video shows how to make a 3-wick survival candle. candle is comparable to many of the 3-wick survival candles currently on the market. price to buy them ranges from $6-$16. cost to make them $2 (wax $1, tuna cans 85 cents, wicks 5 cents each). good for blackout conditions, car stranding, emergency/bug-out bag, camping and more. be prepared for hurricane season!
*Tip: if you use repurposed wax from old candles and recycled tuna cans (like i did) they become 'almost free' to make!
*The design of this candle is loosely based off of my tuna can "oil burner" designs. (this just uses wax instead of vegetable or olive oil)
Note: for safety, make sure to use the double boiler (pan-in-pan) method to melt the wax.
