Question: I have Seagate 3.5HDD 1000GB, and my PC/CPU not in use. Sold it to scrap taking out this Seagate HD. Now by using this cable, can we copy all those older folders/files from this hard disk to Laptop or External drive?
Data recovery happen in some devices but not in all. Because the setting partition of internal hdd is different from external HDD so whenever we connect as external HDD using this converter it will ask for format..

In my old desktop hdd the OS loaded is windows 7 and in the new one it is windows 10 (pirated version).

Hard disk run as usual it doesn't matter is it new or old. If you want to run your laptop smoothly and faster use SDD instead of Hdd

There is no way rather than formatting. Backup your imp data as much as possible. Insert your hdd in laptop ... Wait for responding

I have hard disk which was running on windows 7 and had a password. I haven't used that driver for over 5+ years. Can I get my data from it without getting formatted ? The hard disk have 2 partitions. I need data from D drive. Os is installed on C drive
Put your Hard drive in other computer if the OS is uncorrupted then absolutely you will be able to recover your data.. My opinion is don't use this adapter.. because to convert internal to external HDD, computer always ask to formate

@@hafiskm4305 drive conflict depends on condition of driver.. removing a HDD with OS and replace with it other HDD with OS , I think there will be a no conflict.. but you insert both HDD with OS then Boot problem may created...

It's not possible because without connecting the HDD to any source you will not able to moved the data to any external device. What I want say that if you make hdd external it cause formatting and if you star you hdd as internal which contain OS it will work fine
