I recently came to look up how to set up the infinity fans and I must say I’m really grateful, because I haven’t seen any other person show a tutorial on how to set up those fans, and fans in general, as they can get quite confusing to the average and newbie builders. So thank you for that! You’ve gotten yourself a new sub.
I’ve ordered the LCD triple pack from Overclockers but not in stock until late January. I’m looking forward to receiving them and getting them installed. 👍🏼
PCIe is a very strange choice by Lian Li. No one needs 150W for their fans, what’s the limit on the other options? I can’t believe this was necessary. 4090 hogs the PCIe cables!
I have alot of issues with my fans, from lights not working, to working again after the software update, but now the lcd screens only show the lian li logo, when i try to put anything else the lcd turns white for a second and then back to the logo. Trying to fix it for months, i gave up. Nice fans but the software sucks.

Just got the new Hydroshift 360TL AIO that requires power via that Gen 4 PCIe. I have a Corsair PSU with Gen 5 inputs and even using a Gen 4 to Gen 5 adapter from Corsair it still doesn’t work. Super frustrating.
@@TheProvokedPrawn you are correct! I mistakenly used the term “Gen” instead of “Type”. But anyway The cables that you have to plug in from the cooling block that’s sitting on your CPU is a 5V ARGB 3-pin female connector and a female Type 4 PCIE 8-pin connector. My PSU is a newer Corsair RMx Shift 1200 with Gen 5 inputs and I have no way of seamlessly just plugging that Type 4 male PCIe from the cooling block, even when trying with a Corsair adapter cable from female Type 4 from the cooling block to male Type 5 to my PSU it still does not work. When I boot, the AIO pump and fans kick on and the LCD screen will flicker but never actually boot to the lian li logo, it just remains black.
I connected the 6 pin power cable to the lian li module and it burned my usb wire to the mobo. My mobo is now unusable. It wont post. I’ve removed all the peripherals and its locked in a red and yellow light status.
Love your videos. I was hoping to use the LCD fans, but 4 in a row. Do you think I can do 3 in a row then with the 4th one just having a cable off it. So the 3 in a row has a cable and the 4th and its own cable, or will the pins or protective cover get in the way of it being 4 in a row.?
Yeah not gonna lie, these fans are really cool and i definitely want them for my build, but they're forcng me to go from a 850W power supply to a 1000W power supply just for the extra PCIe connections.
Can I use the pigtail off my gpu power cable to power the rgb hub? It’s a 6+2 pigtail, or will it have to much power and fry it? Thanks in advance. Can’t finish my build until I resolve this or my 6pin male to male adapter comes on next week. Really hope to hear back from you

The other issue is that, if you buy one fan, will NOT WORK ! Because you need the lian li controler, that not included in one fan package, but only with three fans package. TERRIBLE!!

My Lian Li fans are connected to the hub but My PSU doesn't have a spare port. What would you do in this scenario. My system boots but no fans. Yet my Galahad 360 keeps CPU temps at 51 degrees. Just no spinning :(
I saw in the video that one of the led screens on the set of 3 fans wasnt working, and i had EXACTLY the same issue, tried a few different things, anyone find a fix?
Any pc will only need 3 or 4 fans to mount on the motherboard tray. PCIe is fine as long as it’s not raking away any gpu bandwidth. May have to go with at least a 1200w psu or greater depending on the system.

Lianli lcd fans need to be connected directly to the board, which means any lianli hub with lcd fans can't be connected to another usb hub. This info. is forwarded by official lianli vendors in my country

It's a strange one but Corsair also has it with iCue Link so it's not unique
That was my thought as well. I got a PSU with a native 12vhpwr connector to try and avoid issues.

Sl-inf fans don't work on the same controller.. which is kinda dumb.. lian li is a headache the more I build 😢
Yeah not gonna lie, these fans are really cool and i definitely want them for my build, but they're forcng me to go from a 850W power supply to a 1000W power supply just for the extra PCIe connections.

When I asked Corsair about it they said it was possible with their hub so the same might apply to Lian Li

Installed the fans. I get LCD images for a while, then all three slowly go away and the regular logo appears. Anyone else have this issue?

Why use a gpu pcie cable? Can you just plug it directly into your power supply since thats effectively what you're doing
Every PSU manufacturer uses different cable pinouts on their PSUs preventing the ability to plug anything directly into a psu.
