Im having surgery in two weeks and I've only had a phone appointment for my pre-op... I didn't get any obs taken or get any chance to ask questions... is this normal? Do i need to chase this up? Feeling nervous as mine was nowhere near as in depth as yours and i dont know anything about my surgery :(

So you could contact the secretary of whoever is doing your surgery - if you have a clinic letter or something like that it should have contact info on it, if not you can phone the main hospital number and ask to be put through to their secretary. Also, depending on the surgery you may not need obs or anything beforehand or they might be planning to do it on the day of your surgery (they usually take a full set of obs at this point anyway) . You’ll also get a chance to speak to your surgeon and nurse then as well. I would definitely suggest trying to get hold of the secretary! X
