I used to have a variation of Out Of Order years ago, nice effect. I agree on Alex's thoughts about the Anniversary Waltz Tarot Monte is way overpriced for what you get.
Thank you. The price of Tarot Monte may seem high but you wouldn't believe how the costs of producing your ownTarot cards can escalate, with shipping etc.
I brought one of these about 25 years ago from L&L Publishing and I can’t remember who it said it was by now. It may have been the one you mentioned called spectacle ( I actually think it was now I think about it). Also it was back in the day I didn’t appreciate how good it was.
Hi Alex. I have had out of order for many years now it's a great trick but am sorry £24.99 for four cards and a rivet. is to much in my opinion. on the up side I love your Saturday show.
Hi Robert, When put like that you are 100% right. For me it is a magic trick which astounds and baffles friends and family and is often brought up in conversation. Which makes it priceless. Indeed, the fact it is just 4 cards and a rivet is part of what makes it so amazing. Props vs Value is a fascinating topic in magic.
It’s not a good Saturday morning without watching The Monster!:) 1 question about Out of Order as I am newer to magic. This effect looks great! I have been shopping around for a good Oil and Water as that effect also has fascinated me. But Out of Order seems stronger and similar enough that do you feel out of order could replace Oil and Water? You mentioned out of order could be used as part of an oil and water…curious how? Thank you for your show and all you do for magic, especially your history references for us newer folks!
Yes, it could replace Oil and Water. It is a very strong trick on its own. Routines like Oil and Water lend themselves to multiple phases with increasing impossibility. Rene Levand's - 'I Can't Do It Any Slower' being a shining example. Out of Order really gives an impossible finish, as the rivet removes any chance of cheating/manipulation by the magician. It can then be handed out for examination (useful if you have previously been using gaffs or extra cards)
Thank you so much! Love your thoughts and appreciate your support! You help make this the best hobby in the world:) Also went on Monster and bought it!!
Taking the coin back after every coin toss so you can do the switch strikes me as a bit odd/suspicious. Does Alexander deal with this in the HOT tutorial?
Thanks Alex. Another helpful bunch of reviews. What is the diameter of the H.O.T coins? I couldn't find that information anywhere on the internet. I have large hands and, in some situations, I find 10p and 50p coins quite hard to work with. I prefer using half crowns, old English pennies or £2 coins if I have to do a switch.
I will measure them when I'm back in the shop but roughly 10p size. I consider my hands on the small side and found them perfect for finger palm (4th finger) and Bill Elliott's switch. If you like the weight and size of half crowns these coins these coins will take some adapting to. Sadly, it is very hard to find good coin gaffs in old or new UK coins.
@@monstermagicshop Thank you, Alex. That's great. For any other viewers interested, that makes the H.O.T. coins ever so slightly smaller than 2p coins and ever so slightly larger than 10p coins.

Great vid Alex. Out of Order is great trick, even if I am being a bit of a div. 🤣
I also love Iain Bailey's use of the Flip Flap wallet.
I'll ping a video over for you.
Yes, Iain's use of the Flip Flap is great. I really should release it soon.
Thanks Alex. @@monstermagicshop I'm just missing something simple. Whenever you have time.
Great show Alex.....all winners this week
Thank you Ken. Yes, I think so.
Is my hearing improving or is it rough on the high seas this morning? First time I've heard the boat creaking on a Sat morn live 😅
I wish it was your hearing. It has been a bit rough recently. I've sort of got used to it.
Cup of tea? We do things differently in Australia Alex! 🍺
Vegemite?
Just ordered out of order. Is it the same principle as the disintegrating fan?
Hi Brent,
Thanks for the order!
I'm not familiar with the disintegrating fan (I'll need to check it out) but I doubt it.

Yes that would have been the copy Spectacle.
Hey Alex … isnt on the rise a copy of THE HAWK which was released around 10 years ago ?
It is certainly very similar in many ways and really credit should have been given to Alexander Kolle.

When you buy Crazy Sam's Handcuffs, all you get are rubber bands and that costs £21. Sometimes you are paying for the effect and not what you receive.

Hi Julian,
The coins are 25.8mm in diameter and weigh 7 grams.
