It hurts a lot more personally because my four year relationship with my ex-girlfriend can be summed up in this song. Me and my ex very much did love each other, but I made a mistake that pretty much changed our relationship. I tried my best to make up for it, and she did eventually forgive me. But the pain I caused her was too great, and she left me because she didn’t like herself while being with me. We both hurt each other a lot, but it seems that she moved on from me completely, forgetting me and forgetting why she needed to. Meanwhile, I still have some of things that remind me of her. Like the latter half of the song, I remember all too well what we had. It was very painful and cathartic to hear a song that had the words I believe my ex can relate to, and I’m sure she has cried to this song many times after we broke up. I regret hurting her, and I miss her dearly. Like the lyrics: “Maybe this thing was a masterpiece before you tore it all up”. I hope you’re doing fine, kitty. If you ever read this, I love you. @@Nenebeautyy I’ve been better but it’s been a long time coming. We are both about to turn 19 and we have been together for three and a half year so we were pretty much teenagers when we first started dating. We still have love and respect for each other but we don’t want the same things from life. He wants to buy a house in our hometown and get married young and start a family almost straight out of college. I want to get my degree, go travelling, see the world. This has been making it hard to stay together as we both know that neither of us is willing to compromise on our dreams for the other.

Wow. I'm really amazed by each of her songs, new or old. She's the first one I heard singing a song with so long lines in a lyric but still managed to match them up with the beat and melody. She's like a white witch 'cause I've been enchanted, my sister the most definitely. Also, the melody of the chorus is somewhat familiar with the Teardrops of my guitar.
