Salary Sacrifice Drawbacks and how to overcome them

I’ve recorded a couple of videos about salary sacrifice, because it’s not well known but is such a fantastic way for some people to boost their pension savings. But with salary sacrifice your gross salary is reduced, so anything that depends on your gross salary could be affected. That includes your:
· Employment benefits
· Borrowing ability
· And any Maternity Pay
So what should you consider before diving headlong into a salary sacrifice scheme?

Can I ask if as the employee can I invest a single/lump sum into a salary sacrifice pension and if so would I also receive the tax relief top up ?
