- Did you know that there was a cut encounter between Classic Sonic and Infinite? The two never meet each other directly in the game, but it was discovered that as Classic Sonic, you would meet Infinite and he would send you to fight a duplicate of Modern Tails. If this is the first time you've heard this, it's because I made it up XDD Haha I did find it really unusual tho that Classic Sonic never actually has a single moment with Infinite in the game, despite the fact that the Phantom Ruby is responsible for him being there in the first place. Just highlights how much Classic Sonic really had to do with the story doesn't it? Anyway, this little scenario is how I'd like to imagine it would go down if the game actually did have these two meet. This would have taken place after the threat of the sun was ended but before Sonic and your custom character defeat Infinite. Enjoy!

I allways love villains that actually messes with the hero's head, was this too much to ask for Sega?
Infinite messes with a lot of peoples he's. Remember the phantom ruby? Operation Big Wave, he took out a bunch of people by messing with there heads.
Beginner At SFM In that stage the game only showed Infinite making ilusions to the avatar, wich consisted only in gigant versions of himself. He is also supposed to be taking down the allies but they never show HOW is he doing that.
And when i say "messing with the hero's head" i dont mean only confusing him but breaking his spirit, maybe by making Sonic see an ilusion in wich he fails to protect his friends or something, i dunno SOMETHING THAT DOESNT MAKES HIM A GENERIC PAWN OF EGGMAN
Well I'm pretty sure the Big Infinite's were fighting the heroes.

Beginner At SFM He literally does everything Eggman says, i expected Infinite to actually turn out to be manipulating Eggman, but instead, he just obeys him like a dog until he dissapears. A very weak ending for a character that is supossed to be so powerfull.
Sorry (not) for throwing too much shit on Infinite, but along with Eggman Nega and that evil genie from SaTSR, Infinite is the worst Sonic villain i have seen so far (Giving him a kickass theme song fixes nothing).
Just like a pawn a (Rook) does what ever his (King: Eggman) says.
Also for being the worst Sonic villan, Just watch the Sonic Boom TV Show.

@@renownedredound3299 its cool though personally I like that theory were Infinite is Tails....... from the Bad Future of the Game Gear/Master System Sonic 2. "Only scars remain of who I was" and all that and with the "you live a lie and thats the difference between you and me" could really push for him going after Sonic's friends as he seeks to shatter the image of Sonic being the great hero everyone thinks is when here he couldn't save him. Though it'd be the Ruby that'd be corrupting his personality rather than it actually being S2GG/MS Tails doing it be choice ofcourse

Aww that would have been so surprising and dramatic. Some say that it would have been interesting and intense if Infinite Makes Sonic fights not just his past foes but also his firends and allies. That would have been better and this shows. Thank you for making this come to life. Now how would the Tails Boss fight go? 0_0
I would love to see Classic sonic take on more modern bad guys and modern take on Classic. Needs more balance, so in truth I would love to see this in the game. Sega you have the power of Dlc make this happen.

I think Classic taking on Zavok would work since he's a pretty simple, classic styled villain.
technicly,zavok requires stomp and kick(if we count the lost world-fights,since the forcesfights are designed to be easy),abilitys classic sonic doesnt have.but i would like to see a shadowfight.classic sonic is way underpowered,so he would have to use skill and brain to defeat him

Man this would've been a great idea if sonic team took advantage of the idea that infinite can create illusions of anyone that has the exact same power as the originals instead of seeing just chaos, zavok, shadow, and metal sonic every where
He could start tormenting the characters like (in this animation) forcing Sonic fight an Tails illusion and he [the Tails illusion] starts saying things that he could save him in certain times(like the time he was captured in Lost World). This would be a great concept.
Let's hope SEGA watched this and remade Sonic Forces

The last main Sonic game was heroes. Really I think they should cancel the events of post generations secret rings and make it take place after it. All character development was lost from Unleashed forward.
@@alexpindell4307 Yeah, newer Sonic games have not been as good as the old ones. Sure, Unleashed, Generations, Lost World and Forces have good aspects, but character writing has been worse, as well as things like repetitive night levels and poorer level design. I don't think we should do a reboot, but I definitely think that we need to be able to play as someone besides Sonic and get rid of the boost as well as 2d levels.

We need the Adventure formula, with levels that aren't just straight lines as well as being able to play as different characters with different stories, levels, and gameplay.

This is genius. This also would have been great if as shown by Zavok they can copy personality, meaning infinite could use the ruby to send mistrust among the ranks..... MISSED OPPROTUNITY!

it even was confirmed before release that they have their own reasons for joining eggmans troops.my theory is that zavok was written before it was decided that the copys have no personality and they didnt rewrite him later xD but either way,the zavoklines were not that great either.....this game is just disappointing in its entirety

...I would've liked to see something like this! I mean, if the Phantom Ruby can duplicate various creatures, why not duplicate the heroes as well? They did it to Shadow, who's clearly on the winning team here, so why not the others? It could make for some interesting plot points and even more interesting boss fights. Just imagine Sonic fighting a bunch of clones of himself! That would be awesome!
It just goes to further show that Forces was a huge waste of potential. :(
But... maybe it could also be a learning experience? ;)

In the first infinite Boss fight the clones of him just let you hit them and don't put up a fight. Also there were clones that did fight, remember when you fight the final boss they say there are clones of infinite fighting the good guys.

Can I just say why the heck could they not have done this? I applaud you man for actually making a better story in one small video than two professional writers had to do for the whole game. Not saying I hated the story or the writers, but there were so many cool things like this that were not there that makes me upset. You made the Phantom Ruby more of a character than an object, and I loved that. But to make a long story short, thought this was pretty amazing!

To be honest, this cutscene would make a big impact in sonic forces. Would explain why the virtual clones in the beginning of the game were imposters.

Beginner At SFM yeah in the original game, but still Sega could've misdirected us if this wasn't shown easily. Plus, rather noticing that zavok is gone, sonic was paying attention to the sound instead...

Oscarm1258 channel the beating shadow gave him before he became strong scarred him for life so much he incorporated it into the fake tails vs classic sonic fight.

well,modern tails is still one of the best friends of classic sonic,because of everything that has happened in forces.and considering infinite was the one controlling the creation of the double and not the ruby itself,it only makes sence this way(infinite wasnt present during generations and mania)

God I freakin wish this would happen. Twice so far in Sonic games, they've teased us with a Tails boss fight and both times it just ended prematurely. The phantom ruby offered yet another opportunity for some reality screwing fun times...but sadly no.

I hate Sega how they made tails a coward in this. It's like Sega forgot what tails Chacarter is. We forget this man face chaos 4 in adventure 1 and he face eggman two times in adventure 1. In adventure 2 he fight eggman two times AGAIN. He was so cool back in the day, and now he's a coward. I still like tails today. 😟😧😞 If only they make tails cool in a sonic game again.
Well it isn’t Sega it’s the writers Sega owns the company but they don’t write the story’s if you want a good story hope for sonic frontiers with the new writer Ian Flynn who does an amazing job at the comics

The dialogue makes it sound like Infinite is more of a partner to the Phantom Ruby than a master to the Phantom Ruby.It builds on what the Phantom Ruby did of it's own accord.

Sonic Colors And Forces LOVE to tease us
I could imagine the Tails boss with Rhythm and Balance or a remix of Tails’ lab theme from Sonic Battle. Both would fit either way though.
My thoughts are that the Tails boss should have his blaster Behind Classic for phase 1. Then in Phase 2 he would fly in front of Classic Sonic shooting out charged electric balls. And lastly in Phase 3 he would pull out both blasters behind Classic Sonic, shooting beams at him that he has to dodge. The goal in Phase 3 would be to stay alive until Tails accidentally hits a building so it falls on top of him.
The concept of the battle would be a auto running level like Metal Sonic from Generations which fits perfectly.
Hearing Shadow759 doing Infinite with a serious tone instead of an unhinged one is odd, but so good!
