Congrats on 50 years NHS🙏🏻 this was one of the sickest events out! That ending was a grand finale! Banger after banger💥 lookin forward to what y’all come up with for 2025
That's debatable, Indys and Bronson's are great. I've flatspotted every pair of OJ wheels I've ever had within a week, even their so called "elite urethane." I don't know how you can seriously charge as much as a formula four or an X Formula for a mid tier wheel. I tried their double duro because I'm stupid and bought into the hype. They honestly felt just like a normal 101a wheel. Paying $56 bucks for that was an absolute kick in the nuts. It's also not even new technology, dual durometer wheels have been around the whole 20 years I've been skating. I do like creature and Santa cruz decks sometimes, DSM in China makes a pretty sturdy deck and provides good value for the consumer. The only problem I have with their decks is they can feel almost too stiff. So most of the time I end up buying from brands made with BBS or Pennswood. I appreciate Ricta because you can buy them for the mid tier price that match the quality. Mob has by far the grippiest grip so I appreciate that, but during the freezing cold winters where I live I'll ride Jessup because I have less adhesive issues with them in the winter. I never cared for Krux, I think they are decent quality but I don't like looking at that hole on the hanger. Slime balls does make favorite cruiser wheel though.
I realize that may have came off harsh and I didn't mean too. NHS is full of fantastic people, their customer service has always been fantastic and that makes a huge difference for me. VX decks are the absolute strongest. If I was a board breaker, I would ride them exclusively. However, I'm in my mid 30s and anything larger than a 6 stair feels like el toro to my old knees so I don't break decks as much as I use to. I still keep one in the quiver just in case I'm feeling risky one day lol. and I love all the reissues. I also just appreciate the history and lore behind NHS. I was just particularly offended by the OJs thing haha.
Probably could have done with some condensing and editing down. A lot of filler, bails and weird stuff. Not to mention why is there a clip of a hells angel member, thats not a great look for brand image haha..
