so cute 😂
Isn't it incredible how you can hear world class sound guys at a local PCYC and somehow these plebs get to mix festivals on this level.

Damn, Jim really shredded that The Middle solo haha
Holy bass batman!
he's awesome
Amazing band. Whoever is in charge of sound needs to be fired though.
probably sounded good out front. remember, we mix for the crowd, not you :)
Callum Welch gotta love those armchair engineers haha they have no clue how hard we work behind the board

Yeah? I wouldn't be surprised if someone in the broadcast trailer was mixing a separate mix for the stream.
hopefully get a chance to see these guys in Toronto oneday....
very good live suprisingly.

goshh i wish id been there man...
"The Middle" seems to have gotten a carnival remix.
Lol yeah they could really do without that little addition
1:01:13 damn thats a cool sound he makes

I fucking love this band though.
FODA!
dig the Jose Ferenandez hairstyle
What's the drummer's shirt say?
This needs a old dude singing back up out of tune with a moustache
soundcheck ? but perfect perform
steve carrell
did they not play a single song from Clarity or Static Prevails? those are the only two jimmy eat world albums I've ever listened to (and love)
Dude, I agree. You also aged yourself to be approximately 34 years old...give or take a couple years.
haha, 33. awesome
You should definitely branch out to their other albums. I promise you will not be disappointed!
hear you me has got to be my favorite jimmy song, but damn did that keyboard guy kill the song this time.
Just found out this band doesn't use amps, they just run straight into the PA... such a sad, sad, day for me
No wonder that stage looks empty...jesus. At least use a wall of empty Marshall cabinets like acdc did.

Niceee
they need to add coffee and cigarettes, as well as nothing wrong to their setlist.
no Polaris?
Please switch. Back to amps
Yeah, came here after seeing their rig rundown, can't believe how bad this sounds.
BiGBird Records what do they use now?
@@jaclob_ They use digital rack system, is like a digital pedal that store all de effects and send them directly to the console, no need to use amps anymore.
Whoever was on sound failed miserably....

That crowd is shamefully slim.
Kill is my favourite song, the rest was still good though
oh. my. god. the f*cking bass sounds amazing in this.

Straight to the last song.... The Middle.
Not Ricks day
khruangbin
no Clarity?? :(
None, can you believe that nonsense? It's like going to see ZPink Floyd and they don't play anything from Dark Side...
Lot's of Emotionalism, wonder why in presents.
olvidate man rompemos todo jajajjaa
Camera work is awful, but otherwise an okay production.
girl yelling "play it better" at 39:22 can leave
I think she said play "It Matters" from Integrity Blues.
@@dpj5 That IS what she was saying David...
Whomever mixed this.. Pfft.
Stole the words right out of my mouth
Great band. Not a fan of the sound though.
This set sucks how did they not play anything off of clarity
lmao
Hahahaha the mix is fucking horrid! The dude doing sound is most definitely a guitar player hahaha
Why are certain songs always way out of key?
Soo many bass mistakes...
worst audience in the world. Known fact.
