I think his vocals are live here! sounds live! He's really singing. Doesn't sound like prerecorded vocals like when he performs Billie Jean. you can here how raw they are. Amazing! You can even hear him take breaths if you listen close enough. This is a very hard vocal. He clearly still had it vocally. Good technique. I really think he was gonna do more than half the live set with live vocals to wow the world. He was gonna bring it!!
How can the vocals be live if the footage presents two different rehearsal dates? You've been easily manipulated. This is nothing more than a demo take with touched up vocals and a couple of live ad libs to make them appear gritty and raw. Mj couldn't tackle this song live 20 years previously yet you believe in his worst shape in his life he was capable of singing it this well? Lol. Also his voice during this era sounded absolutely nothing like in the early 90s let alone early 2000s. Listen to his 2008 WBSS verse on thriller 25. His voice sounds aged which is a part of nature. Lastly there's moments here when his voice is moving here yet no audio can be heard.
