Lucio Battisti was soooo great! He was not that special singer, his talent was beyond the singing itself, lyrics and interpretation did the mix. You don't just listen to his songs, you grow with them and they never leave you, never. Of course this is true if you are from Italia
Lucio Battisti is one of my favorites together with Battiato, De Andrè, Fossati ... Battisti in the last years of his life experimented with new electronic sounds and new languages by collaborating with Pasquale Panella. Listen: Fatti un pianto L' Apparenza Cosa succederà alla ragazza. Thanks for reaction ! ^_^

Pamela Genderian ok, so trash 99% of Bob Dylan songs: Good lyrics but poor music and not very talented singer (just like Lucio Battisti, who is instead a GREAT musician) I can play guitar and piano, I enjoy playing this song on my acoustic guitar. The tempo and chord progression is great. Probably you don't know much about music. Songs aren't only music or only lyrics, are a mix of those two components. If you cant understand the lyrics you miss 50% of the thing
@@lorenzor2555 Bob Dylan poor music? Probably you have missed something. The finest musicians have played in the albums of Bob Dylan, starting from Crosby Still & Nash and ending with Grateful dead, Tom petty, George Harrison and plenty of others. I know a lot about italian music and Lucio Battisti is not so interesting. perhaps he's good for the taste of italians, but musically he's like hundreds of other international acts that we have heard before.
Pamela Genderian i know all the great musicians who playied with BD, and I have probably most of his historical albums. The musicians were great, yes, but the music (melody, harmony, chord progressions) not so much. This is why BD was so impressed by the Beatles, who did were phenomenal musically talented, and asked his friend George Harrison how they could write so memorable melodies. Also he was amazed by the Beatles "wrong" but beatiful chords, not knowing that the Beatles used "modulations" and modes, which are what for me distinguish an average composer from a talented composer (very few actually can do this in a simple a natural way, you have to be naturally gifted, like Sting for instance) Anyway, all best italian musicians playied who Lucio Battisti (also some english musicians, etc) as well. I doubt Even David Bowie once cited Lucio Battisti as one his preferred songwriters, strange?

Just to provide a context, he was not the greatest singer, but rather a genial musician who basically set the foundations of modern Italian music.
Battisti is number one
