Van Vleck House & Garden in Montclair, New Jersey

Van Vleck House and Gardens is a former private estate managed as a resort
non-profit community in Montclair New Jersey
It has a public botanical garden that has developed over several
generations.
The rhododendron and azalea exhibit displays numerous hybrids, several of the
which are named after members of the Van Vleck family.
The property had been in the hands of the Van Vleck family until 1993 when it was
given to the Montclair Foundation.
The main house, built in 1916 by Joseph Van Vleck Jr. as a villa
Mediterranean, is available for non-profit organization events.
A Chinese wisteria planted in 1939 climbs the pillars of the back porch.
Between trees, flowers, shrubs and herbs, they have more than 400 species of plants, which on the page will be able to find a list of each of these and their exact location.
