This movie is pure magic. And this soundtrack. The classics used are exactly that, but the original music....the melancholy. The yearning jumping from the notes is almost painful. And I love it. The movie should remind anyone watching it to focus on all that is good and hold on to it. Because it can go away. Never to come back the same way again.

This film gets better by the year. When I first saw it, I thought it was okay, and certainly better than the snooty critics said, but as the years have passed, I've gone from merely quite liking the film to borderline loving it. It's certainly a Christmas tradition to watch it every year (I just watched it on ITV). It's a real seminal gem with so many great moments (that poignant scene when Emma Thompson opens the present she wasn't expecting from Alan Rickman, Rowan Atkinson's hilarious sales assistant: "Are you going to dip it in yoghurt? Chocolate buttons?", Liam Neeson and Thomas Sangster's mad dash to the airport juxtaposed with Colin Firth marching with Lucia Montiz's family to confess his love to her, Laura Linney having to sacrifice the man of her dreams to care for her mentally ill brother, and even the now iconic, if slightly cringeworthy, scene where Andrew Lincoln tells Keira Knightley how he feels via cue cards). And the music is gorgeous.
@@KeoTheCupcake Just saw it for the first time the other day. The music is what I hear late at night when I think about choices I've made throughout my life.
This is my Boxing Day watch, every single year since it came out. Everyone has gone home, peace and quiet reigns, feet up on the sofa with a glass of Baileys and the Ferrero Rocher box...sheer perfection
A CHRISTmas movie called LOVE Actually, starting with a reference to 9/11 and ending with "GOD only knows" and scenes at Heathrow Airport. Never was the basic choice before us and in our lives made clearer, if in fantastic rom-com packaging!
There is something about the build up then the dissolve of this piece that is just so sublime and pure ecstasy. It mimics perfectly the inhale and exhale sensations or state of falling in love. The composer is brilliant. Absolutely one of my favourite movie soundtracks of all time.
Luis, It’s still months until Christmas. I hope your life is full of love and you don’t have to watch Love Actually alone this year … I felt inspired by your comment (a favorite movie in this house, too), so I put a few thoughts together, based on some of your favorite things. Think of it as an early Christmas present XD … “You are still YOUNG AND BEAUTIFUL. Let go of all those who are ALWAYS SO RUDE … and BEGIN DESIRE anew … EVERYBODY’S FREE to seek the best in life and love, including you! So, DROP THE PRESSURE … let your heart shine like a CITY OF GOLD ...on ONE SUMMER’S DAY … Step out to greet this vida HUMORESQUE … and proudly say YES SIR I CAN BOOGIE … IF ONLY FOR A SECOND … Even by yourself, you can LOSE YOURSELF TO DANCE. When you find the groove of your own CANCION COMPLETA, you get A GLIMPSE OF THE WORLD THROUGH GOD’S EYE … and, soon enough, some wondrous person MIRRORS that groove back to you. And you’ll say THERE SHE IS!! … SOMEONE TO CALL MY LOVER … COME INTO MY WORLD … and then - 28 WEEKS LATER (well, it’s 18 weeks till Christmas, but - who’s counting?!) … you can share the TIME OF YOUR LIFE watching this film together … “ After all, love actually is all around. Feliz Navidad, Luis \o/
A regular Christmas movie in Croatia. It has like a top vine characteristics. Ages make it greater. A masterpiece of moviemaking, although I didn't think so in the begining. And this theme is among three best I've ever heard. It awakens all kind of supreme emotions. Thanks to all for this gem!
Above all you should thank the Holy Spirit of God, working through all involved to achieve transcendence in an assertive love-centred response to the evil and dismay and disarray of 9/11. God could not / would not / did not stop that from happening, but his love was present from the first moments thereafter, including in this movie, which ends with greetings at Heathrow Airport reminding us that flights can also be used to achieve connectivity and to further love, and with "God only Knows" playing in the background.
I watched a live orchestra play the soundtrack as the film played on in the background, it was truly beautiful, absolutely loved it & I now really appreciate this magnificent soundtrack my god, it’s iconic

I come back to hear this soundtrack each Chrismas. Anyone do the same?
This will forever put me in a daze, the senses this track creates are so powerful. I'm instantly transported back to the first time I watched Love Actually. Bliss, joy, sense of community and heartache. crying to this film is the best.
Call it by it's name - that's God working through the Holy Spirit to share the love, as you and I are also working to pass it on. Only slightly beneath the surface "Love Actually" is a profoundly spiritual film and God's specific mission was to remind us of His love in the aftermath of 9/11 (as Hugh Grant makes clear immediately as the film starts). When we say "feelgood", we mean "feel God". He never stops trying with us, never gives up on us, and the version of the United Kingdom (my country) that appears in the film is - surprisingly enough - a kind of paradise... Let's work for that, every moment and every day - as I am trying to do here and now.
I am still hoping the person I dream about would get off my dream and make me feel exactly the way these songs make me feel. I am hoping before I leave this earth, someone looks at me as if I am the only person that they could see themselves with for the rest of their lives. I m hoping.... I m hoping.
In your words, I also hear the words of my own daughter, whose possibilities have been all the more curbed by the pandemic. As it happens, I had strong romantic love in my life twice (though once I was just a kid). So when Andrew Lincoln leaves Keira in the room to let herself out and goes out into the street and does not know what to do, I know that is some of the best and most truthful acting I have ever seen, which is not surprising given the obvious divinely-inspired genius of Richard Curtis in "Love Actually". But here is the trick - some of the love and emotion you feel in this music is from the Holy Spirit, meaning that is God's love-forgiveness-mercy in the universe. That is of course the best and truest kind of love, which never fades or ends. Romantic love is just a tiny sub-part of that, though pretty good too! Pray that you will find it, therefore...
I lived in England when this was filmed. They used to play Dido's songs everywhere. It was truly a period of romance - i was in love too that time. Thanks to the film makers
This is my my my my most fav movie. I've watched it dozens of times. Oooh the heartbreaks get to me. The couple that work together with the brother. What love. The music is beautiful! Thank you for making such a movie. This and The Holiday are my fav.
this is sooo lovely & beautifully put, you guys… ❤️ I am very happy for you!! I am still praying for me to get such a man in my life… not sure it will still happen… I’m already 47 and have had many very sad & terrible disappointments… been soo nice & giving - & Just get cheated on etc. so now I’ve just been single for a while & then the pandemic happened… so another 1.5 years alone & that hasn’t helped things either. 😓😥🥺😢😣 💔
Ughh..!!! Same here..!! Especially with this amazing , 💔 song ..!! his epic: Hans Gruber in “Die Hard..” Sense & Sensibility, in Harry Potter, and him in the beautiful romantic & moving Comedy: “Truly, Madly, Deeply” 💘❣️🤍❤️… etc.!! 😢🥺☹️
True, but the scene lives forever, many adore it and feel calm because of it, and even get ASMR from it. The scene between Atkinson and Rickmann is in fact full of religious and spiritual references, including to yoghurt - a food of the Gods that Abraham himself ate. "Love Actually" is a hugely spiritual, divinely-inspired film, built on God''s love and helping to propagate that love. In fact it was a special mission, because - as Hugh Grant's character makes clear - it was designed to help a poor shocked and disillusioned world get over 9/11. The other film that does that is "Signs" with Mel Gibson, which also is a sign from God in and of itself! Neat! But then the Holy Spirit is a really smart cookie, believe me! Smart enough to change my life completely back in February when I called out in desperation... Now I spread the word, including to you
@@sidpheasant7585: very interesting what you wrote! Yeah … I can see that… 🙂😇✨ and what happened / how did God change your life in February..? If I can know ~ since you were saying: you want to spread the word…✨ 🙏🏼
@@mcveljo Thanks be to God, it's not VERY difficult to reveal such personal things and no doubt it is my mission now, but forgive me if I show still a bit of reserve - all the more so as I do have people around me. But OK, here goes... I had scary (though non-COVID) health issues which I did not feel ready for, so one Sunday in February I begged for mercy, but mainly to be relieved of guilt feelings which suddenly seemed to burden me more than I could stand. Happily (and as it should be), this arose in a context of my being able to show a bit of mercy and kindness and empathy to the person I share my life with (weak and suffering and in a pitiful state as I was at that time). And amazingly, mercy and love and forgiveness was exactly what was then granted to me. I was "cleansed", and conceivably even healed (we will see!) You note that, in The Bible cleansing and healing are treated as the same! I must tell you that - from my point of view - it seemed that a truly vast amount of energy was flowing through me, yet totally calmly and quietly ... and logically, step by step. There was nothing dreamlike or trancelike (or intoxication-like!!!) about it, and I had some small measure of influence on what happened. [I now read and believe that contacts with the Holy Spirit are always like that]. I learned that what was bad in me was not so big (thank God) - I even "saw" my "chain" of the kind described by Dickens in that wonderful story "A Christmas Carol" - so that was certainly a more dreamlike element, but I very clearly felt the bad cleared from me after a minimum moment of resistance (like some small blockage being cleared from a pipe, of all things!!!), and the tremendous and gigantic flow that had gone in passed back out of me to people I love and that matter to me (some expected and obvious, some less so - but at times with some measure of "direction" from me). I somehow felt contact with those people, and forgiveness and love and affection for them, even as I was able to note or recall their strengths and weaknesses. All the time I was also saying "thank you, thank you" in my head! Because it was clear there was something miraculous and it was certainly not an experience I wanted to end. You may note the odd similarity here with what people call "near-death experiences", though this was NOT what was happening. This was a Sunday during the pandemic, so it was followed by a Church service as usual watched by us online that seemed to gel entirely with what I had just experienced, for example noting how God had even forgiven St. Paul (probably and reasonably capable of being regarded as a greater sinner than me) and chosen him for a Disciple. I cried a great deal and more or less without limit as I watched that service, with all the words (from a great Priest that I respect hugely) seeming to refer closely to my situation. Since then, I have seen quite a lot of "signs" of hope and love in nature and art - including as here; I have been freed of most of the anger I had before; I am kinder and more joyful; worry less; I am FAR more resistant to lust and other temptations. I have only sweared twice since the event, while before I would turn the air blue at times! Rather vulnerably and over-sensitively (!), I find myself more offended than before by crude words from others - it seems wrong to use them routinely in a world that is beautiful and in which God loves us (even though bad things like floods in Germany and COVID still keep happening - and probably they ARE worth a bit of bad language!). Sometimes I am able to perform my tasks more easily and with less hesitation and more conviction. As you will note, there are several great pieces of music in which I can sense the presence of the Spirit, and when I write while listening to them those words come easily and mostly without mistakes or typos!! That kind of thing! It's a noticeable change, but I am VERY afraid I might lose what I have gained and go back. I worry how everyday things crowd in too much on the spiritual. I have spent plenty of time researching what one should do to hang on to these spiritual enlightenments, and one thing is to keep on telling people - like you! I do read The Bible, and feel the need to kiss it (really!!!) when I see the beauty of some of those words! And - a bit "soft" as it may also sound, there are moments when I feel just ADORATION for Father, Son and Holy Spirit - and indeed for some Saints which can be loved and admired too. This is a very special kind of love, with a lot of strength and joy in it, very manly - suprisingly, maybe (but then I am male!!!) Believe me, I never expected any of this, but it happened and seems very real and tangible to me. [And it also seems surprisingly similar to what The Bible says]. I am a trained scientist, but now realise that I can accept that I do not fully know or understand what I experienced. Indeed, I'm more than OK with this wonderful and beautiful and empowering thing, mysterious as it also is!
My favorite Christmas movie by far--and what a brilliant soundtrack! Everything fits so perfectly--from the beautiful original theme to the carefully chosen covers. I think the scene at the airport with the Beach Boys God Only Knows is one of the best there is.
I love this movie!, is so charming, it has several sad, happy and fun monents, is mágical and perfect for Christmas time and each song of its soundtrack is so beautiful, l seen it many times and I am seeing it right now!!
But maybe it's also God one can thing about, the ultimate source of all that love, of which the supply never runs out. Why do you think "Love Actually" ends with the Heathrow Airport scene and the music "God only knows"?
Can there be any other music more beautiful and triumphant? I think not! This music sais to the world, that good will win over evil! And that justice will prevail. Incredible piece of music! I heard it for the first time when Navalny was just saved from the Novitchok poisoning, and ever since it is the "piece of hope and justice" for me...🎆
In this age of cynicism, lies, selfishness and hatred this film never fails to renew my faith in human nature and reminds me that Love Actually is all around.
That's the Holy Spirit doing the job, then... Because the best part of human nature comes from there - and "Love Actually" was made to refresh our hope and restore some love after 9/11. The dear Paraclete could not pass up a chance like that, and did not do so...
BRAVO Soundracksuites! So hard to find a good compilation of the many lovely tracks of this phenomenal movie.. you saved my life!!! Thank you so much for posting this.

Miss you Mr. Rickman!
This music uplifts my spirit every time. So beautiful!
Thanks be to God
Brilliance of Craig Armstrong- so beautiful x
True, it's his genius, but raised even higher by the Holy Spirit!
Best Christmas movie ever ❤❤ cant wait till it's all over the tele 😍😍absolutely love it. It hits me in the feels everytime I watch it.
Poklona všem těm kteří umí tvořit nádheru....hned je mi líp....díky
My favorite Christmas movie by far--and what a brilliant soundtrack! Everything fits so perfectly--from the beautiful original theme to the carefully chosen covers. I think the scene at the airport with the Beach Boys God Only Knows is one of the best there is.
Vi esta pelicula mil vecessss!!! Este tema me conmueve y esa historia de la chica portuguesa es la mas linda de la peli con el gran Colin Firth!!!!
"Let's go get the shit kicked out of us by love!"
Come ti ama dio
this music is so beautiful but it hurts so much when you re in love... to my dear i lost for ever....
My own life experiences closely match those of Laura Linney's character. That storyline makes me cry the most.
I bought the CD and this suite was not on it. Thank you so much for posting this. I think this music is totally enchanting.
Superb movie and soundtrack. Can't thank enough to all those who made it.
R.I.P. Alan Rickman

One of my favorite Holiday movies...also gives me a good feeling of that in our crazy world love can overcome when all seems hopeless.

Remove please
Still my favourite christmas movie. Me and my daughter love it. Makes us cry. Wonderful
I can bet.. the person you think about while listening this music.. you can die for them!!
But maybe it's also God one can thing about, the ultimate source of all that love, of which the supply never runs out. Why do you think "Love Actually" ends with the Heathrow Airport scene and the music "God only knows"?
100% yes. Shame they don't feel exactly the same.xx
Love actually is all around... this is the soundtrack of my life...
puedo escucharla una y otra vez, no me canso jamas !!!!!!!
This is my new piece of music that makes me cry and smile at the same time. The movie does it too.... awwww here I go again
everytime it makes me cry
A fantastic movie.
So real and so beautiful.
Música perfeita, mexe com os meus sentimentos toda a vez que ouço, o filme é "simplesmente maravilhoso"
Can there be any other music more beautiful and triumphant? I think not! This music sais to the world, that good will win over evil! And that justice will prevail. Incredible piece of music! I heard it for the first time when Navalny was just saved from the Novitchok poisoning, and ever since it is the "piece of hope and justice" for me...🎆
Stunning.
De mis peliculas favoritas, nostalgia cuando la veo en Navidad.
Thank you! Just Beautiful! ❤
Love actually is all around.
This piece is amazing love the film too but the music is so epic!!
A true masterpiece!
Absolutely Beautiful!
you have a great composer over there and I have recently heard this music in a concert in Vienna
My favorite in all the world! Forever ❤️
Love is all around, I have no doubts about it.
The greatest Christmas movie and one of the greatest movies ever.
This movie gives me hope, joy, love and a little bit of sadness
I freakin adoooooore Love Actually 💘
Vi esta película hace años y me tocó tanto este tema. Ahora es la melodía preferida de mi hija para dormir.

A Favorite scene is of sweet Laura Linney rejoicing in the stairwell :-)
"Enough. Enough now,"
My favourite part of the film :)
Do u guys know what he means by that?
I think he means its time to end his pining for her and move on, even though he obviously still loves her.
So sad. He was in love with his best friend's girl.....
@@connorsmith1391 same here! absolutely love it, can imagine his pain...
My Daughter played this in Her wedding dress at Her wedding when the pianist took a break during the reception. I was in bits,
OMG if that were my daughter I would break so hard and cry
What a superb gesture. Doubtless inspired by the Holy Spirit, as all those higher and deeper things are.
Beautiful ❤
Beautiful Christmas Movie! My wife and me watched this romantic theme movie today, Dec 22, 2019. I put the playlist on my “To do guitar 🎸 instrumental “ project!!!
