Addiction is a family disease. Addicts need enablers. Enablers think they're helping, but they're only prolonging the addiction. Tough love is required, and "tough" comes b4 the word "love" for a reason. Speaking from experience.
I can't be entirely critical of O'Reilly. Why does someone get out of bed one day and say, "Boy, I think I'll experiment with drugs today!" OR, why does someone decide to associate with people like that who even have access to those drugs? O'Reilly is correct in that he finds those people kind of repulsive. It's that attitude that keeps people from deciding to hang out with those people and experiment with drugs. It's the instinct most people have to shun those people and their lifestyle that keeps them from becoming drug addicts and a drain on society. They're what you might call snobs. Good for the snobs. Good for the people who prefer to stay out of trouble and be productive members of society. Good for Bill O'Reilly. 👍👏 A lot of innocent people are hurt by drugs addicts. They drag their friends and relatives down as low as they can. Many times, their friends and relatives have to walk away to save themselves. I'm sorry if that's harsh, but the people around them become their victims. You can do only so much and then you must walk away.
Not to be rude, but you have a lot to learn. Many people who are struggling with addiction don’t just choose to become addicted. My brother was severely burned when he was 10 and was pumped full of opioids pain meds for months. Let me tell you, it was a long and very painful journey through his addiction. He fought hard and was a productive member of society in many ways. So you and all the other “snobs” can turn your noses up, but try to remember, there is a human and a story behind most if not all addiction.
@@498chrisThat may be true and shame on those doctors who got your brother hooked on opioids, BUT, I think that is the exception and not the rule. I don’t think that’s the case with most drug addicts. I’m sure that most of them didn’t take up heroin or meth for the purpose of becoming addicted, but they made the choice to ingest dangerous drugs in the first place and with all of the education out there on the dangers of drugs, they should have known the risk of becoming addicted.
All about choices and your right Bill.. some don’t want to get clean and hold down a job.. have watched it time and again.. and you will never get these kind of people clean.. they have to want to..,,,,,🥴😆🥴🥴🥴🥴
Cuomo had to take a second when bill mentioned his wife. Cuomo reminds me of elements of his dad. And I’m happy he referenced that element of his spirit in this conversation.
O'Reilley had better brush up on Catholic Theology because Jesus was found with the poor, the homeless, and the sick, and the rejected. He had very little tolerance for Pharisees, Mr. O'Reilly!
Yes but Jesus would also tell them to sin no more or something worse will happen to them. O’Reilly did say that if they’re willing to change that he would be glad to help them but that many of them don’t want to change.
@@goodmanvolley But if people refuse to change and continue to lead a life of drug abuse and terrorize everybody else as a result, Jesus himself would not have much tolerance for them. As he said to one person he healed “Sin no more or something worse may happen to you.”
People in suits? O.K. But don't forget about the cartel clique in Mexico armed with automatic weapons who are shipping the poison into the U.S. And we can't ignore the Chinese Communists who are manufacturing the poison. I usually love Bill O'Reilly Books, but I am really tired of hearing him, Chris. I am trying to be respectful, so I won't get into why I just turn-off your Show when he comes on. There are so many Republican's who are not so obnoxious or MAGA.

All the Fentanyl coming in from the open boarder doesn't help , thanks Joe.
Smart Man Mr. O’Reilly
O'Reilly is spot on. As a recovered addict. With too many dead friends... throwing money at the problem is the dumbest thing to do.

I like this combo.
You gotta give a person a reason to save themselves. Compassion says they can do better and it is a choice.
Oh that’s classy, an ad for Bill.
Chris schooling Bill in Christianity and morality.
if you think Cuomo follows the teachings of Jesus Christ you’re fooling yourself
Bill is 100% correct.

Well, from what I know about the drug problem in this country. There are too many people in suits making money off of addiction to stop it.

Whatever Chris’s true politics may be, he seems to have taken on a more measured tone at NewsNation

We shouldn’t treat stray dogs like stray dogs.
How about reduced sentences, With mandatory drug rehabilitation. Yes actually having services available for people getting out of Prison.
Bill is right
