He's such a great director....so intelligent and makes films that aren't predictable, easy and where the audience aren't spoon-fed but are made to think....
Solid interview. Got to admire the humility and conveying , "yeah none of us will ever actually know what it was like to be this guy. But we can imagine together."
In every interview with Christopher Nolan he is so clear, and articulate. Someone ones told me that a way a person speaks are usually how they think, and these interviews makes for a great example of that.
I have to disagree with this statement. There are those who are clear thinkers and poor speakers. Speaking is a skill, and not all are polished at it, but it does not mean they are not clear and sometimes brilliant thinkers.
Nolan is going to win Oscar for this movie.
He is directing the best movies ever made. I find that they are immense and life affirming experiences. Another main character taking action!
Great interview. In fact, the whole series of Oppenheimer interviews Rory has done are really good. Got hooked by the Cillian Murphy video and just kept going. Nolan is a brilliant director. The Dark Knight is a bonafide masterpiece and I'm feeling like Oppenheimer could end up being his magnum opus. Can't wait to see it.
