    Thanks for posting this. Sorhleod is a stunningly beautiful song, perfect in every aspect, from the quality of Liv's vocals to the musicianship. The song is sung in Old English, and the musicianship is masterful and tasteful.

    For those who are wondering, this is a haunting song in Old English about Norwegian sailors perishing at sea and calling out to Maria (Latin for Mary). According to the band's description of the song, it took place at the beginning of the Christianization of Norway, after some Viking Jarldoms had converted to Catholisism

    Because of the Song Meredead and this one, I'm no addicted to Old English :D It is just amazing and beautiful :D I wish I could speak this language :D

    This song is so beautiful! With regard to the langauge, all I can say is that I am a native speaker of British English and I wish my language was still this beautiful!

    i know the band is Norwegian but the language is old English as i've already said which is the point i was trying to get across when asked what language it was someone replied Norwegian which it isn't.
