To all those calling him buddha etc. he is still fitter than alot of the current players and capable of leading Pakistan’s middle order. In fact, the current state of Pakistan’s middle order can use his help. He should have been chosen by PCB to bat in the middle order and train our middle order batsmen and their mentality. Our middle order could have been built around him with youngsters before letting him retire in 1-2 years and then he should have been kept as a batting coach for them. This would have been much better than our current state where the middle order is worse than pathetic and there is no strategy in sight to train them. But as usual, Pakistani pride comes in the way - “jata hai to jaye, humein iski zarurat nahi”. Another opportunity lost with no better options or plans on the way.
