In Warriors, it was not Singed, it was another Zaunite named Urgot and there is a decent chance he will be in season 2. The guy with the chains (Silas) fighting the soldier with the sword (Garen) and his sister (Lux) because the brother and sister are Demacians who hate magic. Lux is a mage in secret and was even trained by Silas, she summons the giant anti-magic gargoyle named Galio. Ezreal is the guy who finds the magic blue tear is an Indiana Jones-type (but more of a fuck up) and is saved by Kai'sa, a girl who was kidnapped into the void (bad place) and has spent her life hunting void creatures on Runeterra (the planet they are on). In Awaken, this shows a scene in Noxus (the place where Mel and her mom are from) which is in the arena and the fight between Draven (mustache axe guy) and Riven (enslaved girl), the battle for Ionia (between Noxus again and the Asian inspired Ionians) where Irelia (flying blade lady) squares off with Scion (Noxian commander) and is eventually aided by Karma(who shields her), Akali who throws the smoke bombs, Yasuo who creates a tornado with his sword, and Kennen a yordle(Heimerdinger species) who is the head of a ninja clan. The other fight is between Jhin (piano player) and Camille(a robot lady who is basically the head of a great house of Piltover). Jhin gives Jinx a run for her money on being a crazy person. I cannot wait to see you guys do The Call which is even better than both of these in my opinion.

Kai'sa, the girl in a black suit is basically a mix of Ironman and Venom. She's on a constant state of pain because of the suit, which is in a constant need to feed on something. Not wanting to be eaten by the suit, Kai'sa is constantly on the hunt to kill voidlings, things that are basically related to her suit so she can feed them to it instead of innocent lives.
I’d say more like Samus Aran and Venom Especially since an otherworldly being is trying to corrupt her form sorta like how Samus’ DNA is all sorts of fucked up from her alien encounters
You've done it now, the LoL community will want you watch everything. Though I have to admit that the animation is done well for most of them. It's part of the reason so many of us were hyped for arcane, as riot had no problem shelling out some serious cash for some rather short videos.

I genuinely think the League universe, when it comes to television/cinema, can become as big as the MCU, and I can't wait for it😍
I think Piltover is the region which is easiest to introduce to a new Audience. No magic, mostly human characters and the clear dynamic between Zaun and Piltover. Decmacia/Noxus is probably the easiest next direction to take it if they want the switch, though I suspect they will struggle to move away from the Vi/Jinx story

Keep in mind Jayce's conversation with Silco. "Remember what brought us together to begin with, the threats outside our borders." Piltover/Zaun was the best place they could start the series because it's a nation of primarily human powerlevels. They intentionally limit the scope of our knowledge of the world of Runeterra to better pace the crazy CRAZY things that can happen.
So Arcane takes place in Piltover, which is only a small region in the larger world from League of Legends, called Runeterra. We were also introduced to Noxus, where Mel and her mom are from. These videos showed a few of the others. The big knight and the guy with the chains are from Demacia, a more medieval type region. Then the female blade dancer in Awaken was defending her homeland, Ionia, which is inspired by Japan and Asian mythologies.

Vi and Cait look older here because Arcane is an origin story and even before the time skip they're still in the past. A lot happens to Cait and Vi between Arcane and the present. Also the spider legs guy they're fighting is Urgot, a Noxian, the doctor Singed doesn't get body replacements as far as I know. So maybe we see Urgot in the future, they're introducing Noxus in Arcane, and I think that's the best region to introduce because it connects to so many other regions. The Knight and the mage girl are in Demacia, the rival nation of noxus. Demacia is kinda discriminating against mages, so for her to show her magic powers in front of demacians soldiers and her brother it's a lot. The blonde hair guy is in shurima, which is a region south from Piltover, basically is like ancient Egypt. In awaken, the guy with the mask and the hextech enhanced girl with the enforcers are in the theater Jayce and Mel were making corrupt deals with the council. Maybe we'll see them in arcane. The coliseum part is in Noxus, Draven, the bored guy is the executioner that turned the public execution s into some sort of entertainment because of his ego. the girl she fights against is Riven, a Noxian ex soldier that left the army after seeing the horrors Noxus commits in the war against Ionia. (they hire Singed to use chemical weapons in villages) the girl with the blades is Irelia, she is defending Ionia against the Noxian Invasion. I recommend you check out the interactive Runeterra map in the league universe page to see how big this world is, and where Piltover is.

Arcane is about Zaun/Piltover which are 1 or 2 (depending on your view) Regions on the planet called Runeterra. Warriors showed you Freljord (Snow Region/ Nordic region), Zaun Prison(The Vi & Cait part) and an Shuriman tomb (Desert like region) which had voidlings in it(small violett creatures). If you plan on expanding your league lore knowledge you will learn more about the main bad thing (The Void). Awaken showed you Piltover (Theater), Ionia (Japan like region), and an noxian Colloseum. As Arcane Fans the only interesting part for Arcane2 is, that u probably will see Camile (Cyborg lady with blade legs). If you noticed her eyes turning blue for a moment when the officers walked in the traps. Thats the point where she analysed the traps and knew how to avoid it. She is the perfect assasin and she does not fail. If she gets the order to kill jinx, jinx has 0% chance against her. Thats probably why she wasnt in Arcane. She is probably the strongest piltover in league (if you exclude heimerdinger + other yordles)
Definitely recommend watching The Call as well, same epic music and fight scenes as these two. And Leagues lore encompasses all kinds of different fantasy themes. So if the steampunk theme in Arcane wasn’t your thing, there’s plenty elsewhere to get into, and Arcane’s success could lead to shows that delve into those, so definitely stay tuned
As of May 2022, there are currently 160 Champions in the League of Legends roster. And one of the many things that Arcane did well was develop characters who weren't Champions. Silco and Mel, for instance, are original to Arcane, created entirely for show. Piltover and Zaun are also just two cities in the world of LoL; there is much, much more out there. So yes, if/when Arcane goes on, they have a very large source of potential inspiration to draw from, plus whatever they come up with on their own.
Im impressed about Pudgey instantly recognizing Kennen as a member of Heimerdingers species (Yordle) and also pointing out the relationship between "the blonde girl" (Lux) and Garen, who is her Brother, most of the match ups in those clips are pretty uneven in game but they show some gamemechanics including movement (Kennen the small thing can transform and run verry fast as a small lightning ball, Camille the special forces Lady can shoot cables and catapult herself arround) and other abilities like energy shields, hooks (like when Vi got allmost sucked in) and a two ultimate abilities (more cooldown in game and stronger) like when Kennen emitted a huge lightning field, when that Chain Guy (Sylas) Summoned the buff guys sword or when that Gargoyle (Galio) came in to protect Lux who charged her "solar beam" right before the LoL logo.
So they do make their own music and if you want more content with arcane characters you can check out- Get jinxed (has Jinx in it) True Damage- Giants (has Ekko in it, it's a skin promotion, so he might look different- it also has an arcane easter egg in it I think.) Space odyssey- skin trailer (It also has Jinx in it, in a new skin, and it's an amazing video) Mortal Reminder- pentakill (So it doesn't have an arcane character particularly, but it takes place in Bandel City- the city of yordles from where Heimerdinger is from)
The amazing thing about League of Legends is the absolute *ocean* of lore this series has. Even Arcane, as good as it is, barely scratches the surface of Piltover and Zaun. There are so many champions all with their own allegiances, ideals, histories, and conflicts that you could write a novel about any one of them and it would be amazing.
I figured that Spartan would enjoy these cinematics.. these are specifically designed to get players hyped for the season, lots of over the top action and set pieces. And yeah there's lots of badass dudes in the lore, the two guys swordfighting were Garen and Sylas(guy in chains). in Demacia, where Garen is from, along with his sister Lux (the blonde girl at the very beginning) magic is outlawed and mages are oppressed to the point of often being executed if they're caught practicing magic that is considered dangerous. Sylas has joined forces with an aggressive clan from the Freljord (Nordic-inspired region full of animal spirits and fierce warriors) to lead a rebellion against Demacia and overthrow their rulers. The creature that Lux summoned at the end was Gallio, who is kind of a huge living statue.
There's so much going on in that universe that it's hard to know where to even begin. Go over to Necrits channel and find his videos explaining the lore behind these cinematics, amongst a treasure trove of other League information. That's all Necrit does. So much in fact that Riot even turned him into an NPG in the League game. I hope you guys watch the K.DA music videos too.
Arcane is actually the origin story for Jinx and Vi and other League characters in the show. While in the cinematic you just watched they look more mature.
I would love to see you react to more of RIOT's cinematics and lore. You can start with the Legends of Runeterra ones and check each region from there.
The people attacking in that japanese settings, the ones with the big red monster dude, they are from Noxus. The same Region Mel's family is from. Because it was kinda teased in Arcane I suspect we will see a bunch more of Noxus next season. Btw also the same Region that Gladiator arena was located in.
Arcane was just a little piece of this huge world called Runeterra, where several other tales and stories take place, yes it is a magical medieval world, only Piltover where the story of Arcane takes place it is the place of inventions and evolution, it is the most evolved place that has "the city of progress", Piltover and Zaun, now several other places full of creatures and magic yes there are even Dragons and everything, imagine Jinx and Vi finding things like this, well, it can happen

The Warriors was a display of some of their skins. The Vi and Kaitlynn we saw was their Steampunk skins. The purple gal is Kai'sa, and the blonde gal is Lux. And, that creature that dropped down at the end in the fortress is Galio.
Obviously you are probably gonna check out The Call next but I'll still recommend it :D Other than that you might want to check out the music videos riot releases every year to promote their world championship finals. They usually have a very epic song and really good animation. They are not centered on the lore or the world though but instead focus on the actual professional players. The legends that the most people are cheering for. Which is also pretty damn cool. And then there is "A twist of fate" and "A new dawn" which are both very epic cinematics with the characters worth checking out. But they are almost 10 years old by now and were made at a time when the lore of the world wasnt really a thing yet. So they are just random characters fighting for no reason but it looks very good.
some lore if you guys want: Warriors shows 3 places, Freiljord ( the cold place), more specifically the frontier between Demacia and Freiljord, where this chain guy (Sylas) runnaway to recruit freiljordians to fight against demacia ( he created a revolution of mages in demacia cuz there they put mages in jail or kill them just bc they are mages.) We see Garen (sword guy) who is a leader of troops (cool guy, kinda government dog but he tries his best), His sister Lux (blonde girl) who is secretly a mage, and last to show up is Galio, A giant statue made off of a anti-magic stone, he absorved so much magic that he came to life to rescue everyone. Zaun (you know that one), The bald guy isnt the Doctor (Singed), that is an ex-executioner from noxus that remade himself (quite literally) in zaun and became kind of a mob boss in the underground. Vi and Cait where trying to keep him locked up. Last place is Shurima, (temple looking place), Blonde boy is Ezreal, he is a piltovan archeologist who loves to indiana jones. Girl who appears in purple is Kai'sa, at a young age she fell into another dimension called The Void (where those monsters came from) and she survived with the help of a creature that became her clothes, a parasite. She managed to come back to runeterra and now hunts Void creatures that appears in this dimension. Awaken: Also 3 places. Opens in a theater in Piltover, the masked guy is a serial killer from Ionia called Jhin. The woman after him is Camille, leader of the Ferros family (imagine swat or special cops) Ionia (japanese looking place), is a magical land being invaded by noxus, the woman in red is Irelia, she is trying to fight for their land and encouraging people to fight to. we also see there: Karma (shield green lady), Akali (ninja lady), Yasuo (samurai doing the hurricane), Kennen (yordle with the lightning powers) and Sion (noxian oger looking monster). Last place is a Gladiators Pit in NOXUS, Thats how they entertain themselves there, the emperor looking guy is actually the guy who made the pit an atraction full of spectacles , Draven, He is bored bc no one offers him a challenge. Then enters Riven, she was exiled during the first invasion of ionia and now was recaptured as a fighter for the pit.

Watch "The Call" a cinematic released 4 months ago and "All That Will Ever Be" a few days old right after, it reveals a new champion just revealed and not yet in game.
I guess? It's not really canon to the story and I doubt they want to get hit with another copyright issue for Enemy, since they had problems with the first reaction to Enemy.
The awaken cinematic was done 2 years ago but arcane took 6 years to be done. This cinematic shows Caitlyn and Vi fighting together based on the story from Arcane. I believe these two characters never interacted together before in the game.
They've been work buddies basically since they were both introduced. They even have a shared buff if both of them are in the game, "Piltover's Finest". So their lore is definitely tied together.
The little man that did the big lightning spell towards the end is called Kennen, and as you guessed he is a Yordle (same as Heimerdinger). Y'all are interested into the characters they could bring into Arcane, well let's just say there are over 150 playable champions in league :D (Though I wonder if Arcane will bring up the Shadow Isles creatures until many more seasons -.-) In arcane, (so far) we've only seen some characters from Zaun / Piltover. Noxus has been barely talked about in the show, and no mention of the shadow Isles, Bilgewater, Freljord, Ionia, Demacia, Shurima and Targon! There is HUGE potential for this show and I sure hope we get over 20 seasons :P
Blonde girl is Lux, the guy with the sword is her brother Garen, the guy with the chains is Sylas. Demacia(where they're fighting) is a city that is very anti magic, Sylas was in jail for using magic, his ability is to absorb magic and manifest it, hence why he manifested Garens sword. Lux knows magic, but hides it because of the treatment she may possibly get from her brother and the rest of the city elders, Sylas helped teach her magic while she visited him in jail. In the end to save her brother she used the wand to summon Galio, (the huge stone golem) to back up herself and the army
I was so happy to see this uploaded. The cinematics really are so badass. Their are region specific cinematics that kind of give you a feel for each regions theme. I won't recommend vids as I don't know the names of most of them but I'm sure other commenters got me covered😄

The guy with the chains is Sylas. The sword he summons is actually a reflection of Garen's, the guy with the sword he is fighting. That's because Sylas's theme is that he can steal and absorb the magic of his opponents.
The first place on the warrior cinematic is Demacia . A strong, lawful kingdom with a prestigious military history. They are prejudice against magic, to the point were they would exile, execute or imprison mages within Demacia. Sylas (chain dude) was a prisoner for many years, until he escaped and started the rebellion. The other characters are Garen and his sister Lux. They are from a high prestigious family. Lux discovered that she has magic powers from a young age, but kept them hidden until she revealed her powers in this cinematic for the first time, waking up Galio, the stone colossus, who stood motionless for decades until the presence of powerful magic stirred him to life.
People seeing cinematics like this one and saying "Riot should make a show, I'd totally watch it" is what propelled the creation of Arcane. You wont regret seeing Riot cinematics and music videos. Very likely, if it continues, Arcane will eventually leave Piltover and Zaun to explore more magical lands. Piltover/Zaun are an independent city-state in the middle of many powerful and diverse countries that have more interaction with magic. The world of Runeterra currently has about 150 "Champions" and rising, with as much story and fanbase as the 8 champions found in Arcane. The Tales of Runeterra are a fun and beautiful set of shorts each depicting a country or region of Runeterra, including Piltover and Zaun. It's a great way to conceptualize the world of Runeterra, its cultures and a good way to situate yourself down a good path of lore. the girl shooting the rockets is kai sa :) the knight dude is garen, the one with the chains is sylas... and so on. all of them have a fully fleshed out origin story :) kaisa is fighting the void (vs rek sai), garen is a knight for his country, sylas was imprisoned and now wages war against the ones who imprisoned him... soooooooo much to get into
Jhin (The one with the mask) vs. Camille (he's a Hexteck creation) fight in Ionia, Draven vs. Riven fight in Noxus, the one fighting Vi and Caitlyn is Urgot, a creation of Singed, (Singed also transformed Vander's body and transformed him into a wolf named Warwick)
Hi guys I love how you reacted to these videos. in both videos we have clear references to the Arcane series. Vi and Caitlyn in the first one, both with a more mature design, Vi using combat gauntlets and not work ones like the previous ones and Caitlyn with a new rifle that of course is Arcane. As for the other video we have the white-haired woman Camille from the Ferron clan. many fans of League of Legends expect this character to appear in season 2 as he will follow the story of Piltover and Zaun, his name was mentioned by Mel Amedara in ep2 and his appearance may create a command conflict in Piltover as he commands a parallel military force to which Caitlyn integrates where their methods are more violent.
O boy we going down the rabbit hole of league content. I'm here for it. If you're really trying to get into the story of league with their updated music videos, you can start with the 2018 season cinematic "Climb". Then 2019, 2020, then 2022. The 2021 season cinematic isn't a music video. If you just want all league content just in general, the League of Legends YT channel has a playlist just called cinematics with just all their cinematics. Bottom to top, some of their earlier videos aren't part of the actual story anymore as they changed it a while back. But they're still fun watches.

This is not existing music that they picked out for the video, it is made FOR the video itself (the only exception is the "Warriors" cinematic, since that is an existing Imagine Dragons song that the video remixed into an orchestral song). They have also created music groups and released actual mainstream music that wasn't made for any specific cinematic (along with some pretty cool animated music videos to go along with it). Some examples of these songs are "True Damage - GIANTS" and "K/DA - POP/STARS". I recommend checking them out! All the songs featured in Arcane are also all made from scratch, specifically for the show.

One thing I would suggest watching is "Tales of Runeterra" - its a series of short animations representing most regions of the world and works as a great introduction to the larger setting. Also keep in mind that Arcane per-se is not canon in the main League of Legends universe. There are many "sub-universes" such as one where the characters are K-Pop stars (with great stories too) or Anime Magical Girls. Arcane is amongst these universes as it takes some pretty big liberties with the timeline and characters (Admittedly they are good changes for a TV show imho but they still contradict some pretty major lore). Basically canon lore can be applied to predict Arcane but it doesnt work the other way around.
Please react to *Terror in Demacia* and the whole ruination cinematics. The Ruination cinematics are like mini Arcane season featuring different characters.
Season 2 of Arcane is apparently supposed to be the end of the Piltover-Zaun Arc, however next place is probably Noxus, where Mel is from and where the gladiator stuff is going down
Riot has done a lot of great videos, so there's no shortage of options. Rise was always a personal favorite of mine. Music and animation are great, but it tells the story of one of the pro players that finally won a world championship after years of coming up short. #ambition
There's a good chance that some certain champions that reside in Piltover & Zaun like Warwick (who might be Vander resurrected), Camille, Zeri, Seraphine & Ezreal (the blonde crossbow kid) will appear in Season 2 of Arcane.
You should also watch the connected videos of Lucian and Senna's story. I think there are basically 4, Lucian: Purifier's resolve, Senna Dark Passage, The Climb, and Senna Shadows Embrace in that order. And then Ruination.
Yeah, Runeterra is a pretty crazy place, while there are humans like Vi and Jayce who can barely lift a boulder, we have people like Garen who can destroy a stone bridge with a swing of his sword and carry giant statues.
There is so much lore just in this video between all the characters. And they are only just a small fraction of the league universe. Like with their lore if they put every character from the game in the show they would have way more than the MCU and I personally think it would be better. This is all the same universe within the same time period there are just different lands within the universe with different religions and customs. There's a bunch of human infighting within a country but also several wars occurring and there is an existential threat of what could be considered their gods going on as well.
In Awaken. Irelia 10:25 defending her home region Ionia with Karma, Akali, Yasuo and Kennen. against the Noxian invasion 11:23 That Sion. And that arena fight was Draven and Riven.
So in Awaken that is Ionia and yes it's basically Japan. What you are seeing is the Ionians fighting Noxus(Mel from arcanes moms people). They are invading. The girl in red is Irelia a rebellion leader, The big dude who hits her is general Sion. Then Ireila is saved by a shield from Karma and the female in green who jumps on Sion is a ninja called Akali. Then the little lightning Yordle is Kennen a head of a ninja order. In the arena that is Noxus. The female is Riven she is a Noxus traitor and the guy that jumps in is Draven. He is the brother of Darius a high ranking noxian general. Draven only really cares about winning favor with the crowd in the arena . The theater is the enforcers breaking in to look for the piano guy named jhin. He is a crazy serial killer. The enforcers are lead by Camille. In Warriors you see Lux and her brother Garen they are from Demacia. The dude with the chains invading is Sylas. His people are from the freljord(think vikings). Cait and VI are trying to stop a cult from releasing Urgot(Big dude in tank) This maybe the story line for season 2 of Arcane BTW. The blond guy is ezreal a treasure hunter, and the girl that saves him is Kai'Sa who fights a evil entity known as "The void" She is kinda like a female ironman, but her suit is actually made from the thing she is fighting "The void"
I can see why you feel how you feel about Arcane but the thing is these cenematics you're watching are years later. League's lore is as massive as DC or Marvel if not bigger. Imagine how long it took for them to just show Multiverse. Trust in RIOT. One thing they are good at is making insane videos. Also, you've to understand most League OG fans are following these stories for a long long time. We can be protective some time. If you're really interested, you're in for a journey. Give it 6 months or so to know more about the universe and you'll be hooked.
Also Arcane is very much an origin story for a select group of characters. They muted alot of the more crazy aspects of the world to a degree, I assume to make it more accessible for newcomers, but yeah Runeterra is wild and there's so many stories that Riot could potentially tell if they keep going with these shows.
For some ways the characters could show up with minimal spoilers (Mostly just simple lore)= Urgot (the one Vi and Caitlyn fought) and Camille are in Piltover/Zaun already. Jihn was fighting Camille so those 3 could make appearances or references pretty easy. Ezrael and Kai'sai are the ones in the tomb raiding part of Warriors. Ezrael is from Piltover so could make an appearance or reference. Mel and her Mother are from Noxus so anything connected to them or Noxus could reasonably make appearances. Noxus is a massive military meritocracy so it has interactions with much of the world. In Awaken Riven fought Draven in Noxus, though they feel unlikely to be main characters but might make apperances or get mentioned. The big war with the anime/asian vibe is Noxus with Sion vs Ionia with the 5 heroes (starting with Irelia). This war could maybe be referenced or it's spill over into the story. In Warriors the iced over battle takes place at the North of Demacia with siblings Garen and Lux + Galio fighting Sylas. Demacia is a Monarchy and one of the world powers of a similar size to Noxus and they have had multiple conflicts with each other. So Demacia could be mentioned or it's characters show up if Noxus becomes more a larger part of the story in season 2+. If Noxus becomes a larger part of the story in season 2, the other places/people might be teased and set up for later seasons.
These kind of cinematics are actually the reason Arcane was made. The fans of the game kept saying that Riot should make a show based on these cinematics.

you have to know that the series "Arcane" takes place in Piltover which is ONLY ONE REGION of Runeterra, so no a lot of things have no relation to what you saw in the series. Same with the characters, since Arcane comes from the league of legends universe and not the opposite chances are, the characters you think you recognize from the show are not who you think they are.

In Warriors, it was not Singed, it was another Zaunite named Urgot and there is a decent chance he will be in season 2. The guy with the chains (Silas) fighting the soldier with the sword (Garen) and his sister (Lux) because the brother and sister are Demacians who hate magic. Lux is a mage in secret and was even trained by Silas, she summons the giant anti-magic gargoyle named Galio. Ezreal is the guy who finds the magic blue tear is an Indiana Jones-type (but more of a fuck up) and is saved by Kai'sa, a girl who was kidnapped into the void (bad place) and has spent her life hunting void creatures on Runeterra (the planet they are on).
In Awaken, this shows a scene in Noxus (the place where Mel and her mom are from) which is in the arena and the fight between Draven (mustache axe guy) and Riven (enslaved girl), the battle for Ionia (between Noxus again and the Asian inspired Ionians) where Irelia (flying blade lady) squares off with Scion (Noxian commander) and is eventually aided by Karma(who shields her), Akali who throws the smoke bombs, Yasuo who creates a tornado with his sword, and Kennen a yordle(Heimerdinger species) who is the head of a ninja clan. The other fight is between Jhin (piano player) and Camille(a robot lady who is basically the head of a great house of Piltover). Jhin gives Jinx a run for her money on being a crazy person.

Kai'sa, the girl in a black suit is basically a mix of Ironman and Venom. She's on a constant state of pain because of the suit, which is in a constant need to feed on something. Not wanting to be eaten by the suit, Kai'sa is constantly on the hunt to kill voidlings, things that are basically related to her suit so she can feed them to it instead of innocent lives.

I think Piltover is the region which is easiest to introduce to a new Audience. No magic, mostly human characters and the clear dynamic between Zaun and Piltover. Decmacia/Noxus is probably the easiest next direction to take it if they want the switch, though I suspect they will struggle to move away from the Vi/Jinx story

Keep in mind Jayce's conversation with Silco. "Remember what brought us together to begin with, the threats outside our borders." Piltover/Zaun was the best place they could start the series because it's a nation of primarily human powerlevels. They intentionally limit the scope of our knowledge of the world of Runeterra to better pace the crazy CRAZY things that can happen.
So Arcane takes place in Piltover, which is only a small region in the larger world from League of Legends, called Runeterra. We were also introduced to Noxus, where Mel and her mom are from.
These videos showed a few of the others. The big knight and the guy with the chains are from Demacia, a more medieval type region. Then the female blade dancer in Awaken was defending her homeland, Ionia, which is inspired by Japan and Asian mythologies.
Piltover X Zaun is not even a region...it's a small independent City between the border of Noxus and Shurima

Vi and Cait look older here because Arcane is an origin story and even before the time skip they're still in the past. A lot happens to Cait and Vi between Arcane and the present. Also the spider legs guy they're fighting is Urgot, a Noxian, the doctor Singed doesn't get body replacements as far as I know. So maybe we see Urgot in the future, they're introducing Noxus in Arcane, and I think that's the best region to introduce because it connects to so many other regions.
The Knight and the mage girl are in Demacia, the rival nation of noxus. Demacia is kinda discriminating against mages, so for her to show her magic powers in front of demacians soldiers and her brother it's a lot.
The blonde hair guy is in shurima, which is a region south from Piltover, basically is like ancient Egypt.
In awaken, the guy with the mask and the hextech enhanced girl with the enforcers are in the theater Jayce and Mel were making corrupt deals with the council. Maybe we'll see them in arcane.
The coliseum part is in Noxus, Draven, the bored guy is the executioner that turned the public execution s into some sort of entertainment because of his ego. the girl she fights against is Riven, a Noxian ex soldier that left the army after seeing the horrors Noxus commits in the war against Ionia. (they hire Singed to use chemical weapons in villages)
the girl with the blades is Irelia, she is defending Ionia against the Noxian Invasion.
I recommend you check out the interactive Runeterra map in the league universe page to see how big this world is, and where Piltover is.

Arcane is about Zaun/Piltover which are 1 or 2 (depending on your view) Regions on the planet called Runeterra. Warriors showed you Freljord (Snow Region/ Nordic region), Zaun Prison(The Vi & Cait part) and an Shuriman tomb (Desert like region) which had voidlings in it(small violett creatures). If you plan on expanding your league lore knowledge you will learn more about the main bad thing (The Void).
Awaken showed you Piltover (Theater), Ionia (Japan like region), and an noxian Colloseum.
As Arcane Fans the only interesting part for Arcane2 is, that u probably will see Camile (Cyborg lady with blade legs). If you noticed her eyes turning blue for a moment when the officers walked in the traps. Thats the point where she analysed the traps and knew how to avoid it. She is the perfect assasin and she does not fail. If she gets the order to kill jinx, jinx has 0% chance against her. Thats probably why she wasnt in Arcane. She is probably the strongest piltover in league (if you exclude heimerdinger + other yordles)

As of May 2022, there are currently 160 Champions in the League of Legends roster.
And one of the many things that Arcane did well was develop characters who weren't Champions. Silco and Mel, for instance, are original to Arcane, created entirely for show.
Piltover and Zaun are also just two cities in the world of LoL; there is much, much more out there.
So yes, if/when Arcane goes on, they have a very large source of potential inspiration to draw from, plus whatever they come up with on their own.
Im impressed about Pudgey instantly recognizing Kennen as a member of Heimerdingers species (Yordle) and also pointing out the relationship between "the blonde girl" (Lux) and Garen, who is her Brother, most of the match ups in those clips are pretty uneven in game but they show some gamemechanics including movement (Kennen the small thing can transform and run verry fast as a small lightning ball, Camille the special forces Lady can shoot cables and catapult herself arround) and other abilities like energy shields, hooks (like when Vi got allmost sucked in) and a two ultimate abilities (more cooldown in game and stronger) like when Kennen emitted a huge lightning field, when that Chain Guy (Sylas) Summoned the buff guys sword or when that Gargoyle (Galio) came in to protect Lux who charged her "solar beam" right before the LoL logo.

The amazing thing about League of Legends is the absolute *ocean* of lore this series has. Even Arcane, as good as it is, barely scratches the surface of Piltover and Zaun. There are so many champions all with their own allegiances, ideals, histories, and conflicts that you could write a novel about any one of them and it would be amazing.
I figured that Spartan would enjoy these cinematics.. these are specifically designed to get players hyped for the season, lots of over the top action and set pieces. And yeah there's lots of badass dudes in the lore, the two guys swordfighting were Garen and Sylas(guy in chains). in Demacia, where Garen is from, along with his sister Lux (the blonde girl at the very beginning) magic is outlawed and mages are oppressed to the point of often being executed if they're caught practicing magic that is considered dangerous. Sylas has joined forces with an aggressive clan from the Freljord (Nordic-inspired region full of animal spirits and fierce warriors) to lead a rebellion against Demacia and overthrow their rulers. The creature that Lux summoned at the end was Gallio, who is kind of a huge living statue.
There's so much going on in that universe that it's hard to know where to even begin. Go over to Necrits channel and find his videos explaining the lore behind these cinematics, amongst a treasure trove of other League information. That's all Necrit does. So much in fact that Riot even turned him into an NPG in the League game. I hope you guys watch the K.DA music videos too.
Arcane is actually the origin story for Jinx and Vi and other League characters in the show. While in the cinematic you just watched they look more mature.

The people attacking in that japanese settings, the ones with the big red monster dude, they are from Noxus. The same Region Mel's family is from.
Because it was kinda teased in Arcane I suspect we will see a bunch more of Noxus next season.

Arcane was just a little piece of this huge world called Runeterra, where several other tales and stories take place, yes it is a magical medieval world, only Piltover where the story of Arcane takes place it is the place of inventions and evolution, it is the most evolved place that has "the city of progress", Piltover and Zaun, now several other places full of creatures and magic yes there are even Dragons and everything, imagine Jinx and Vi finding things like this, well, it can happen

The Warriors was a display of some of their skins. The Vi and Kaitlynn we saw was their Steampunk skins. The purple gal is Kai'sa, and the blonde gal is Lux. And, that creature that dropped down at the end in the fortress is Galio.

Other than that you might want to check out the music videos riot releases every year to promote their world championship finals. They usually have a very epic song and really good animation. They are not centered on the lore or the world though but instead focus on the actual professional players. The legends that the most people are cheering for. Which is also pretty damn cool.
And then there is "A twist of fate" and "A new dawn" which are both very epic cinematics with the characters worth checking out. But they are almost 10 years old by now and were made at a time when the lore of the world wasnt really a thing yet. So they are just random characters fighting for no reason but it looks very good.
The place at 10:10 is where mama Medarda is from btw, you can tell by the glorification of war and violence there

Freiljord ( the cold place), more specifically the frontier between Demacia and Freiljord, where this chain guy (Sylas) runnaway to recruit freiljordians to fight against demacia ( he created a revolution of mages in demacia cuz there they put mages in jail or kill them just bc they are mages.) We see Garen (sword guy) who is a leader of troops (cool guy, kinda government dog but he tries his best), His sister Lux (blonde girl) who is secretly a mage, and last to show up is Galio, A giant statue made off of a anti-magic stone, he absorved so much magic that he came to life to rescue everyone.
Zaun (you know that one), The bald guy isnt the Doctor (Singed), that is an ex-executioner from noxus that remade himself (quite literally) in zaun and became kind of a mob boss in the underground. Vi and Cait where trying to keep him locked up.
Last place is Shurima, (temple looking place), Blonde boy is Ezreal, he is a piltovan archeologist who loves to indiana jones. Girl who appears in purple is Kai'sa, at a young age she fell into another dimension called The Void (where those monsters came from) and she survived with the help of a creature that became her clothes, a parasite.
She managed to come back to runeterra and now hunts Void creatures that appears in this dimension.

Thats how they entertain themselves there, the emperor looking guy is actually the guy who made the pit an atraction full of spectacles , Draven, He is bored bc no one offers him a challenge.
Then enters Riven, she was exiled during the first invasion of ionia and now was recaptured as a fighter for the pit.

League of Legends has SO much lore to it that they have years and YEARS of story that they can tell.
The awaken cinematic was done 2 years ago but arcane took 6 years to be done. This cinematic shows Caitlyn and Vi fighting together based on the story from Arcane. I believe these two characters never interacted together before in the game.
They've been work buddies basically since they were both introduced. They even have a shared buff if both of them are in the game, "Piltover's Finest". So their lore is definitely tied together.

In arcane, (so far) we've only seen some characters from Zaun / Piltover. Noxus has been barely talked about in the show, and no mention of the shadow Isles, Bilgewater, Freljord, Ionia, Demacia, Shurima and Targon! There is HUGE potential for this show and I sure hope we get over 20 seasons :P
Blonde girl is Lux, the guy with the sword is her brother Garen, the guy with the chains is Sylas.
Demacia(where they're fighting) is a city that is very anti magic, Sylas was in jail for using magic, his ability is to absorb magic and manifest it, hence why he manifested Garens sword. Lux knows magic, but hides it because of the treatment she may possibly get from her brother and the rest of the city elders, Sylas helped teach her magic while she visited him in jail.
In the end to save her brother she used the wand to summon Galio, (the huge stone golem) to back up herself and the army

The guy with the chains is Sylas. The sword he summons is actually a reflection of Garen's, the guy with the sword he is fighting. That's because Sylas's theme is that he can steal and absorb the magic of his opponents.
The first place on the warrior cinematic is Demacia . A strong, lawful kingdom with a prestigious military history. They are prejudice against magic, to the point were they would exile, execute or imprison mages within Demacia. Sylas (chain dude) was a prisoner for many years, until he escaped and started the rebellion. The other characters are Garen and his sister Lux. They are from a high prestigious family. Lux discovered that she has magic powers from a young age, but kept them hidden until she revealed her powers in this cinematic for the first time, waking up Galio, the stone colossus, who stood motionless for decades until the presence of powerful magic stirred him to life.
People seeing cinematics like this one and saying "Riot should make a show, I'd totally watch it" is what propelled the creation of Arcane. You wont regret seeing Riot cinematics and music videos.
Very likely, if it continues, Arcane will eventually leave Piltover and Zaun to explore more magical lands. Piltover/Zaun are an independent city-state in the middle of many powerful and diverse countries that have more interaction with magic. The world of Runeterra currently has about 150 "Champions" and rising, with as much story and fanbase as the 8 champions found in Arcane.
The Tales of Runeterra are a fun and beautiful set of shorts each depicting a country or region of Runeterra, including Piltover and Zaun. It's a great way to conceptualize the world of Runeterra, its cultures and a good way to situate yourself down a good path of lore. I just don't see them naming a show "Arcane" and only sticking to Piltover/Zaun considering "arcane" is synonymous to magic and Piltover/Zaun is the least magical place in all of Runeterra (prolly even less magical than Demacia).
When I played League of Legends a few years ago, they were already over 100 playable characters. And almost every single design was really cool.
Yeah the music for these are good they get you hyped up. I used to listen to them while i played the game alot of the time.
Man if you like the Spartan guy (Name is Atreus/Pantheon In game) his story is reaaaaaaaally good in the game. He's basically like the Kratos of League, but more calm.

*the item that Ezreal (The blonde guy with arcane bow) is actually the Tear of the Goddess. It's an Ingame Item in League of Legends.
*the girl in black suit with alien cannons on her shoulder is Kai'sa, she is a Human that fell into the void when she was a kid. and later on use the Voidlings to be her weapon and suit.
*and in piltover, that is not Dr. Singed. It's Urgot, Dr. Singed is a different Champion in the league, he also has a bio-mask but he has a Huge flask at his back and a shield that he use as a weapon.
*The Guy with Chain is named Sylas, he is a Mage that has been imprisoned in Demacia, but later on escape and fled to Freljord. he has the ability to absorb and use other's magic (ingame, he can copy one of his enemy's Ultimate ability)
*Actually, Lux (the blonde girl who uses the light wand and can control light) actually, she is a mage that lives in a NO-TO-MAGES Region in Runeterra (The World of League of Legends) Her brother Garen (The warrior with humongous sword) kept to everyone that she is a mage, that's why at first she is so hesitant to use her magic. And that's why Sylas was captured in Demacia, because of being a mage and Demacia is one hell of a big Anti-Mage Region

the girl shooting the rockets is kai sa :) the knight dude is garen, the one with the chains is sylas... and so on. all of them have a fully fleshed out origin story :) kaisa is fighting the void (vs rek sai), garen is a knight for his country, sylas was imprisoned and now wages war against the ones who imprisoned him... soooooooo much to get into

Hi guys I love how you reacted to these videos. in both videos we have clear references to the Arcane series. Vi and Caitlyn in the first one, both with a more mature design, Vi using combat gauntlets and not work ones like the previous ones and Caitlyn with a new rifle that of course is Arcane. As for the other video we have the white-haired woman Camille from the Ferron clan. many fans of League of Legends expect this character to appear in season 2 as he will follow the story of Piltover and Zaun, his name was mentioned by Mel Amedara in ep2 and his appearance may create a command conflict in Piltover as he commands a parallel military force to which Caitlyn integrates where their methods are more violent.
O boy we going down the rabbit hole of league content. I'm here for it. If you're really trying to get into the story of league with their updated music videos, you can start with the 2018 season cinematic "Climb". Then 2019, 2020, then 2022. The 2021 season cinematic isn't a music video. If you just want all league content just in general, the League of Legends YT channel has a playlist just called cinematics with just all their cinematics. Bottom to top, some of their earlier videos aren't part of the actual story anymore as they changed it a while back. But they're still fun watches.

13:12 The music these videos feature is all made from scratch by Riot Games (lyrics, melody, production etc.). This is not existing music that they picked out for the video, it is made FOR the video itself (the only exception is the "Warriors" cinematic, since that is an existing Imagine Dragons song that the video remixed into an orchestral song).
They have also created music groups and released actual mainstream music that wasn't made for any specific cinematic (along with some pretty cool animated music videos to go along with it). Some examples of these songs are "True Damage - GIANTS" and "K/DA - POP/STARS". I recommend checking them out! All the songs featured in Arcane are also all made from scratch, specifically for the show.

One thing I would suggest watching is "Tales of Runeterra" - its a series of short animations representing most regions of the world and works as a great introduction to the larger setting.
Also keep in mind that Arcane per-se is not canon in the main League of Legends universe. There are many "sub-universes" such as one where the characters are K-Pop stars (with great stories too) or Anime Magical Girls. Arcane is amongst these universes as it takes some pretty big liberties with the timeline and characters (Admittedly they are good changes for a TV show imho but they still contradict some pretty major lore). Basically canon lore can be applied to predict Arcane but it doesnt work the other way around.

Riot has done a lot of great videos, so there's no shortage of options. Rise was always a personal favorite of mine. Music and animation are great, but it tells the story of one of the pro players that finally won a world championship after years of coming up short. #ambition
There's a good chance that some certain champions that reside in Piltover & Zaun like Warwick (who might be Vander resurrected), Camille, Zeri, Seraphine & Ezreal (the blonde crossbow kid) will appear in Season 2 of Arcane.
You should also watch the connected videos of Lucian and Senna's story. I think there are basically 4, Lucian: Purifier's resolve, Senna Dark Passage, The Climb, and Senna Shadows Embrace in that order. And then Ruination.
You probably should have a look to the LOL 2019 World Championship Finals Opening Ceremony. It is just stunning!
Yeah, Runeterra is a pretty crazy place, while there are humans like Vi and Jayce who can barely lift a boulder, we have people like Garen who can destroy a stone bridge with a swing of his sword and carry giant statues.
Fun fact: there are 160 champions across the Runeterra with different regions.

There is so much lore just in this video between all the characters. And they are only just a small fraction of the league universe. Like with their lore if they put every character from the game in the show they would have way more than the MCU and I personally think it would be better. This is all the same universe within the same time period there are just different lands within the universe with different religions and customs. There's a bunch of human infighting within a country but also several wars occurring and there is an existential threat of what could be considered their gods going on as well.
In Awaken. Irelia 10:25 defending her home region Ionia with Karma, Akali, Yasuo and Kennen. against the Noxian invasion 11:23 That Sion. And that arena fight was Draven and Riven.

So in Awaken that is Ionia and yes it's basically Japan. What you are seeing is the Ionians fighting Noxus(Mel from arcanes moms people). They are invading. The girl in red is Irelia a rebellion leader, The big dude who hits her is general Sion. Then Ireila is saved by a shield from Karma and the female in green who jumps on Sion is a ninja called Akali. Then the little lightning Yordle is Kennen a head of a ninja order.
In the arena that is Noxus. The female is Riven she is a Noxus traitor and the guy that jumps in is Draven. He is the brother of Darius a high ranking noxian general. Draven only really cares about winning favor with the crowd in the arena .
The theater is the enforcers breaking in to look for the piano guy named jhin. He is a crazy serial killer. The enforcers are lead by Camille.
In Warriors you see Lux and her brother Garen they are from Demacia. The dude with the chains invading is Sylas. His people are from the freljord(think vikings). Cait and VI are trying to stop a cult from releasing Urgot(Big dude in tank) This maybe the story line for season 2 of Arcane BTW. The blond guy is ezreal a treasure hunter, and the girl that saves him is Kai'Sa who fights a evil entity known as "The void" She is kinda like a female ironman, but her suit is actually made from the thing she is fighting "The void"

I can see why you feel how you feel about Arcane but the thing is these cenematics you're watching are years later. League's lore is as massive as DC or Marvel if not bigger. Imagine how long it took for them to just show Multiverse. Trust in RIOT. One thing they are good at is making insane videos. Also, you've to understand most League OG fans are following these stories for a long long time. We can be protective some time. If you're really interested, you're in for a journey. Give it 6 months or so to know more about the universe and you'll be hooked.
Also Arcane is very much an origin story for a select group of characters. They muted alot of the more crazy aspects of the world to a degree, I assume to make it more accessible for newcomers, but yeah Runeterra is wild and there's so many stories that Riot could potentially tell if they keep going with these shows.
For some ways the characters could show up with minimal spoilers (Mostly just simple lore)=
Urgot (the one Vi and Caitlyn fought) and Camille are in Piltover/Zaun already. Jihn was fighting Camille so those 3 could make appearances or references pretty easy.
Ezrael and Kai'sai are the ones in the tomb raiding part of Warriors. Ezrael is from Piltover so could make an appearance or reference.
Mel and her Mother are from Noxus so anything connected to them or Noxus could reasonably make appearances. Noxus is a massive military meritocracy so it has interactions with much of the world.
In Awaken Riven fought Draven in Noxus, though they feel unlikely to be main characters but might make apperances or get mentioned.
The big war with the anime/asian vibe is Noxus with Sion vs Ionia with the 5 heroes (starting with Irelia). This war could maybe be referenced or it's spill over into the story.
In Warriors the iced over battle takes place at the North of Demacia with siblings Garen and Lux + Galio fighting Sylas. Demacia is a Monarchy and one of the world powers of a similar size to Noxus and they have had multiple conflicts with each other. So Demacia could be mentioned or it's characters show up if Noxus becomes more a larger part of the story in season 2+.
If Noxus becomes a larger part of the story in season 2, the other places/people might be teased and set up for later seasons.
These kind of cinematics are actually the reason Arcane was made. The fans of the game kept saying that Riot should make a show based on these cinematics.

you have to know that the series "Arcane" takes place in Piltover which is ONLY ONE REGION of Runeterra, so no a lot of things have no relation to what you saw in the series. Same with the characters, since Arcane comes from the league of legends universe and not the opposite chances are, the characters you think you recognize from the show are not who you think they are.
