I drove up there twice in my 4x4 two years ago, no problems. I met the owner up there one of the times. One of the times i was up there for a couple of days due to a 40cm snowfall.
@@philjd86 how did you drive up was there no boom gate there back in the day

@@TasHikingAdventures You did it once, so now you have the right quollifications!
Omg lol 😂🤣😂 your on fire 🔥🔥🔥 lol 🤣😂🤣
All the comforts of home ah.
40 50 Years or so our bush bivies/huts were simler.
Full of hand cut Tawa and other burnable woods for the next visitors visit.
But over the years now I've noticed a decline with a few that use it all but never replace the wood for no body.
Why is it that some people think like that today here in NZ.
Are they the new breed plan lazy no hopers or what??
This is private property I think mate, it's well hidden and not very well known for so alot of trash people cant find it and go near it so the supply and inside is looked after very well yes, I hope.to come to NZ one day and hike it's like here but NZ is on steroids compared to Tassie haha 😆
Is that out the back of bronte park / little pine lagoon
No it was skittle ball hut got burnt down during the fires nothing is beyond little pine lagoon now sorry
And if you go through my videos you can see the private and open huts I've been to in that area.....skittle ball house) Smith's top hut, and a private property I cannot name sorry with the bottles and shed etc, so yeah I've pretty much know people up there they told me that the one that was on lake Fergus got taken down by the land owner or something 😎💪🍻
@@TasHikingAdventures Ahh Okay Thanks For The Info
This hut is on a plot of private land surrounded by the national park. It’s owned by a University professor who hikes into it. The track is restricted for vehicle access despite boom gates lying on the ground on one end and a track around a boom gate on the other end. It’s a magic place. We’ve been up there a couple of times, last time was 2021, funny thing is the same carton of long life milk was on the table and the same jacket was on the chair back in 2021 😂
Thanks for the info I left a note regarding coming back but didn't hear a thing so I've just left it at that...maybe take.my wife up in winter for a trip it's a awesome place
Beautiful nature. you walk alone?
Mostly yes and thanks 👍🍻
@@TasHikingAdventures Aaaa cool. Have a great day.
How far was the walk in there mate?
@@DUBLDENM not sure didn't record my walk in sorry 😐
