I was considering picking this guy up, mainly for the whole trailer gimmick, but after seeing the robot mode with the horrible lack of screen accuracy, I said no. Plus, I have the Movie advanced DOTM leader prime, and that guy is a beast, so it’d be a waste of money, and I wouldn’t replace that prime with this figure. Thank you for the review!
You're most welcome. That's why I started doing this channel. To help people engage some with figures and to show what the good, bad and ugly of some may be. Mostly my reviews lean towards the positive, but this guy just wasn't great. Maybe if he were cheaper then I wouldn't have been so hard on him but really friend the trailer and weapons felt soooo cheap I really couldn't get over it. I'm glad you enjoyed the review. Yeah, the bot is pretty cool. Like i said in my review, it's a little boring but overall good. But that tab issue just kills it for me. That and the $55 price tag for cheap material.
I was alreay lukewarm on this release and most the 3ps look better anyhow. I had the SS102 prim but sold it off because I'd honestly rather have the Bawei or some other version with better weapons and better alt mode
@@theweeklytransformer By the time of this reply they are releasing a "premium finish" that pretty much fixes all the problems you have with this one. Should be on ShowZ store already.
@@robowarrior369 glad someone is fixing it. I've had to dip put of the SS bayveree line. Just too many transformers lines to collect now days..... Though the 3rd party versions of Scourge and Prime do interest me
@@theweeklytransformer I personally think Scourge needs a proper 3rd party figure (pretty sure Meta Gate or Unique Toys gonna do it eventually) there's so much you can do with the studio series mold. And It's not worth Leader-class price. Movie 1 Megatron Is a voyager just as big and transforms more than that figure,
@@robowarrior369 some of the upgrade kits for Scoruge seem to make him look good. Ima waiting for one of the 3p companies to make him with the upgrades like they have done for prime
That hole through his back when looking from the side is hideous! Besides that, a flawed voyager and a light, thin, flat-toned accessory being sold for a leader price is not very impressive.
That's the biggest issue with me. The price tag. Like if this was only voyager price I still wouldn't be happy, but not as bummed. But leader price and the thin materials, I couldn't let it go. The figure is actually pretty ok, just kind of too blue over all and unexpressive

When they rereleased it they should have fixed the front grill tab problem that’s the only thing that ruins the toy for me really unfortunate 😕
