    This lady is the best baker/cook!!!! Her recipes are spot on, easy to make and DELICIOUS! I made this with chicken thighs in the air fryer instead of pork. OMG the rub is phenomenal and the chicken was a hit, even with my firefighter son who knows how to cook. Everything I had tried on her channel has always come out great!!!! 🙏 thanks for all you do. Keep the recipes coming.

    Excellent video , Thank You !!! Would this be considered Texas or Carolina Pulled Pork ?

    • @SugarSpunRun
      @SugarSpunRun 11 месяцев назад +1

      Hmmm I’d say the sauce is more Texas and the style is more Carolina.

    • @drdrew3
      @drdrew3 20 дней назад

      Texas style is seasoned exclusively with salt, pepper, garlic. Carolina uses mustard based barbecue sauce and apple cider vinegar. This recipe was neither of those. If I had to label it I’d say Kansas City style was closest given the addition of the sweet brown sugar bbq sauce

    Does pulled pork taste any different when using a slow cooker vs using an instant pot?

    • @SugarSpunRun
      @SugarSpunRun Год назад +1

      I wouldn't think it would change the flavor using a different cooking method. :)

    • @drdrew3
      @drdrew3 20 дней назад

      Tastes the same but the slow cooker can provide the searing effect. You’d need a cast iron skillet on a stove top for that. Crock pot also takes about 8 hours to get the meat the proper texture. I can get 8 pounds of sliced butt in my instant falling apart tender in just 90 minutes. Those are the real differences rather than taste

  • @Jabootie-oz1cb
    @Jabootie-oz1cb 3 месяца назад

    Searing olive oil turns into tar. Sear with a TFAL Pan while you're at it? Peanut oil for frying, butter for searing. Recipe sound like a go for next Sunday.

    • @drdrew3
      @drdrew3 20 дней назад

      That’s because you either aren’t getting the cook surface hot enough or you are unintentionally dropping the temperature with cold meat. Olive or avocado oil gives a great sear with proper technique

    • @Jabootie-oz1cb
      @Jabootie-oz1cb 13 дней назад

      @@drdrew3 Concur on the avocado, not virgin olive oil.

    Can I cook your pulled pork in slow cooker if you do not have a pressure cooker

    • @SugarSpunRun
      @SugarSpunRun Год назад

      I'm sure it could work, but I'm not sure on a cook time.

    • @jtcj11
      @jtcj11 Год назад

      Yes you can. Cook time for 4 lbs of pork shoulder is 8-10 hours on high, 10-12 hours on low.

  • @karacaplan2656

    If I am only doing 2 lbs of pork, do I cook for 40 min, or 20 min?? Help 🙄

    • @drdrew3
      @drdrew3 20 дней назад

      If you cut it up then 30 minutes should be about right. But you will wish you made more than 2 pounds. Pork butts still go on sale for 99 cents a pound every few weeks. It’s the best deal in the entire supermarket
