@@ri_3664 The first Black Sabbath album is still my favourite to this day. I first bought it when I was 15 in 1982. Everything about it: The artwork, the title track, the song sequence, the atmosphere. It was just.....perfect. It remains my all-time favourite metal album.
Used to listen to this album on 8-track hanging out with my buddies spending the night. The music would play all night on 8-track, no problem. Waking up to this jam just put a different spin on the day. One of their greatest (though we are lucky enough that Sabbath didn't make it easy to pick JUST one) 😉 Great band, great song, great memories of childhood. Sabbath Baby!!! 🖤🤘
My favorite Black Sabbath song. And I know it's a cover song. I've heard the original by Retaliation. The original is a good song, but Black Sabbath entirely reinvented it and made it far greater.
This is also my favorite track of sabbath, making it one of my favorite songs period. The meshing between geezer and Tony is genius. the buildup of intensity is unlike any other rythym, always gets me pumped.

On the Black Sabbath r Album I have, this comes from the song 'Sleeping Village' After this there was an instrumental track titled 'Warning'. Their first album "Black Sabbath' was a great start to this band.

Like a lot of Black Sabbath's early material, this song is steeped in the blues. The downbeat lyrics, the emotional guitar playing, the impassioned singing... it's all there. This brilliant track is, in every sense, on par with blues classics like "Born Under A Bad Sign" by Albert King. Besides Led Zeppelin, perhaps no other group better encapsulates the blues roots of heavy metal.
Hey I luv black sabbath I didn't know it was about the Vietnam War I first listened to it when I was 17 years old in 1983 now I am 57 years younger ha ha still luv it ❤
