- We sit down with Sandro Tonali as he prepares to return to action for the first time in ten months after serving a ban for betting offences.

As an English speaker struggling to learn a second language myself, I am so impressed with the likes of Sandro, Alex, Joelinton, Bruno, Emil, and others who work to pick up English as a second, third, or fourth language. Well done, lads.

His and Bruno's grasp of the English language is insanely good in such a short time. Obviously it's a bit hesitant, but he's talking about some seriously deep stuff here, and managing to articulate what he means in a language he's only been speaking a year. Very impressed - shows a great attitude and determination.

When he scores his first goal since his return. That is going to be such a tidal wave of emotion for him. And all the players and fans will go mental! Very humble guy and seems to have learned a lot mentally out of the game. Built his character up and no doubt that maturity will do him wonders for his career and life.
Going to be brilliant to finally see that joelinton, Bruno, tonali midfield 3 roaming the pitch consistently.
Good luck to the lad, and I'm sure he will repay the faith shown in him from all involved with Newcastle. He held his hands up, took the punishment, didn't whinge, and worked hard on all aspects of his career and life.

Just proves that no matter who you are, people are human and make mistakes. It takes a brave person to hold their hand up and acknowledge their mistakes. I would say the more you are in the public eye, the harder it is. Well done Sandro for holding your hand up and admit you error (esp in the public eye) but also the way you have dealt with it too. You were in the right place to get all the love and support to come out of that dark tunnel. Cannot wait for you to get on that pitch and just remind us how awesome you are in doing that you do best.

Makes me so happy not just that he is back, but the player he will be when he comes back. Bruno in this interview seems like he had a big impact on Sandro and with the way he has seemingly gone that extra mile to help someone like Sandro with this tough situation, you can see why the club has named him the new team captain.
