    In all fairness, Vince was right on the money with putting the Dudleys in that camo gear. They looked ridiculous in tie dye and those shortalls, and the camo gave them the look of a serious heel tag team.
    It also once prompted Edge to deliver this zinger while doing guest commentary:
    “I really like the Dudleys’ new ring attire. It has this whole....Bushwhackers 2000 look.”

      The problem with Public Enemy was that they figured that they were bigger stars than they really were cause of their past success in ECW and to a lesser extent WCW and thought that they could dictate what they would or would not do and in a place like WWF/E where McMahon is the 1 saying this is what the outcome will be and they decide to go into business for themselves ,Well let's just say by the video of the match as proof NOT A GOOD IDEA!!!!! also what they did in ECW was bad business as well cause imagine the angle with PE and The Dudleys that could have been done had they played along .Instant Money and 1 hell of an angle but they didn't want to play along so they were shot on for lack of a better term and were handed their asses . Too bad cause that's 1 angle I think would have been worth seeing from a hardcore fan's perspective .

      @P4T1CK KING If you're going to use quotation marks at least mark sure what you're stating is correct. This is not what was said, you didn't listen to what was being said so you came to a wrong conclusion. Bubba never once said New Jack would be dead if he hadn't encouraged him to start jumping off balconies. What he said was New Jack would be dead if the Dudley's hadn't starting laying down on the tables and taking some of the impact off of New Jack. Bubba goes on to say that they never missed a mark and was always on top of the tables when New Jack dove off those balconies. So that is some strong logic, as wrestlers are hurt worse when there is nothing there to take some of the impact away. Your misinterpretation of what was said is illogical though, but it was never said in the video so it doesn't matter.

    For all those people hating on Public Enemy in 95 in Ecw Arena they were crazy over as faces. Bubba says that they accomplished more but that's only because WCW came and paid PE quickly. It took the Dudleys awhile to get that contract and in the end they were a much better team. But neither WCW nor WWE knew how to get PE over the way Paul did.

    • @lynchler
      @lynchler 6 лет назад +4

      For starters this is 2 months old, and if you read comments people were saying, especially people who saw them in WCW or WWe, they were shitting all over them. • @mikehsesnowich
      @mikehsesnowich 6 лет назад +10

      I was personal friends with Ted Petty. Lesser of an extent Johnny. Back in 1995 I saw Teddy almost every day. Great Guy. I remember when they were negotiating with WWF and WCW. I actually saw his offer from WWF in 1995. they offering him less money than WCW but a better commission on merchandise.
      We were all happy when they were going to be hired from either company. However, In the back of my head I knew they would not be given the same amount of freedom ECW did. They would not give as much TV coverage. There was no way WCW would let them have barbed wire matches or jump through balconies like in ECW. Back then it was cartoonish with the dungeon of doom vs. Hulk Hogan and friends. WWF was about a year or 2 away from the attitude era. In 1999 when they did go to WWF, it was the height of the attitude era and they were doing crazy spots. 2 people in the company Pat Patterson and Bruce Pritchard were really big pricks to them. they treated them like crap over signing with WCW 3 years before.

With that said, nobody in the wrestling world was scared of Dudley Boyz. They can't fight and you can see their body language change when they switch from a Public Enemy topic to New Jack. Vince steals gimmicks from other wrestling promotions all the time. It's obvious he made Dudley's copy the Gangstas imagery. Wanna earn that WWE paycheck you do exactly what Vince tells you. And that's what created the downfall of WWE....Vince even up to this day wants to control everything.

    Dudleys are arguably the greatest tag team of all time, my personal favoirite team was Edge & Christian though. The TLC matches with the Hardys also were iconic and will never be matched in my opinion. As for Public Enemy they may as well be a job squad compared to the Dudleys.

  • @craigstrachan
    @craigstrachan 7 лет назад +19

    Remember that whole incident with Public Enemy refusing to sell the 3D move and The Dudleys literally beat the crap out of them .Also have seen the match with PE against the Acolytes where they got the crap kicked out them even worse than The Dudleys did to him . Also regarding all the shit that went on between New Jack and The Dudleys how they stole their music and look can understand what they are saying that McMahon is the 1 who dictates what the look and music is going to be so be pissed with McMahon about it .New Jack just flat out doesn't like them and wouldn't se surprised if they feel the same after all the words exchanged .Fans of both The Dudleys and New Jack for what they did in ECW and wrestling period but whatever beef they have is between them and to really say what's true or not there's 3 people that know what the real story (or at least what they believe to be the story lol.) and they have their versions of what is whether truth or not that's on them . If you really wanna look at it regardless of whatever look who was more successful and that pretty much sums it up . Not a knock against anybody just stating facts .

    To add to my previous comment it was a case that Public Enemy thought that they could call their own shots and dictate what they wanted to do or not and in places like WWE you can't do that cause it will cost you your job like it did for them .In ECW don't really know much other than they refused to stay down after The Dudleys did 3D on Johnny Grunge and he got up and Dudleys went back and beat the crap out of him .Respect the fact that Dudleys give somewhat respect to New Jack and admit that they were helping the situation to where nobody got hurt and helped him whether New Jack will say the same is unlikely but sounds to me that Dudleys are pretty much over that scenario and are pretty much whatever on that subject . Like I also stated in my last comment as to who was more successful and this is by no means a knock against anybody .Let me put it this way . New Jack carved out his legacy his way and The Dudleys/Team 3D did that as well and that's all it boils down to .
