People say Leigh Diffey was the best commentator in Supercars but I think no body had the level of enthusiasm that Barry Sheene had. Cancer has taken too many legends away. Rest in Peace, Baz.
I was lucky enough to visit Barry at his home on the Gold Coast to see his bike collection, and his Gitane's cigerette collection! He had a mountain of Gitane's cigerettes because you couldn't buy them in Australia! And man, did he smoke them, he would light the next one from the last one, a rabid chain smoker that you never saw on TV. Stephanie his wife, and beutiful, was lovely, bring us tea and biscuits!

It's tragic to think that a little more than a year later he would have Lung Cancer, and pass away in March 03. Real Legend was Mr. Sheene.
