(Wether you buy something or not is obviously entirely your choice btw. This is just a random thought I had. I’m not trying to support people that want to oppress others)
@@IndianaJakeShe's spreading harmful misinformation to a vast audience and continues to use her wealth to influence lawmakers to implement legislation that harms trans people, violates their human rights, and makes their lives more dangerous.
Whether she is a bad person is completely beside the point, she's doing bad things. "It is our choices, Harry that show what we really are, far more than our abilities." - Dumbledore
I'm sorry but Lego should stop doing Harry Potter sets. It is contributing to J. K. Rowling.
@@ormapa1206 No, it’s contributing to the Lego designers.
Not nearly the best licensed Lego theme. Lego Marvel and Lego Star Wars are still better and more popular licensed themes. That's not just my opinion.
@@ironkoenigman3258 It kind of is.
You can always get Harry Potter sets. I don’t believe in cutting yourself off from your favorite things.
harry potter is far from my favorite thing
@@just2goodThen why are you scared about buying these sets? I believe in buying ANYTHING you want if it makes you happy.
@@benmalsky9834 dont think she's scared. like she said, you can figure out. a trans woman likely isnt gonna be the biggest fan of product made for a franchise created by a raging TERF
Edit: Saw your below comment. Consider that beyond the people who chose to abstain from buying the product, there are people, trans or otherwise, who are likely genuinely hurt seeing a massive media empire built of a woman who does not believe in their right to exist. Add in that Harry Potter, the books, feature goblins running the banks and slaves saying they like being slaves, and you cant even "separate the art of the artist". The whole franchise is tainted, i dont care about supporting people who, in making product, are supporting it
@@benmalsky9834 The idea is that buying Harry Potter merch gives money to JK Rowling.
@ No, it also gives money to the Lego designers, which is a good thing.
The people who claim to not purchase anything Harry Potter nowadays drive me crazy. You do realize that there are THOUSANDS of people who make this franchise possible who are amazing. You are supporting THEM.
Ya, but that doesn't change the fact that JKR is really transphobic.
JK Rowling uses her vast fortunes to materially worsen the lives of British transgender people. Buying these lego sets gives her money which she uses to fund transphobic hate groups which aim to take away my rights. I am not exaggerating here. Those are facts.
If you're okay with that, then whatever. But don't hide from it.
you can just say you like a thing, if you attempt to justify it (especially like this) you just make yourself out to be a brainless consumer. you actually don't have to support any company! you're not some grand savior of the people because you bought a lego set lmfao
@ I am not a “brainless consumer”, I firmly believe in people’s rights to do whatever they want with their money if it makes them happy.
@@benmalsky9834 even if it harms other people?
If you guys really want to buy Lego Harry Potter sets but are apprehensive because of JK Rowling’s bigoted views, buy it but also consider making contributions to organizations that benefit the trans community to even it out
I love Harry Potter lego sets I have them all
Cue the Internet, desperate to mansplain to trans people why Rowling isn't a problem or how she doesn't make money off her own products and licenses. Why learn what a copyright is when you can keep telling trans people that they aren't suffering as the UK, as lobbied by Rowling, strips them of their rights?
@@EL-uj1pl Even if she does make money, it’s only a fraction of it, the rest goes to all the creatives that make the movies, toys, video games and so on.
@@EL-uj1pl Are you sure it’s a big deal? Are you being sent to camps or anything? If not, then can’t you just live your normal lives?
We get it, you don't care about giving money to a Holocaust denying bigot who wants trans people dead. Save it.
@ ben Shes literally funding the conversion therapy
Healthcare rights have been rolled back significantly in the UK, and across quite a bit of the US for that matter. and Rowling has denied the Holocaust.
I really do not like having someone tell me to stop enjoying the things that makes me happy
did i tell you that at all? i said one of these sets is amazing and that i may end up buying it lol
i love harry potter and jk rolling
okay? lol
SORRY. But The Manor must be one of worst Lego sets ever. It looks too flat from front and why Designers are AFRAID TO USE PLATES? There is barrely any standing place there!
NOOOOO lol 😭
