    Another great helpful video. Plastic surgeons must hate you. LOL! For those of you who are watching Peta's video(s) for the first time. Facerobics really really works and is better than cosmetic surgery. They take more time to get results than surgery, but ultimately you'll look better because you are working out ALL the muscles in your face not just having a few muscles tacked back up under the skin by the surgeon while many of the other muscles remain lax. That's one of the major reasons why cosmetic surgery sometimes creates an unnatural look. If you work hard (really do the exercises intensively) for several months, you can turn the clock back on your face by years and possibly even decades. No kidding! I'm informing ALL of my 40-something and 50-something+ friends. After they see me, they are all immediately believers. : )

      Terri Pebsworth Terri, I can't thank you enough for this wonderful testimony! When I read it I ran and got John my husband to read it also, and we were both so delighted to read this!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you! And, I agree with you totally, even face surgery cannot give the wonderfully natural look that face exercises give! Terri, thank you again, I cannot say it enough!!

      FACEROBICS® - Face Exercises You're welcome! And it's true. Facerobics are a Godsend for women who have neither the money or the ability to take time time off work for pricey cosmetic procedures with long down times. They're also great for women like me sister, who can afford to pay for any surgical procedure she wants and can take the time off necessary for recovery, BUT is TERRIFIED of going under the knife (a.k.a. surgery). Not to mention be fabulous for famous people who end up in the tabloids whenever they have any cosmetic surgical procedure done and suddenly look much better/younger. The tabloids won't have anything to instigate except the mystery of why the person looks so much younger after 6 months. (Women don't tell their beauty 'secrets.') LOL!

    OK, I feel like an uncoordinated DORK!! I am having the hardest time lifting my brows regularly. I am definitely not doing it as fast as you are! I hope I will still be able to get results if I slow down my routine to what I can do while still maintaining the proper position and hold on the other muscles. I'm just starting this today (although I've been watching your various videos for several days now) so hopefully after the first 2 weeks I'll get my coordination going.
    Thanks!

      You will Kate, it doesnt happen over night, we are not used to moving our facial muscles in the way you are attempting. Give yourself some space to learn, and be kind to yourself :-)

    I've had botox so many times. I don't think i have been happy with the results in years, but I keep getting it done because when it wears off, I don't know what I hate worse, the wrinkles or the distorted look. I am going to try this again. I just find it hard to stick to it and do the full face. I am going to give it another go.

    Dear Peta, this is a wonderful exercise that I included in my routine. However while doing it my nose muscles are also moving up & down. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong? Thanks for your time & all the energy you put into this amazing channel.

    • @facerobics
      @facerobics  9 лет назад +8

      Figen Oncu Hi Figen, yes, it is a very good one! However, your nose muscles should not be moving, it means you are moving your procerus muscle too much. (the muscle between your eyes) In this exercise, you should be pressing firmly with all your fingers on your brow and along the hairline. Then, you should slightly pull down your brow with your forefingers so when you lift up your brow it hardly moves at all. What this does is activate the muscles at the back of your scalp, which in turn strengthens and starts to firm and pull up your forehead. It takes a bit to master. Possibly watch the video again, and do it in front of the mirror along with me and practice until you feel the muscles at the back of your head moving. I hope that helps!

    Hello! I like to call you "The miracle worker". Every time I do this excercise I can feel the after burn of the excercise. It's like a light throbbing sensation and I can tell it's really working! I was tempted by botox. God was I tempted, however, I feel this excercise is really starting to work. My forehead lines are very deep (or should I say WERE very deep) and I can see the beginning of the excercise taking shape! I'm very excited about this as I was looking old before my time!
    God, I'm so glad I found your channel! Your a true inspiration and your explanation for each excercise is so easy to understand and follow!
    Keep up the good work!
    I look forward to more!

    Correct me if I'm wrong - is this video ( and the other 5 videos ) an instruction to the first series? In other words - does the level 1 consist of only 6 exercises or there are more I am not aware of? RUclips is very confusing.

    My word, it is like someone is putting the top half of my head in a vice. I could only do a few, before it started really hurting and the muscles completely exhausted. WOWIE!!!! I guess I don't use those muscles much, pro'bly why my brows are starting to droop a bit. I will have to slowly work up to more reps in the next few weeks but I like this one. Really feels like I'm working muscles which have gone lazy. Love your videos. Love your disposition and can do attitude. Thanks for all your sharing n hard work. You look fab! Soon I will look fab too. I hv bn debating a lift for slight sag, but really prefer not to do that. I have bn doing what I call my Mona Lisa exercise for the corners of my mouth (My little invention that is helping me), but until I happened upon your videos, I nvr thought to apply exercises to my entire face. You are brilliant! Thanks!!!

      xrisku Hi Xrisku, thank you for your wonderful comment! Yes, try to slowly work up the reps til you get to about 100 and do them slow and strong. Also to get the full benefit of face exercise, you do need to exercise your whole face. This video might help you get started - ruclips.net/video/TbCnjIx2Gzk/видео.html. I hope that helps!

    Dear Peta, I´m getting in touch with your face exercice program for the first time now, and I apreciate your work and, also, the fact you provide us with this wonderfull face trainning for free. It´s very kind of you, to do tha! Thank you.
    I´m starting know, with the FES1, and I´m trying to organize myself with the trainning days. You advise that We should train 5/6 days per week, with 1 day off, after each 3 days of face work. So, I cannot practice on Mondays, I think the best is to do it like this: tuesd/wednesd/thursd - 6af off - Sat/Sund - Mond off... What you think? Thank you, and have a great day. Best wishises. Ana.

    Thank you so much I just subscribed to your Chanel and I just did this exercise I love the way my forehead feels you really feel it puts those muscles to work I'm 26 years old and I just noticed im starting to develop fine lines in my forehead so I'm trying to reverse those horrible lines the most natural way!! How long do I have to wait before seeing results? :-)

    • @facerobics
      @facerobics  8 лет назад +2

      +Wildelise Ortiz - Hi Wildelise, thanks for subscribing! I cant tell you how long it will take, we are all different. You will however feel the muscles underneath your skin firming, thats when your face starts to make changes. If you do the full face routine, you will have faster results. You need to do a full face routine regularly. Start here - ruclips.net/video/0t4bWf18VE8/видео.html, read the instructions here - renew-me.com.au/exercise_along_with_me_series_levels/exercise_along_with_me_series_1/index.html. When you finish that, go to series 2, do the same thing, then after 6 weeks, go back to series 1 and start again. Alternate the routines for a few months. Watch my newest video I uploaded a couple of days ago, it will show you how to do the routine. Hope that helps!

      Brandy Hi Brandy, if you over exercise the area you will create more wrinkles, so I would not recommend you do this exercise along side of the other one. It would be best to do one, or, the other. Also, this exercise you need to be careful not to stretch the forehead too much, and, you can only do it for about 6 weeks, and then need to change it to another one. I hope that helps!

  • @16mmgal

    Peta, the forehead exercises are easier for me if I'm lying down in bed because my neck gets more support. Is this OK, or will I not get the same results as doing them standing in front of a mirror? Thanks so much, I am now in my seventh month and love it!

    Nice video Peta. Glad I found you. I was working another face exercise routine that I bought over a year ago and have done them 4 - 5 times a week. they were not your exercises, let me be clear, They would take 30 min to complete. They did not work.
    I took pictures once a month and have compared them. Not much change, I mean I want to say no change, Very disappointing, so sad. I used a few other exercises from youtube also, of course do 10 reps and move on. I decided a month ago that I need to increase reps, and then I found your videos. I am 63 years old, and my birthday is in March. I wish more people would comment on how the exercises have benefited them. Does not seem like anyone comes back to comment on that. Oh well, I will be sure to let you know what happens in a few weeks. I will be taking a photo for now and one next month. I have been so disappointed wasting a year of my time and not seeing fabulous results. Wish me luck, or progress.

      RawSenior Hi Raw Senior, thanks so much for a heart felt comment! I would encourage you to have a plan with your exercises, forehead, eyes, upper and lower cheeks, neck and nose if you want to work that too. You can go thru the videos, and find whichever ones you want to start with, then after 4-6 weeks, change them to a different exercise, but exercising the same muscle group. Also, just keep doing the exercises regularly for 8-10 mins a day, upping the repetitions, as you have realised, as needed. Try to do them in the morning before getting up also. I cant wait to hear how these exercises go for you! It sounds like from your name that you are on raw food also, that will certainly help! Thank you Raw Senior again, and if you need to contact me anytime, please feel free to do so!!! Hope that helps!!

      Hi Jennifer here is the Facerobics Program and how to follow it properly - renewme.com.au/where-to-start-and-how-to-use-the-facerobics-face-exercise-program-for-your-face-exercise-success/. With this program you must be doing a full face routine, if you don’t, you run the risk of causing more sagging and wrinkling of the skin. This is because the program is a very strong exercise program. Everything, along with the Exercise Along With Me videos are in the playlists on this channel. Make sure to work thru the series as instructed starting from Series 1 to Series 6. When you get to Series 6 (if there is not a new series) start at Series 1 again and move thru the program again. All of the explanation videos are in the information bar at the top right hand corner of the video, the little circle, just click on it, or in the playlists on the channel. Also if you haven’t already remember to subscribe and hit the notification bell also, as the program is forever evolving and you could miss out on updates. I would encourage you to go to the playlists and watch the beginner videos, and techniques before you start.

I hope it works as well for me as it does for you!

    When you say you are "lifting" the muscle, are you pushing with your fingers to get the muscle to work? I can't work out how this is working - I can feel the back of the head muscle moving but I am still not sure I am doing it right!!
    Also, some facial exercise practitioners say that you should not over do the exercises. Is there such a thing as too much?
    And just one more thing (!) how long did it take you personally before you noticed any results? Thanks Peta!

    • @facerobics
      @facerobics  9 лет назад +2

      Maxine Collins Hi Maxine, welcome! I am lifting my brow muscles, the corrugator and the procerus, and isolating the frontalis at the same time strongly. Just try to make a surprised look, but stronger, however, as you do, the muscles will not move much because you are isolating them, and it is in the action of strong isolation that the Occipitalis muscle at the rear starts to activate with movement. Yes, I agree, you can over do face exercises, just like you can on your body. The muscles are exactly the same, but they are clearly much smaller. So, 10 minutes of vigorous exercise is enough each day. You can do a set at night also, but try to do them a week about. I started noticing changes after about 4-6 months, but also before, around my nasolabial folds as I was using my device along with the exercises. I am sure you have seen my before pics, and, also, I didnt eat that well, so it hindered progress! It was when I really started bedding in and doing them every day I started seeing the changes! I hope that helps!

    Peta, thx for your detail on the how-to of your exercises. Just starting your program after reviewing 5 Basic Principles and the video Series 1 for Beginners. My question: when doing this exercise as well as the one for Procerus, the outer corner of my eyes (left eye more than right)pull in toward bridge of my nose. Is that because of weak muscles around my eyes? I'm not squinting w/my eyes...do find this exercise challenging. Suggestions pls?

    • @facerobics

      +Judy Mongello - you need to focus on what muscles you are working at the time. It does not come over night as we dont normally use those muscles that much. Also, try it in the mirror

    Hi Peta, after trying this exercise the back of my neck is feeling the work out. Is this normal? I'm not sure if I'm doing it correctly. Thank you

    • @facerobics
      @facerobics  5 лет назад +3

      The reason why this is happening is because you need to bring your focus to the front of your head, because you are feeling some pain at the back, your focus naturally goes to that area, but as you bring your focus back to the muscle you are exercising you will not feel the pain. This applies to every area you are exercising. Focus on the muscle you are exercising and it will not happen.

      Hi Sogol, I am glad you want to start the programme, but you need to look around the channel and watch the videos first to get the information. There are prolific instructions (and sound - not sure what that is about) right across the channel about how to practice the programme, along with thousands of comments and questions that I have answered. All of my videos are listed in the playlist in the muscle groups and in the levels of the Exercise Along With Me videos that I have created for you. Also, if you havent already, I would suggest that you subscribe to the channel so you get important updates, and dont miss out on anything, and learn how to practice face exercises safely and correctly. I hope that helps

      +Lisa March - Hi Lisa, when you do this exercise, place your fingers over your forehead the way I show, then gently push down. It feels like you are stretching the skin, and if you do, just do it ever so slightly as it is not good to stretch the skin. Watch the press and plant technique that I created, its in the play list, and you will see what I mean,

      +Karen Santella - hi Karen you need to do a full face routine regularly. Thank you for wonderful exercises but I am a bit confused about something . I have done series 1 level 1 for six weeks starting with 50 reps then 100 then 150 . I started to watch video explaining level 2 exercises and noticed that I may have done first level wrong.I read that I should be doing series 1 level 1 for 50 reps for 2 weeks then series 1 level 2 for 2 weeks at 100 reps and then series 1 level 3 for 150 reps for 2 weeks . But on video explaining level 2 exercises you say that I should replace level 1 exercises with level 2 exercises for 6 weeks . So I am confused do I do series 1 level 2 exercises for 6 weeks at 50-100-150 ratio or do I do it for 2 weeks at 100 reps and then go to series1 level 3 exercises for 2 weeks at 150 reps . Which is correct ? Please let me know ! Thanks for great videos and great coaching !

I so just s you in this video and I really try to not wrinkle my forhead because I only have a few very fine hardly noticeable lines there. But no matter what I do they get a little deeper with this exercise and also with the eye exErcise. Is there another way to do this? Or maybe I just shouldn’t clench the muscle quite so thighs as it seems you do in the video?

      Hi Kitt here is the Facerobics Program and how to follow it properly - renewme.com.au/where-to-start-and-how-to-use-the-facerobics-face-exercise-program-for-your-face-exercise-success/.

    Hi, when you place your forefingers and index fingers on your forehead like that and you pull apart, do you need to push the fingers downwards while using the forehead muscles to push upwards against it in resistance? It almost looks like that upward movement is caused by you pulling up with your fingers but you’re saying you’re not moving your fingers or hands at all?

    Hi Peta, I am doing this exercise for a month now. I know it's time to switch to another forehead exercise like you teached us, but I like it because I can really feel the muscles at the back of my head working and i am scared that if I leave it now then I will never see that "eyebrow lift" that I want so much. When I am doing this exercise and rise my eyebrows, my hairline is moving downwards and it creates wrinkles on my forehead. To avoid this I have to push the index fingers on my hairline upwards and at the same time my middlefingers downwards and this is a little tricky. I would like to know if your hairline/muscle on top of your head is also moving forwards/downwards or does it happen only to me?

    • @facerobics
      @facerobics  9 лет назад

      Sapnasabi1 Hi Sabi, lovely to hear from you! It has been such a long time! When you do this exercise, at no time should your brow or forehead be moving downwards! It is an upwards lift! Yes, you do need to isolate your forefingers at your hairline, press down hard, then isolate your fingers at your brow, and press down hard, then pull the whole forehead down and then pull your fingers apart vertically. When you lift your brow, there should be no wrinkling at all. Your hairline muscle should be moving upwards! If you have anymore problems with it, after trying the instructions, go back to the video again, and watch what I am doing, then if you still can't just email me here, and we can go thru it together - renew-me.com.au/contact_us/index.php. I hope that helps Sabi? !

      FACEROBICS® - Face Exercises Thank you Peta for your help. After doing exactly what you told me and trying again and again finally I got it. Yeah!!! At the beginning I had still trouble but then I started to focus only on my upper forehead and to forget about my eyebrows (which are lifting by themselves) and to visualise only my upper forehead muscles to be pulled back by the muscles at the back of my head. At first my hairline was not moving at all, but at least it didn't move down like before but then after a few days I started to feel and see the muscles under my index fingers moving back. I think I had to wake up this muscles first and now I can do this exercise in the way it should be done. Now that I have solved this problem I would like to ask you what is your best exercise to target the little crease/sagging (I suppose it's the beginning of "marionette lines")that I have on one side just under the corner of my lips. Thanks again

      Hi Sabi, yes it does take practice to get these exercises, they are not as easy as they look, but once you get it, you never forget them! I am so pleased you persevered! You will be so pleased you did! Now, to the marionette lines, if you go to my playlist, you will see a number of exercises that will help, however, the Cheek Plumper is a good one for it, and make sure all your focus is around your mouth area when doing it. Remember to activate the Mind-Body connection when doing it!!! I hope that helps Sabi, and love hearing from you!! xx

      Elle, try to place 3 fingers over the forehead, middle fingers in the middle and the fore fingers over the hairline and the ring fingers over the brow. Press firmly and try again. Make sure to watch yourself in the mirror to make sure you are doing it correctly.

    Hi Peta... would you mind sharing with us roughly how long it took til that magical day arrived when you noticed that your brows had lifted? I appreciate everyone is different so the results with vary from person to person, but it would be good to know (given we are the same vintage) for expectation management purposes! :-) Regards Lee

      Lee Mark Hi Lee, lovely to hear from you, well, to be honest with you Lee, all I can remember one day was looking in the mirror and thinking something was different about my brows, and then realised it was they had started lifting. Once I started the eye scrunches however, it only too a matter of months to see the difference. Just keep doing it, we are all different! I can tell you if it happened for me, it has to happen for you too! xxx

    Hi again Peta. I just studied this as part of the first routine of 6 exercises and wondering since I have strong "11" line (actually starting to be "111" do I need to include another exercise along with this for the procerus (frown line) area. I had mentioned to you I tried frownies but I can see now that was just a bandaid approach and not a very good one at that as all it did was stretch my skin while I slept. Do you think that actually made my lines worse? Also when I watch you it seems like your fingers are moving more than mine and your whole head is moving..is it o.k. if my head is very still or does that mean my muscles are so much weaker than yours at this point. can't wait to show you the progress on my 111 line! That will be a miracle. Also what do you think of the technique called rubbing out the wrinkle for these lines where you are supposed to pull apart tightly and rub on the line as they say the skin has adhered to the muscle? Thank you so much for your help. You have such a lovely presentation in each video and have such a calming effect!

    • @facerobics
      @facerobics  9 лет назад +2

      Esteri G. Hi Esteri, thanks so much for your kind words! When you do this exercise, you need to press down really firmly on your forehead. Not pull down, but press down on the forehead muscle. What this will do is activate the occipitalis muscles at the back and help exercise them. You know you are doing it correctly when you feel those back of the head muscles slightly moving. Try not to stretch apart the skin on your forehead too much. Just press firmly. I hope that helps

      FACEROBICS® - Your Face Exercise Coach Thanks for that. So I guess when you said on the video to push down you just meant to press down not bring the forehead skin towards the eyebrows. Still wondering though what else you would recommend to work on my severe 11 lines. Also is there any merit to spending time massaging the 11 lines to detach the skin from the muscle?

    • @facerobics
      @facerobics  9 лет назад

      Hi Esteri, you can try the full face routine, it will help overall, not just one area, and you will get faster results - ruclips.net/video/0t4bWf18VE8/видео.html

      FACEROBICS® - Your Face Exercise Coach I have been doing the first routine for 3 weeks now so knowing that would there one more ex. you recommend to add to that to target the 11 lines? Have you heard before of the technique called rubbing out the wrinkle to addition to actual exercising the muscle you rub on the line?

      Hi April, thanks for your question, and welcome to my channel. No I haven't had either as I decided to go down the face exercise route. If I had any sort of fillers or injections, I wouldn't be able to move my muscles to do the exercises. Also, a face lift is great, however, only face exercise brings back that youthful glow as it gets all of the blood flowing and kickstarts the production of collagen in small amounts. Also, the other reasons why I didn't go down that track, is that it costs a whole heap of money, money that my husband would not let me spend! lol. We did a Christmas video, and he says it there... lol! I hope that helps!

      I watched more of your videos (Thank you for all of them!) and heard you state that you haven't had any procedures. I've been researching face exercise for a few weeks and am so happy to find your channel. I purchased a book but returned it because I don't do well with following text and only two photos per exercise. I'm not willing to have procedures done and it is so refreshing to find there is a better option to combat the aging of my 54 year old skin. I have just started to see some sagging so this is a good time to get started with the exercises.

    • @facerobics

      Fighterz ok, so, you need to press firmly on your forehead, and once you do, the back of your neck and back of scalp muscles will start to move. the key is pressing firmly on your forehead so you can hardly move your brows. they should not be move hardly at all. This is a hard exercise and it takes time to master... so give yourself a bit of time to practice it and get it right.

    Hi, Peta!
    Thank you for the video!
    I have a question, though:
    As I understand it, I should place the four fingers on my forehead (as shown) and then press and pull them to "smooth" the skin? So press and pull sidewards and downwards? That kind of doesn't feel right because the skin below my eyebrows gets pushed in my eyes. And after that, I think I should move the muscles in my forehead up. But here it seems that either nothing happens, or only the middle fingers move (alongside with the forehead muscles) causing wrinkles. I definitely can't feel any other muscles (back of the head or the ones under my ring fingers) move.. What am I doing wrong? I have watched the video multiple times and have been practising in front of a mirror but I still can't figure it out...

    my nose muscles twitch like a bunny. Somethings wrong with that picture.

    Hello PETA, I have arranged a time to do these exercises faithfully 6 days a week and now found these videos that give instructions for each exercise. BUT I'm still a bit confused: you seem to be nodding your head up and down while you use your forehead muscles to lift your brow, but you don't say anything about that? Please advise! Thank you 🤗

    I have been doing Peta's exercises for about eight days. The end of my nose is more defined and my under-eye troughs have improved a bit, as have the dark circles under my eyes. My upper lip wrinkles have improved and my lips have plumped up. I believe that daily massage of accupuncture points has helped the process along.
