GYC is a grassroots organization, young people coming together and organizing this. So, move forward in faith and join up with like-minded people and organize something similar. That is what happened in my country too.
The father who birthed the GYC idea (SK Pipim) took it from Ghana where since 1981 the young people (GNAAS) hold annual GNAAS Congress during the long vacation. So it is already in Africa. It came from Africa. So congregate your students and begin in your country. It is a country convocation, not continental!
My friend, dont wait for GYC to come to Africa. You can get together like minded persons like yourself, discuss and plan, and the you approach GYC, and then ask,How can we get started…….thats what you do if you are serious!
