Nuff respect to Demus ( RIP) but in my opinion the Early B/ Supercat combination on sound system was far superior than the Supercat/ Demus combination. Early B/ Supercat had been together from King Majesty sound in St Thomas before they took over Jaro sound after the late great Jim Kelly passed away.
Yes but remember its Mr Demus that brought the cat to the highest peak of his career , the demus and cat combination is the ultimate , hence without the demus there's no cat .
@@andrewyoung4552 I have to respectfully disagree with you on this one. Without Early B there is no Supercat as essentially in the early days Cat was Early B's apprentice before his dj graduation. Supercat rose to be on the top tier of sound system DJs in 84/85 when Jaro was running tings before Sturmars. Cat was already the finished product lyrics wise by the time he linked up with Demus on Sturmars. Nuff respect to Demus still, on sound system his peak was 80 to 82 in my opinion.
In my opinion, when Supercat and Early B did a spar, it was a better combination than Nicodemus and Cat. Instead of Cat sticking to his own style inspired by the Doc, he decided to adopt Demus style and soft out.
